Update: I’ve had the mini Praxis for a few days now. The design and size are perfect for an EDC but the steel sucks. I was hesitant to get another Chinese D2 knife because the other one I have (Seacut) sucks too, neither will hold an edge. I kept reading that Civivi does D2 well so I pulled the trigger on the Praxis and luckily it was inexpensive because it certainly isn’t worth more than the $26 I paid for it. Maybe I just got unlucky and got the 5:00 on Friday heat-treat batch, but it’s enough to put me off for good on Chinese D2 and probably Civivi as well. I put on a 25* per side edge and finished it to shaving sharp, after 6 cuts on a cereal box it would no longer shave hair… that’s pretty bad in my opinion. I’d have to sharpen this knife after every couple uses to keep it sharp. I can get a similar size EDC in M390 for 3 to 4 times more money but only need to sharpen a few times per year.
I have both the mini praxis and elementum 2 and the elementum is superior in many ways. It has better steel and I like that it has both the button lock and the flipper. The mini praxis is a good knife but I especially dislike how the liner lock if placed so recessed in the handle.
You should check out "Cedric & Ada"'s channel here on TH-cam. He has done extensive testing on various knife steels, including 9CR. I think you'll find the results surprising and may change your opinion on 9CR.
Try preparing before recording a knife review with “dead air” while you boot up your laptop and and then meander through your narration, maybe some 3 x 5 cards with bullet point outline would help.
@@CNYKnifeNut He's right though. With so much available content on YT, if you want to stand out and have success with your channel you can't be wasting people's time. Prepare your talking points in advance, do a few practice runs and then present them in a clear, concise manner. Back on topic, I got the black G10 w/ satin blade on Dec 30th at my local knife store then when I got home I received an email notification that another store had this OD Green w/ black blade back in stock and immediately ordered one. Great little knives and you can't go wrong at the price point. It reminds me a lot of my Ferrum Forge x Massdrop collaboration called the Gent. Very similar design but with Carbon Fibre scales and an S35VN blade. My only criticism of my 1st gen Gent is that it has a sub-standard pocket clip which is very prone to bending.

I sent it back to Civivi for testing, possibly a QC issue that slipped through.
I just ordered one for $26 with free shipping. If it’s a decent knife it’s a steal.
