That fishing net is called Chinese Fishing Net.Once just a fishing accessory, it is now a big bait for tourists. Chinese fishing nets - Cheenavala in Malayalam - is believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng He, from the court of the Kubla Khan. The fishing net established itself on the Kochi shores between 1350 and 1450 AD.
Welcome back after your holidays. Historically Romans, Jews, early Christians, Chinese, Arabs, Portuguese, Dutch, French and British came for trading. Over 2000+ yrs so lot of history and people settling here. Because of Western Ghats only people from Tamil Nadu and Mysore were coming here due to geography. So most people came here via sea. Great video!
visit ashtamudi lake resorts in kollam district..its nice , then thenmala eco tourism also good..both in kollam.district, jatayu rock also there in kollam district..
More TRADITIONAL CHINESE NETS ARE MADE BY ELDERLY FISHERMEN , FOR USE AS DISPLAY EQUIPMENT EVEN IN PONDS NEAR TOURIST RESORTS, than for really fishing in sea shore.
Madam jackfruit hum keralite bhi sabji banathe hai. Or fish or chicken ki sath wo bahuth acha lagtha hai ek bar khake deklo. Season main hamara gar ka ek time ka khana hai jackfruit ❤
Hi, kaisi ho? Hope you are doing well. Kache kathal ki sabjiyaan keral ke log bhi banathe hain- kache kathal ki sambar aur coconut masala daal ke dry sabzi bhi banathe hain, ‘thoran’ bolte hain usko. Haan magar, pake hue se bohot saare desserts bhi banathe hain- steamed appam and deep fried jaise gulgule ki tarah aur payasam/gur ka kheer bhi hoti hain pake hue kathal se.

There is no north south divide. Bharth is always one by culture North fought the invaders so we are seeing so many ruined But south nurtured the culture.
There is huge cultural difference between different regions. Kerala shares more culturally (food, mindset, traditions) with Sri Lanka than other areas in India
