Could listen to him sing "there's no way to forget it all" a thousand times.
my favorite part of the song, don't know why.
That kind of thing happens to me a lot, I have a collection of "moments" in songs that I could listen again and again forever.
@Logger: I think I see what you did there. ;)
Truth
The unheralded stars of this song are the bass line and that cascading synth riff. Killer!
May the bassist here, Bram Inscore, rest in peace 💔
Simply brilliant. So much good music out there today. I'm so tired of other people in my demographic complaining about the music industry nowadays; how our generation had it better. Such bs. You just need to know where to look. I'm 38 btw. Good music very much alive and kicking.
11 years later and your statement still stands
dude, we're living in the 80's.....
rob1233212006 Problem?
How am I only just discovering this track! Fantastic
THe bass line is an absolute killer - great music guys.
Loving this song, one my happy songs.
His vocals sound way better live.
This is so good... back in the 80's when life was smooth ! They are really great in live, they are only 4 but they rock !!!
These guys are incredibly tight as a band. Fantastic song!
2021 still amazing
Man this is amazing.
one time i walked to la sala rossa to see this band and the show was sold out... anyways no surprise this was sold out - listening in quarantine
God! I loved this song a couple years ago. It still kicks asssssss
he has such a great voice.
So pure..
One of my all time favorite songs
Just discovered the awesome band!! Really digging their vibe
this guys is amazing!
the smiths meets aha and it's greatttt
this really got its hooks into me and im loving it!
Very GOOD!!! From Uruguay, South America,
Omg I totally thought of Jimi Hendrix right away as well!!! You're his voice and playing of the guitar are just amazing..yeah pretty reminiscent of Jimi :)
this song only took five seconds to get into my heart ;p
If I was a drummer I would also have the same facial expression - the dude! Brilliant track.
I have watched this video more times then people could like this
This song is awesome!
This is so badass awesome. Nuff said.
Uauhh...Cool
even though its obvious 80's retro, this song sounds so new and fresh, it only takes about 5 seconds of hearing it to know its a bonified hit
yeah i totaly love guitar playing
i cant say how much i love this performance, its like i dont know, and his guitar solo is completly crazy fucking crazy like jimmy hendrix
Here in 2024!
I feel the energy!! :)
luv luv love!
WELL DONE!
love it!
those synths & dudes' chorus pedal sound so good ohhh maaaang
Bram Inscore is the bassist. *flies away.
i need a synthesizer now
TE AMO
great!
Im in love. fucking hell.
Great beat, uplifting, nice crunchy chorus chops. At 2:50 needs some background lead type synth fill.
damn! both of their NYC shows this week are sold out, waaaaah!
Who does it? Or what is he doing? A hammer on, I believe, he strikes the note with his index finger a little hard with his left hand so it sounds and he can play the synthesizer with his right hand.
Top!
Sounds like the Cure......Awesome
give future islands a try. they are awesome as well.
His voice sounds a lot like Tom Smith, the singer of The Editors
I also recognized it from a Sufjan Stevens video, and was able to identify the model from there...
Peter gabriel all the way. The vocals are identical on some songs, along with the percussion and synth effects. I think it';s brilliant that this style of music is making a come back.
Buena rola
weird- i think on the recording the parts the bassist is playing was recorded on a synth-
this is a cool way of making the track replicable live.
top gun baby!
Anyone got the bass tabs for this?
Could listen t that "I don't believe in you..." part until the sun goes supernova.
fuck yeahhhhhhhhhh
Where's Alejandro? :(
Where can i find his hat?
That rickenbarker though
Can somebody indentify the yellow synth?
Its weird but every song they play live sounds better than the albums/line. Powerful shit xD
the yellow synth is Dave Smiths Mopho, I personally think it sucks, haha, but the Prophet they're playing is dope
Who is this Bassist? wheres the other guy
does someone knows the bassist name?
What happened to the other bassist?
:(
this has much more "acceleration" than the cure
I´d like to share a thoughtful and well written comment that will add to the discussion of this song and video. It goes like this:
FK YEAAAAAHH...HAhahaaaarhHHAHAH!!!!
isn't that my exact argument?
the drummer needs a more powerful snare sound on this song but this performance is still awesome
2 things are true
you have not the right ear for the guitar
you have not the right eye for the guitar
singer is tight
yeah i think its a good synth for a decent price..its only like 600 i think
lenny kravitz on lead vocals everybody
bass line
the whole point of indie, was alternative, was college rock was to promote a counter culture that avoided the cliches of popular music. I guess indie finally sold out too, hey?
but thats alright that comes with experience
You know I read on a comment on another video of this song that said : eh or meh.
I advise to check it out and thumbs down that teddy boy
joy division childrens
still sounds like the cure though
Totes looks like weeknd
i don't hear any joy division in this
id say more of a modern day prince
It is total Joy Division! Are you kidding?
could be from the 80s
The cure? Are you guys deaf??
haha just listen to it! Its totaly crazy.. just let your feelings explode with it... this is not normal anymore... this is no "elementary guitar" this is totaly fucking crazy you can even see on the video how he goes crazy.
And now stop busting this foutain of ideas and creativity with your dull technical terms else my relationship to you will be terminated. LOL
i liked them better when robert smith was the vocalist.
this elementary guitar 'soloing' has no relationship to hendrix.
apparently, that's Beck's old bassist. the old bass player moved on to his own thing. #downgrade
Rather Nazi of you, sir.
how is this hilarious? just wondering
