Best decision of his life. If they have counterintelligence in the Marines you should mention that to him to do. It's the future and he will be set up with six figure jobs immediately. As long as he has a clean record and can get Top Secret clearance.
If he felt like he needed it then he definitely needed it. When I was 17 I knew I needed it. I wasn’t a troubled kid but I lived in a bad neighborhood so I knew I had to leave. I love Bart in this episode, he’s definitely become a man reminiscent of a man of times long past, like the nineteenth century. No air of meekness, manipulation or modern pseudo-masculine conformity. He really says what he thinks, and has learned from his questioning of things, and has become much more wise and slower to respond. When people tried to soft-cancel him for actions that he had learned from, and were never intentionally malicious, he was mature about it, but not sheepish. Frankly, despite what some on TH-cam may think of him, we should look up to him as an idea of what a real man is like, and what they were like many centuries ago.
