I'm not sure I'd say Dijak is a good promo. He's decent. But he never really had a standout character if I'm being honest. Being good in the ring isn't enough in WWE. Hell, the most captivating parts of the show recently weren't in the ring and that's just true of wrestling in general. Character is King. Considering all the younger talent they have coming up, I'm not surprised they didn't want to keep him. Right now he'd be taking up the midcard spots for younger performers they see as pontential main eventers in a few years.
His best gimmick was being Keith Lee’s best opponent. That’s shows you the issue. He never felt like he added any of himself to any gimmick. I don’t mean that is if I know him I mean it as he always came off as the exact character they gave him on a piece of paper
Seeing Pentagon Jr in Lucha Underground is what got me back into wrestling. Both the Lucha Bros are my favorites. But AEW hasn't done much in terms of crazy stories like Lucha Underground did. Wonder what stories WWE would do with him.

Penta in WWE is exciting, but scary. I understand the sentiment that he's already gone as far as he'll likely be able to in AEW, so why not move on? I can respect that. But I'd have to think he'd have an even lower ceiling in WWE than what he's had in AEW. Like what would they even have him do? Stand quietly in the background for Rey Mysterio's backstage segments? Stand quietly in the background for Santos Escobar's backstage segments? Maybe if he's really lucky, stand quietly in the background for Damien Priest's backstage segments?

It's a good thing that the wrestlers have the ability to try out different promotions. Fans who only watch one promotion are now able to get to know many different wrestlers with many different wrestlers styles.

Considering he's never been even a midcarder on the mid roster, yes it is. You can't take someone with no history in the main event and no significant charisma and make them a star worth investing in when you've got a glut of much younger talent that has it.

He might be a bit old to get featured in a meaningful spot outside a faction but Penta is sick and would be served well to do the more slow and safe wwe style. See Nakamura
Every wrestler regardless of company needs to learn to enter free agency regardless of wether you want to stay or not. It gives you negotiating power and will always raise your price. I don’t think penta will leave, but he’s being smart by playing the field.
For being 39, Pentagon seems to do well at avoiding injury. Even Rey has been injured several times while Pentagon soldiered on. Dude really has the best ring gear in the business.

MSG can hold 20k+ for wrestling depending on the configuration but I don't think WWE has maxed that in a long time.

What is this contract tampering? WWE (or anyone) doesn't have to follow other companies' contracts. People can talk to whoever they want. Only the guy who signed the contract is at fault. So, how is it tampering if it's his contract? Isn't it just contract breaking at that point?
Contract tampering happens in pro sports because the teams are part of the same league that has rules against it, which all involved have agreed to.

I don't know what Ray Fenix will be doing next & I'm not saying Pentagon should go to WWE, but I do think the Lucha Bros or at least Pentagon is better off leaving AEW & if he does go to WWE, then it does open up new challenges for him.
I'd like to see Penta pushed as a singles star, like I think he could do great as a world champion. But you gotta commit.

Disagree completely. I don't think anything about penta screams wwe. And I don't mean that we a negative. His style and presentation much better suit aew and tna. Nxt gold and black would have suited him massively well.

Too old to back to NXT as a reclaimation project... You already did that once and he was absolutely crushing it.
You then called him up and did dick all with him. The HHH regime may be better, but it's clearly not perfect. Makes no sense he wasn't even given a shot after the call up.

Dijak is awesome. Regularly had the best match of the night on nxt tv and PLEs. Wwe dropped the ball with him.
Matches aren't everything, especially in WWE. They value character work far more highly. How often did he have the best promo or segment of the night? Because that's what they value more. There are plenty of people that can have good matches, which get enhanced by storyline.
Just think of it this way, how many people that have great matches and seemed to have potential have left and not really done anything? Nick Nemeth, Miro, Malakai Black, you get the point.

Only thing with Penta is his English. WWE is promo land and he doesn’t exactly speak much. Maybe they do a subtitle thing they have done in the HHH era but i see him as an AEW guy with his brother until he’s done in the states.

WWE has not really done that great a job with the AEW talent. Cody was already established and Jade had a great buzz around her. Penta would end up like Andrade in WWE unfortunately.

He's too old and not good enough at character work to be worth investing in. He's never even been a midcarder, so to build him up they'd need to put him in the midcard to take up spots that they have a glut of younger talent to fill. So yes he is too old based on the current roster to fit into what they want to do.

I won't say it is a sinking ship. AEW has its ups and downs, same with WWE.
All promotions have their ups and downs when they are in their formative years. WWE is old enough to be AEW's grandfather. I started watching back when WWE was actually the WWWF. Why does anyone even listen to Meltzer?
@@donnahacker618 I also remember the WWWF and I first started watching in 1980 with an independent that was on a local TV station. I remember the feud between Kaufman and Lawler. I remember the Monday Night Wars. And yes, AEW is definitely in trouble. And the one thing neither of us have seen is a an extended WWE run in a post McMahon era.
@@easter_sunday I remember all of that too. Growing up we watched wrestling on Saturdays. Bruno Sammartino was the guy back then. As an senior, I enjoy watching quite a few promotions.
