I think it’s sad that every time a great star 🌟 does great with a show and has an co actress they. are so many like to start about them having an affair and I hate that it has violent graphics but they agree to watch it it’s a show I am sorry 😢 they feel that way. The comments about the "rape" scene between Jamie and Black Jack Randall seem strange to me. It was artfully done and showed Jamie's vulnerability as well as his deep love for Claire. I found the Shinty game scenes much more violent yet realized that part showed the animosity between Jamie and Dougal. Then there's Culloden... Take these scenes for what they are meant to be... very rich character illustration and plot movement.
Playing shinty is violent, yes, but voluntary and not likely to cause PTSD. Rape is far worse because of the humiliation and diminishment of the victim and always causes PTSD.

But Jamie voluntarily accepted Black Jack's "invitation" so that Claire could be free. It was obvious what it did to Jamie psychologically as well as physically. I mentioned shinty BECAUSE it was voluntarily and could lead to broken bones and even death. Jamie lived through the rape, even though it left more than one kind of scar on him... but he lived..
