As a Texans fan if the colts weren’t in the Texans division they would be my 2nd favorite team but I’m forced to hate them

I like Alec Pierce. You have to have dept in case of injury. You guys are right there is going to be passes to go around.

I was one of those people that made the Hot take of AR taking an MVP type leap if healthy. While I certainly wouldn’t put money down for him to win MVP, I do think he has that high of a ceiling this year. This might be the most talented offense that we have had since the manning era. A top 5 Oline, a Top 5 Runninf back. Pittman was a top 15 wideout last year plus Downs, AD, and AP are all extremely talented young guys. Our tight ends could be good. Jelani has sky high potential plus the receiving threat of guys like grandson and Mallory. Maybe the best advantage this team has is the great offensive mind of Steichen. He can definitely scheme ways for AR to make plays.
A major reason why I could see Richardson be a fringe MVP candidate is because of his dual threat ability. AR is young and inexperienced, he I’ll probably rely on his running ability. A major factor in the MVP race is about how electrifying a player is. This offense could be a fireworks show which will bring a lot of media attention which will push Richardson into the spotlight. We saw it with Lamar his second season. An elite athletic dual threat quarterback with a great offensive minded head coach.
It is also worth noting that there have been lots of stories of Richardson being willing to put in work and ask questions to coaches to get better. Even though he was hurt last year, he still got to study the offense. Hr has a year of experience in the NFL and better understands what is expected of him now He should have a better understanding of how things work. That drive and character makes me think he will work relentlessly to be the best he can. He doesn’t want to let his teammates or coaches down and will work hard for that reason.
Like I said,I think this is his ceiling. Only if he stays healthy and if the players around him play to their potential. A more realistic prediction would probably out Richardson 11-16 type range, but I definitely think it is possible for AR to make that type of leap.

I agree that we need to temper our enthusiasm. He needs to be a VP (Valuable Player) before we even think about MVP. Pump your brakes and cruise a little.

Alec pierce is not that different than Adonai Mitchell. Both are sub 4.4 burners and can stretch the field. Pierce is grossly underrated and will end up punking his naysayers

You guys harp on AR injury too much. I see why you guys don’t want real fans on the channel because yall like to only paint yall narrative. The colts has the most boring podcasters ever. I’m about to create a channel for the fans and not just what I think.

Look Alex is a good WR he stays healthy u can't blame him for Matt Ryan's arm an Minshews arm u can see in practice an in games he is a deep threat an every WR has drops everyone so I don't see him dropping every catch he'll he basically won that Tittans game iam rouitin for him lets go Colts Nation

    1. I think Pierce will either level up his contribution to the team or be surpassed. The opportunity is there.
    2. Secondary is closer to the bottom. That needs to improve. Waiting to see on that.
    3. Richardson needs to get a full season in and show that he improves game to game. That's all that I expect from him. The rest is gravy. Also is 'next year' 2024 or 2025? 🤣
    4. Is AR injury prone? I think he came in excited to play and loves to run and does it to beat the defender. The NFL defenders were a lot smarter, faster and they will hurt you in an open tackle with extra pepper. The season ending injury a bit of a bad break. He commented in this off season that he learned from season 1 and will make adjustments. Which tells me he knows what is on the other side of the field and respects it more. He will make wiser choices. Does he get hurt easily? Not enough of a sample to determine that 'made of glass' comment.

Has he ever completed a full season since high school? He wasn't on radars until the combine. I hope he can stay healthy, but it is a legit question. Then if he can stay healthy can he throw accurate enough for the NFL. There will be games where they will have to rely on his arm over his run ability (ask Lamar fans)

Richardson injured himself though was a bad idea to fall on that turf like that AR isn't injury prone and his place showed good traits which is what ppl should be watching Colts were giving him snaps he's young they ran read options..But I can see the concern he's big and goes limp before being hit he needs to hit out slide or try and break the tackle with his body JT will be taking most of the hard hits this year I think we shouldn't worry AD needs to be at 2nd not AP

The only thing that scares me about AR is that he reported injuries to the medical staff that some players wouldn't have... he might not be injury prone, but he might be soft... he had to be put to sleep for a tattoo... I've been getting tattoos since I was 12, and the pain is part of the experience... the pain from the tattoo makes it more meaningful... hopefully, he's not just a soft man when it comes to pain... he has the potential to be a top QB, but he's going to have to man up for it to happen... he got up slow after after a bunch of rutene knockdowns last season, and it just worries me...

AP not a threat so teams are not worrying about him .
