I completely disagree with the comments saying this was bad because the background drowned out the soloists - this seemed like an informal performance, which means usually the soloist is not mic'd and the background still performs at the volume they would be if the soloist was mic'd. I thought Elastic Heart was amazing, and the vocal was stunning. It's not "screaming," it's called an emotional belt.
Congrats on capturing such a special performance. It's a magical experience when every singer goes on the same emotional journey through a performance, and you managed to catch a perfect display. While in college, I competed in ICCAs and SPEBQSA Quartet competitions, and this takes me back to the days when my groups simply lived in the moment and sang for each other rather than a judge. Formality and technicality be damned, this performance is where the soul of music shines. To the Nor'easters (if you read this), you all are such beautiful and talented people. Thank you for sharing your gift!
This is the best cover of Elastic Heart. I would believe the female soloist is Johanna Martendal. I love her voice which is so powerful, soft, and amazing. She nails the song. I have seen all Elastic Heart covers available on TH-cam. No one could successfully sing "You did not brake me. I'm still fighting for love." These are the hardest phrases in the whole song to sing. Of couse, Sia sings them beautifully so does Johanna. I can feel the "warring Sia stages" only in the original and this cover. I'm so sad Johanna have been retired :(
i'm at a loss for words. your arrangements are so complex yet simple enough to be powerful and captivating at the same time. well done nor'easters. and dat beatboxer tho....
omg I love the Nor'Easters so much because their tone quality and arrangements and harmonizations are so synchronized and it's amazing :) who's the highest soprano singer in Elastic Heart? like around the beginning?
Guys your voices are amazing but when you sing elastic hearth I thing the backup vocals was making the sounds, the voice of the principal vocals get lost. But it still AMAZING! I really hope you can make the complete version of all the songs :D
really good! i would work on the backup vocals pulling back some when they have solos it was sometimes hard to hear the solo singer but other than that the arrangement was amazing!
It was good but when you guys sang Elastic heart it fell apart the girl was screaming and then the backup vocals became louder and louder. You have a lot of potential bit put it to good use.
You guys just don't know how much I listen to these guys still...

Sia wrote both Diamonds and Elastic Heart but had Rihanna sing the former. But both songs have a similar heartbeat for that reason.
