Hyper tricky schrund crux, great management of the steep terrain on the upper spur. Many have fallen to their deaths doing that descent. Very well done. Conditions looked pretty good (except the ice). Congrats on a fantastic loop!
Mellow 70 degrees? Depends on a person's temperament. I'm a pretty fair weekend climber.....did Sunshine and Cooper Spur etc....no problem. Been up there anyway. I could not even watch this. One misstep...just one and it's over. Way beyond my ability to control my fear. No, not fear. Terror.
Climbing the bergschrund was slightly overhanging (I think most people traverse in above it). The rest was a mellow 70deg or less I belive. The ski was probably 45-50deg at the steepest.
Guy does a North Face solo and somebody who doesn't know anything about CLIMBING...criticizes the technique. Well done. Hard to beat your descent...stylish. Glissade under the right conditions is quick fun way down.
I dont know a whole lot about ice climbing but I dont think its a good thing to place to both tools side by side horizontally, especially when soloing. You might want to look that up or something but it seems sketchy
You have massive balls sir. Solo of the north face of Hood is insane! No protection? Mad man! Well done!
Nicely done.
The gear...the route...the conditions...they all made for a stimulating adventure.
Thanks!

What did you strap to your boots for rigidity with the skis?

Impressive But...no room for a mistake.
How steep was the steepest section? 70deg or did you have some vertical?
noice duude

Many have died on the North Face. In the 90's I think, several were killed, and my neighbor broke her arm. Be careful, too late for that I suppose.
