I am a sound guy and sometimes I have to work with speakers that have knobs broken off. I’ve found that digging my blade into the broken-off volume knob is an easy way to precisely work the damaged controls.
Getting into that broken pot, prying off the grill to the speaker cabinet, pushing dip switches inside a rack, stripping wire, cutting gaff, zipties, tie line and maybe some rope, and that's just load in stuff.
My dad told me that a knife was man’s first tool.it’s not just a weapon. He carried a knife every single day. I carry a knife every single day. I can’t imagine not having one.
@@Xannyphantom905most people don't carry knives for protection, it's a tool like the guy just said. nd if u carry a gun, u should carry a knife as well.
I used to be a cook and used my modded Mora Eldris with firesteel to light my kitchen at work. I don't smoke and every lighter I brought was stolen from my collegues. No one dares to light a cigarette with a Mora knife. Great success!
Bonus reasons I carry a Knife: shorten my son's drink straw at restaurants, opening the boxes his toys come in and cutting the plastic straps, removing clothing tags, breaking down cardboard boxes so they all fit in the recycle.
It's not an inconvenience and if nothing else there are emergency situations that it can come in handy. It's one of those things, I don't use mine everyday but when you need it you're really glad you have it! Swiss Army Knife and Benchmade Mini Adamas, or Griptilian.
I will say knifes are life saving and protective at times but also very beneficial and so cool to have, when something needs to be opened you pull it out and feel cool
I saw a quote from the mayor of London where he stated that “no one has a legitimate reason to carry a knife all of the time” or words to that effect right before he banned pointy ones. His statement makes it glaringly obvious that he has never done a days work in his life. That or he is lying and doesn’t really believe what he is saying. Made me think about how I actually miss mine constantly if I don’t have one with me. I whip out my knife several times each day for a sundry of reason and none of them have ever been to harm another for over half a century. I have even been guilty of turning around and going back home to get my knife if I had slipped out the door without it. I do have a truck knife that stays there all of the time but it’s not practical to carry.
Right? I have a Bowie (Mossy Oak) and often use is to slice potatoes or onions. Best use I’ve found for it, is cutting down brush/ weeds. A quick flick of the wrist cuts straight through a woody stalk that a smaller knife would have struggled with. Best $10 I’ve ever spent. (Got it on clearance)
i use my 940 frequently as a door stopper (if ur unsure if you can go back or the door locks) haha but also for emergencies.. a cutting tool can be so helpful.
I use mine to break the plastic on the bottles which sometimes is aggressive to open with your hand. I open bags with them, cut boxes, take the labels off clothing, cut cable... Just the fact you carry a knife is so reassuring that there won't be a task throughout the day that you can't take care of 💪
Is this the video I share with all my co-workers why to carry a knife? Yes...in the kitchen? Where most people have knives already. First 20 were givens. Haha
The main reason I use mine is due to the 1982 Chicago Tylenol poisonings. That's when everything started needing a tool to get out of of the packaging.
This isnt 50 reasons why you should edc carry a knife, this is just 50 uses for a knife. A lot of which are completely pointless and ridiculous. I came to this video looking for uses that i haven't thought of to edc a knife and none of the reasons you listed would be useful for me in public.
TSA, giving a hug, not dropping it on the floor, not worrying about losing it, not worrying about breaking it, not spending the money... Yeah ok, not 50 things.
It just seems as though those who enjoy carrying them mainly do so out of some kind of insecurity and/or peer pressure and make up excuses to have them Unless you work or live in out of the way places, they have no use outside of the home But, I shouldn't expect much from Americans who think going to the local corner shop warrants carrying an anti-tank gin You're all married to those chunks of steel and value your own lives as lesser than your precious guns considering your content with school shootings "To protect the constitution l," is the tiresome refrain you all use like a stuck record Don't bother responding with holier-than-thou remarks and tedious, arrogant quips because I couldn't care less I've heard them all
Oh man George, after seeing u eat that Aloe, my 3 boys 7,5 and 4 yrs old wanted to eat an Aloe leaf. So we got one and filleted it with a buck 119 special - they all spit it out 😂😂
I would carry a knife I just haven’t been able to find one I like and if I do find one, I like it’s usually too expensive. I’m looking for a fixed blade can’t find one because the ones that look like the one I would be willing to carry in small enough or too expensive, unless someone can help me out with a fixed blade
So…. Watched the first 20 reasons and I was like: I’m either in the kitchen for that so there’s no need to edc the knife because I’ve got kitchen knives. Or I can do it with my hands (open a bag of crisps), or why would anyone slice a popcicle to eat it? And with the internet credit I was like: outside the US, at least in the EU, put a picture like that online and risk getting a visit from the police to ask why you’d show of the knife and probably get it confiscated. So again, why would I need a knife with me if I’m not in the kitchen? If anything, a multitool is much more useful. I can use it to fix my bike on the go, open random packages and bottles, fix random broken things around the house, at work, or anywhere really. What can a knife do other than slice things or get you arrested?
I was thinking more along the lines of...SELF DEFENSE. Hack Chop and Stab to save myself and my families lives...Allegedly. But, that is a secondary option to my 2A on my hip. The knife is a back up...
I was told by my wife it's dangerous to carry a knife everywhere, now i have a pocket knife she's asking me if i'm bringing it everywhere. 😂 Need a new knife too coz mine's a lil bit dull
I get it, but it is kinda sad that you gotta make a video explaining to people why a cutting tool would be useful to carry with you. It's not like we have thousands of years of human history to prove it.
Never, ever stick a knife in or near your mouth, like he did a few times in this video. You can hurt yourself, perhaps to the point of going to the Emergency Room. Always give the blade enough safe distance.
Because opening a bag of chips with my 9mm would probably gather some unwanted attention.
AHAHAHHA
Use a silencer 😅.
This almost turned into food network

I use rope at gigs to tie stuff down. Nothing more annoying than using a multi tool to cut lol.
It's easier to have them repaired

I only have about 20 and my wife wonders the same thing!😂

I’ll be honest I just use em to cut cardboard, open packages, open bags……and that’s about it 90% of the time
There's always some pitiful wannabe thug who carries one with them everywhere
Reasons why you should carry a knife, abridged version: Things need cutting or stabbing, a knife is the best tool for that.
Haha food prep can't be 50 reasons alone!

+1 shortening drink straws. Only parents know
