I gotta say, your videos are getting much better. Keep it up!
Thank you for another great comparison my friend. Top job 👏👏
The Filmaker mode may not be the best choice for achieving optimal picture quality. Quantum TV settings, particularly those found on the S90 model, offer superior performance. While LG's processing capabilities are generally well-regarded, the cost of these televisions may be considered excessive.
Can confirm that his settings for the S90D are vastly superior. I am using them myself along with a few minor adjustments for my own taste, and it makes the tv sing. The G4 is brighter, but besides that QD OLED color and clarity blows it out of the water.....in this case for half the price. Filmmaker mode is honestly terrible by comparison to movie mode on the S90D.
@Whitewolf_1186 The TV shootouts are very much gonna put G4 at the top than the S90D. I seen both side by side. G4 is the better picture out of the two.
Great comparison thank you
@kevspirit1848. Hey thank you so much for your kind words. It truly means allot. Hope to see you more often in the comments in my future video's
Great comparison videos! I currently have a 65" Samsung s95b but looking to upgrade to a larger 75-77 in ... I'll admit. I do miss the brightness of LEDs. So I'm considering the Sony Bravia 9 right along with the Samsung s90D... I fear I'll miss the perfect contrast and blacks of OLED technology though haha
Yes you will, I tried going back to led. It’s never the same. Lost of contrast and gray blacks 😂
Wait for next year Samsung will do better processing because nothing can beat QD-OLED ! I didn't think it is worth it to get a new TV this year. S95b still a great TV and the new update makes it so good
@@beammeupscottsp7952 I knowww. Both my previous Vizio quantum X and TCL 6(2021) had horrible blooming
S90D will be about a 30% improvement in brightness while mini LEDs can easily provide double the brightness of your S95B. Some models like QM8 go as far as triple the brightness…
But I’ve found a darker room with OLED be a better movie experience than a brighter LED if your eyes are used to an OLED. The blooming will be noticeable on almost all LEDs.
24:10 That is a great scene ogcod, to show the differences between the two panel technologies. One might think the pencils on the G4 look great and colorful, untill you see the colors on the S90D, especially the pencil groupings on the left side, the pinks, the (light)blues and the turquoise's, colors probably you have never seen on a "normal" oled, or even knew existed.
@Kivancli79. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. And thank you for the kind words. Yea the s90d is pretty magical.
Thanks for this video. Let's do the G4 vs S95D..
Good video. Im going back to sony this year. I can’t wait to unveil it.
@AlteredVisionTV. what's up? Nice to hear from you again. Olay so.Sony for you huh? Nice. You better lmk what you think when you get it all set up. Please.dont forget about me. Thank you as always
@@consumerreview2k i got ya man. What is your favorite set now? I see you have pretty much all of them. Right now the Sony 98 inch X90L is looking to be my next set. I don’t buy any small sets any longer. Im only interested in 100 or 98 inch sets moving forward for gaming and home theater. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot for these comparisons! Great job! If it was for the same price (3300 usd for 65' g4 and s90d here) what would you choose for movies - g4 or s90d?
Please talk about 24p motion
r u gonna review the c4? and if u akready seen it how does it stack to these tv
u shluld do a c4 vs g4 review
This guy is like the only one that understands how LG oleds have next level 3d pop compared to the other brands. Once you own all three you’ll see LG’s magic sauce 😎
@@beammeupscottsp7952. Hey nice to hear from you again as always. Yea its an important factor to me for sure. I think that might be why I notice it so much lol
@@FenixPajarito it’s obvious you don’t own multiple sets if you can’t see the difference, your loss not ours 🤷🏾♂️
ogcod the up in coming goat tv reviewer
Watched them both in Best Buy. LG slightly brighter in white, while Samsung brighter with all colors.
Colors looked amazing on Samsung and good on LG.
Samsung looked better despite being cheaper. The processing is better on LG but most untrained eyes value color volume and brightness over better processing. It’s the Samsung for me!
Hi Ogcod i hope you doing great, sorry i didn't follow you as before recently sorry, i was so busy.
The difference in image quality between s90d and s95d is big this year.
This year, TV recommends g4 and s95d.
You can work magic with the S90D with the right calibration. It's not as drastically different as a lot of these youtube 'professionals' will have you believe. Most of the comparisons are done using the out of box settings, which is not an accurate representation of what each individual set can do at all. I have the S90D, and it's AMAZING for what you pay for it. Of course it's not perfect, but no TV ever is. It's damn close though, and makes spending an extra $1-1.5k on the flagship models a bit senseless, unless you have the money and want top of the line no matter what.
I don't care so much about the colors, they all work fine, I'm curious which one represents white best. I think it's more important.
I use the g4 for pc, its unbelievable
Its not too big?i have the c3 oled but 48 inch i want to upgrade i am affraid that 55 inch is too big
@viktorfeherps5gameplays681 i have 2 desks. One for the tv and a little one 3 metres from it for keyboard and mouse. If you can accommodate a large viewing distance its well worth it. Monitors suck ass in comparison
i don't get the obsession with every tv reviewer intentionally nerfing a tv's capability and setting it to filmmaker mode to do comparisons...
it theoretically makes things equal, but yes it does take away all the processing that makes each tv unique in the first place. Plus subjectively it's the most washed out, lacking clarity and lacking color compared to other modes.
I bought the Bravia 9 after my TCL QM8 failed. I'm already regretting payong that Sony tax. Every year the AV Community overhypes Sony. When you watch the reviews it aounds like they are reading Sony's marketing script "Brightness with a Purpose" and no one is talking about how Sony lied about the TV getting to 4,000 Nits. With that said, I'm hoping it's good. All I'm asking for is no blooming, crashing and a clean panel. Why is it so hard to find a tv that meets those simple requirements. Problem with my S90c is I just think the picture is really flat, does a lousy job upscaling and on low bit rate content. And for some reason it got dim in the last few months.
@MichelleAlexandria-EM. Hey nice to hear from you again. Wow what happened to your TCL?
@@consumerreview2k horrible vertical banding, that make some things "impossible" to watch as you can see white thin lines across the entire picture.
@@consumerreview2k yeah, disappointing because otherwise I would have kept this TV. I liked the picture quality and it ticked all the boxes, especially for the price. But upscaling on it is kind of terrible. It doesn't do a good job cleaning up low bitrate content.
@MichelleAlexandria-EM Sorry to hear that. And the bravia 9, how os it treating you so far? Hopefully good
And where is the BT.2020 color space test comparison?
th-cam.com/video/7aIoQd_mKFs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=88fuDolblgTgPiWg
Please consider adding this to your comparison in the future. It might be an eye opener
Is the S90D is using 3rd gen QD panel or is that exclusively reserved for S95D? And what’s the difference between S90C vs S90D if both use 2nd gen QD panels. 🤔
It is 2nd gen and a bit brighter but not much. Not really worth the price if you want to buy now.
IM getting the Lg g4 with a Bose soundbar ULTRA with in the next two weeks. IM EXITED
@tahkhan5176. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. I like those bise systems. I want to get one one day. Nice combo. Please lmk how you like the tv when you get it.
sony maneja muy bien el detalle y los detalles , g4 lo iguala?
i think lg applies equivalent of sharpening on content thats why it looks sharper
Man would you buy the 77 S90C or 77 C4 for the same price?
@gangs0846 Hey, thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Man, that's a really good question. I think for gaming, probably the s90c. But for overall 50 50 use. The c4. Only because I think the outside of game mode the c4 might have better overall upscaling low bit rate content overall better processing.
the journey is not over, ogcod still needs to buy a bravia 9 85 inch
I'd love a comparison to the Bravia 9 but don't think that's gonna happen haha
@ubuu7. Hey, thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Means allot to me. Oh man, I was thinking about it, but although I like mini led tech, I feel like you might as well just go with oled when they are the same price point. And this is respectfully a humble opinion here. Mini led tech to.me.is a tech that intentionally tries to compete with oled tech by attempting to achieve infinite like contrast and hence why they are always increasing their dimming zones. And it is supposed to be a less expensive tech while doing so. But the bravia 9 yes is a nice tv. My opinion there is at that price point just get a a qd oled. It's a more superior tech and just as bright. I think that if going to buy a mini led tv, then you should go with size and lower price point like a hisense or tcl. If you're considering a bravia 9, then just go with a qd oled cause you're at that price point anyway.
@@consumerreview2k, Hey , Just To Ask You, Did Say For You, That The LG g4 Is The TV Overall This Year????
I think it has a really good chance to be the tv of the year but we will see. The S95D is looking really good to many professionals too
Bravia 9 has no freesync support nor 4k 144hz I'm a amd pc gamer it's a no go 4 me
I have the g4, but for ps5 and Xbox is the s90d better or is it the same ?
the G4 is good enough. u are splitting hairs at this point. stop the fomo and be happy with ur purchase.
Hey buddy is the Samsung S95D really brighter than the LG G4? Ive been hearing this a lot lately. I know one thing my 2022 S95B is bright as hell😊
@michaelwyckoff7593 Hey nice to hear from you again. I think when measured the G4 is technically brighter overall but if my understanding is correct the S95D's color brighter is better and highlight brightness is better. But I do not have the S95D personally. Which would probably give you the perception it is brighter.
@@consumerreview2k I still like the G4 for all that it has to offer this year. By the way LG Direct Sales is having a hell of a sale on their OLEDS and other TVS through this weekend. Check it out to see what's up. Have a good July 4th and be safe bro.
s90d 77 3000$
g4 77 4300$
Refering to the actual video, the S90D is the best value TV, however 77" is just too small if we're being honest. G4's a11 Alpha is just too good to lose this year, LG is the sure fire Value Electronics Shootout champion right there, especially when the A95L is not allowed to compete again.
I am hesitating atm. I've the opportunity to get a brand new 55S90C. A Qd-Oled.
It's been 4 years since I received my Sony 55 Xg9505 (XG95) which I'm really happy with. If you feed it with 4k content, it's just superb for a Faled. The upscale with low content is pretty good. With 1080, pretty good but not perfect. Uhd is designed for 4k.
Nintendo Switch on it, forget it. I can't stand it.
Ps4 is better.
Now about the Qd-Oled, I was waiting for the S90D in 55"...
But in Europe, most of the models come with a Lg Woled panel 🙃😔
So the 90C still is a good alternative for a real Qd-Oled...
Now I'm hesitating for many reasons.
I fear that Samsung upscaling software is not decent enough. But it would be soon irrelevant cause Uhd Tv is slowly coming here.
Then Tizen...
Android OS is really good and intuitive.
But what I fear the most, is the lifespan.
I often heard about the pretended "Sony Tax"...
I do not agree with that qualification.
Sure it's more expensive, but if you buy a premium Bravia model, it will last for years.
Samsung offers great products for the money involved. But they are on the podium, 1st place regarding obsolescence.
I think materials inside are not as good as Sony or Panasonic, and the lifespan is shorted because of that. Not cheap one but questionable.
Or is it designed for ???
Planned obsolescence.
I think it is !
Yeah the 3d pop on LG oleds is insane. I had A95k and s90c and they looked flat against the LG.
@beammeupscottsp7952. Hey nice to hear from you again as always. I experienced and still do now the same thing as you. It's impressive how LG has managed to look the best in that regard. Itd very enjoyable. There 3d image processing is awesome
@@consumerreview2k yeah unless you owned both TVs at the same time you wouldn't understand, LG 3d pop is next level.
so pretty much the s90d is the best bang for ur buck that comepetes with g4 and s95d
Is it true LG G4 has a Faulty HDMI 2 alot of reviews are reporting this issue
@IGOTGAMEAJ. Hey, thank you for the comment and for checking out the video. Means more to me than you think. I haven't had that issue but yes I am aware of it.
which better 3d pop, A95l or S90d ?
@laserxlars8056. Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. I would probably give it to the S90D . Particularly in gaming
Any chance you’ll pick a Bravia 9 or mini LED?
Put a profile picture that would be better 🎉
S90D > G4 > S95D > C4
G4 is slaying both Samsung's, the processing of Samsung is just not on LG's or Sony's level.
Does S90D have a HEATSINK?? I believe it doesn't 😮
No it does not but the g4 feels warmer after usage more then the S90D.
Is S90D better than last year’s S95C??
@hastensavoir7782 in terms of connectivity yes. But brightness I don't personally think so at all.
@@hastensavoir7782 I think detail is better on the S95C in game mode personally.

What is this obscene fascination with Filmmaker mode.
A Samsung QD-OLED in Standard mode will blow away every television.
@@chebrubinmy G4 in personalized mode destroy every single tv yea

lg g4 is the better tv. samsung is waiting to destroy your picture quality and motion as soon as you purchase, with their next "new firmware update". with samsung you are one firmware update from a walmart tv
G4 has better picture
