I've been learning Python and tkinter for a few weeks now and since stumbling across your videos I've come to appreciate both tkinter and qt far beyond what's generally published on yt. So many with sometimes lengthy videos which are helpful but lack the breadth of understanding that you convey so clearly and without fanfare of fuss. Not only the breadth of knowledge you share but the depth also. I can only guess at this point, but I suspect that you book is well worth the investment. Thank you Mr Moore.

Even though your very informative video makes TKinter widgets that are even uglier than they come by default--for illustration's sake--it strikes me that if I follow enough of your exposition, I might be able to come up with a TKinter form that is almost pleasant to the eye. Funny you should mention "Motif". The first time I created a TKinter form on Ubuntu (maybe last week) that's exactly what I thought. Somehow the gui designer from VB 5 snuck over to the Unix side, ruined Motif and then infiltrated TKinter. There's always some clever cross-platform programmer ready to ruin it for everybody. Thanks and blessings for another great presentation.

I've never used the simple Tkinter widgets, they are VERY ugly.
