These girls from Laos got goals, life is a competition and I don't blame them for wanting a better life. Regardless if a husband or wife, if they have no goals and not motivated to work towards the future, it's a lost cause. Can't blame these two women for fighting for what they want and grasping opportunities that will better them and their future.

To all my brothers and sisters. It's not everyone says. A relationship doesn't consist 50/50. It really requires 100/100 of both participants.
So depressing, I was in your shoe once before took me 21.5 yrs to walk away from a stressful, depressing marriage. I am happy now with someone who truly loves, cares, and respect me. We both worked hard together then I start seeing money growing in my bank account. When I left my ex husband I walked away with nothing no money on me, my now husband is older than my ex husband but he held 2 full-time jobs worked so hard bought a house, have new cars and we even remodel our house within 3.5 yrs we both accomplished so much more than when I used to be married to my ex husband for 21.5 yrs.

When I was single, I'd dated guys who were about 3 to 5 yrs older than me but they were so lazy and narcissistic like your ex husband. At the end, I found my bf now and he's 10 yrs older, really responsible, and respectful.

Same..no kids too. My ex worked part time in a warehouse but had a degree. Refused to find a full time job. One of the dumbest excuse I heard from him why he did want to apply for a job is that they require him to take a key-count test. Haha. Nope! Bye! I know I want a decent life with a house and car so I need to move on without him. I didn't see a future with an immature person who refused to find a stable job.

It's call life lesson, not every man from the US are perfect do not wait for man to make your life shine you must fight for your own life to be better.
Yes, "Txhua tus pojniam yeej ntshaw nyiaj". So does men. The problem is, men work hard for their money while women, not all but most, want men to give them money for free. But women behaves this way because of men. Men keep giving women money to get women to like men. So now, women expect money from men. Men still marry women who are dirt poor but no women want a poor man.

I don’t get it! He never worked but how come he was able to married overseas 2X and bring them here! My understanding is that you have to have a steady job and some money in the bank in order to bring someone here! They checked IRS taxes for 3 consecutive years before they approved the process!

It can be done, when they have a goal, the can pursue. Then be a bum again. I saw it with my own eyes, plus there are stupid relatives that help. I'm just speaking on be half of my own dad and uncle's....
Yeah, I think it's exaggerated to justify her excuse for dumping a guy who's down on his luck. I'm sure he has a job during the years he petitioned for her to come to the US. All you need is a minimum of $22,000 in gross income -- that's equivalent to $12/hr -- during the 1-2 years you filed the petition then can quit. But you don't need a job to bring your fiance/wife into the US. There are other ways. You can have someone else, like a family member or relative, be co-sponsor, you can use assets instead of income (a lot of Hmong has no job but a lot of assets, especially those growing marijuana). Lots of Hmong Americans in their 60s and 70s has gotten their Hmong Lao teen wives into the US... not just 1 but multiple wives one after the other, even when they're still married because they fake their divorces (a divorce only on paper) so they have 2, 3 even 4 wives... and Hmong Lao are more than happy to be a 2nd, 3rd or 10th wife to a Hmong American as long as he pays them a $5k - $10k bride price, buy them land, house, rice paddies, cars, mopeds, send them money monthly, and get her into the US.

@@thao0218 yes…she mentioned the 10,000 but I’m referring to when doing paperwork to get a significant other there they look at your income, employment, and bank account to see if you have money to support them when they get here

I respect your opinion in preferring an older man versus a younger one that they are more prone to work for a living. But remember my fellow Hmongs, that in life, we always want what we don’t have. We have listened to many of these stories that the woman leaves because all the man knows is to work only and not enough love in the sheets. Just remember to take your time to see if each one is compatible with each other. If you prefer a man that works or stays home to bed you only. That goes for men too. Scenarios similar to these where these women from over seas are desperate to come to the US and over looks three qualities. Or they are tricked to come here thinking they are going to be living a life of dreams. Why? Because of the distance between each other, the one in USA is only selling them a dream. Anyone can tell you a dream or fairytale. There is no quality time spent to really know each other. Good luck in love everyone and choosing what’s right for you. No one wants a life that goes wrong but it can be prevented if we really stop putting our greed or obsessions first and get to know each other.
