BRILLIANT way to show where these muscles are, how they function and where they insert. WOW. You explained everything that is happening with me, and how and why it has been progressing for months now. You have equipped me so that when I engage with my doctors, we will all be able to get on the same page. While this may be a common condition, it is under recognized and thus, . Consequently, there is undue suffering, long periods of debility and precious medical dollars being wasted. Thank you!
You could also search for treatment videos and even ones that will help you diagnose the problem. Ofcourse nothing beats professional medical diagnosis and treatment, but it could give you a head start. Or in the least help the medical professionals get a better diagnosis. They do use different methods to treat the same problem, sometimes they work sometimes the treatment needs to be adjusted....
Ive had occasional extreme pain in that place just. under the diaphragm for years. No ED. ever even raised the issue of a lymph node just there. This video has been fascinating
There are many physical exercise therapies that could resolve that issue. Best thing to do is consult a physician about it, and if that's not possible there are many videos that would help you self diagnose, or at least get an idea. Ofcourse there's nothing better than having x-rays and MRI being done. Sometimes the problem is just a matter of the type of physical activity lifestyle. Altering it or making changes to it could easily solve the problem...
I'm a 40yo hockey player, usually my glutes will be tight after games but I've had a couple times where this was the issue, I was having pain and trouble waking, work on this fixed the issue.
There’s no question about it that it can be tricky to work on but for people like me that have the Anterior Pelvic Tilt working on the Iliopsoas really does make a difference. But apart from that when would you need to massage the Iliopsoas? What are the key words or phrases that a massage therapist would need to look for in order to get the Iliopsoas worked on?
You would need to look for a masseur who works alongside a physical therapist doctor, or kinesiologist/ osteopath. There are very few massage therapist today that dedicate themselves to more complex medical issues.
Just a quick observation. I have a messed up hip (flexors, extensors, adductors, abductors, all of this). My iliopsoas is very weak likely due to various things but I also have degenerative osteoarthritis (same side as the wonky muscles). So, I can tell you that when my iliopsoas is tight, which it always is, it shortens and the resulting tightness causes me to bend forward at the hip (yes, I stretch and do strength exercises, but thank you for thinking of me). This position alone is problematic but I just want to say, it sucks and great video. Also, from personal experience when you are desperate because of the pain you try to do self-massage and messing with those inguinal lymph nodes, unintentionally, can cause enormous pain. Also, there are the femoral artery and nerve that you should be aware of.
Stop looking for other ways to avoid the necessary and lose the fear of going under the knife.....I personally had the procedure done on myself and it was not only painless but I was out and about in an hour. With a recovery period of less than three days. Also no big scars either, and the minute incisions that were made disappear in a year. Trust me, you are hardly going to feel anything at all. They use laparoscopy nowadays its super quick and you are done in an hour.
Why is position not accurate, but much higher up? ( As mentioned last comment.) I believe this will serve to confuse viewers wishing to learn. I am sorry our sociocultural sensibility is such that you fear viewers will be uncomfortable with the exact location being painted on front of female model. I suspect this is reason for inaccurate representation of human anatomy.
Seriously! That’s what you need to complain about! It’s pretty accurate as the leg bone is higher and if you are not into anatomy or a body worker then I can see you can get confused but any person with some anatomy knowledge can understand the interpretation. 🎉🎉🎉 they are fantastic videos! Thank you 🙏🏽 😊
@@margarita-bennett. Good answer, but it is also true some of what he's saying. There are social cultural sensibilities that must be adhere to, in order to avoid censorship or viewer restrictions. What is ironic is, that there are cultural sensibilities on some things and yet none at all in others. Kind of hypocritical don't you think?
Why not use a picture (s) from The Anatomy Coloring Book? The painting is way too high on the body and distorts the anatomy greatly. I understand that much of this would have to be painted acurately, by painting lower on the body, and the garments are in the way, but why not use another method for the sake of an acurate representation? I agree totally that these are crucial things and very often misunderstood by even professionals, teachers, etc. I was into Trigger Point Myotherapy back in 82 and kept with it for a long time. So, I am not shooting from the hip here. Your channel is great and your work very kind and compassionate. So, don't take this as a cold criticism....it truly isn't. I just think using another method to show the anatomy in right persepective would be a better approach. You are doing a great job...not running you down!!! Just saying...... : )
Body worker, body painter, body butter creator...you are multi talented. Thx for sharing this wonderful video.
You're such an inspiration! I'm halfway through massage school and your videos have helped me IMMENSELY ! Thank you for your work 🖤🔥👌🙌

Can you use massage to push the scarpa and transversalis fascias over the superficial ring of the inguinal canal to help a hernia close up?

Well I learned a lot.
Why am I watching this?

Either because you like anatomy or you like painting. Ofcourse there's always the case of you being a person of culture....ahem!
Could you do a video about the inner foot? I have pain along the inside of my foot, from the ball of the big toe to the inner heel.
