@@AquaticSkipper Looking at the IGLs of the 5 teams currently ranked above G2 Aleksi and Karrigan are the only ones who have put up close to his numbers in the past 6 months. Apex chopper and Shuiy all clear him with around 1.0 ratings. In the top 15 there are 4 IGLs that put up Hooxi numbers and those are Hooxi, Karrigan, Aleksi, and Snappi. I agree that there's no obvious replacement but that shouldn't mean G2 shouldn't try.
@AahSol He doesn't have enough talent to play anywhere he thinks he should which is the entire point. He wasn't even good enough for NA's 2nd best team which in all reality is probably a tier 1.5 team.
Richard I’m a fan of how you interviewed Jason Lake and worked the desk at PGL you were straightforward about recycling BR players. Jks is a masterful jiggle peeking Inferno lurker that’s very thorough. He knows timings and leaves no stone unturned. He’s also probably one of the best anchor players on ancient there was making Nexa look like he’s from OG Tier2 His positioning and clutch potential was top tier you always felt he had x-factor that could clutch pivotal rounds against FaZe at Katowice and Cologne groups. A Nuke ramp player like no other. He manufactures clutch rounds High IQ Rain is also 30 and rocking 1.04 yet still considering it he circumstances is the best. Roles and x-factor are niche areas stats and performance productivity can only be seen in game. Graphs w hills valleys troughs don’t work
I'm a big G2, monesy and Niko fan. But they should all go away from G2 at this point. They are just wasting away their talent and I have given up hope Edit: I hope they leave and G2 get Cadian or someone and restart. New blood, new start and leave the shackles from monesy and niko

Feels hard defending JKS when there are so many diehard fans who don’t accept his flaws, but kato was literally 1.24 rated over hunters 1.21. Even with Hunter Niko and monesy contesting with him for space and utility he still managed to put up numbers as an anchor. I really don’t think there would’ve been any issues if they had an actual igl instead of hooxi, he wasn’t fantastic but he was definitely good enough if they weren’t having to drag hooxi kicking and screaming to the wins
at the end of the day they cut nexa who won the trophy and not hooxi who didnt show up at that point who cares that nexa isnt good because hooxie isnt either brother G2 is MONESY AND NIKO and thats it and g2 fans at this point arent g2 fans its monesy fans and niko fans or both

For a moment I was thinking of Electronic as IGL and rifler, but after 2 seconds I realised that's not happening. So you're probably right that it would be another Danish IGL, but I don't think Cadian would be as bad a fit as you think, and if Stewie is right about the "team spirit", then a hype-guy like Cadian would help in that regard too.
“Team spirit” doesn’t come from a ‘hype man’, it comes from someone with social intelligence and the ability to navigate the weird landscape that is an esports org. We are talking about people who have spent majority of their lives in front of a screen. You then take these players and put them in a very social environment and expect a hype man to bring everyone’s personalities out? I don’t have an answer for this problem but I don’t think a hype man is the answer either
cadian a hype guy? maybe hype for crowd, but will he bring good vibes to the team? hes igl and from team liquid we know he also micro manage the team which was why the team didnt wanna listen to him. i dont think niko will like that

I like how he completely downplays winning Katowice and Cologne, two of the biggest trophies on the calendar and events that every single team boot camps and prepares for. It's not like Heroic who won a few Blast events and nothing else, they won Kato and Cologne, there are no caveats.

@14:11 you mention the death of role players I can 100% agree with this! I've played esea leagues since like 2016-17 and I've seen it happen even at a lower level of competition in real time. I once considered myself an entry frag I would watch rush demos old konfig and dupreeh and ofc Fer vods these days when we scrim or even play 5 man's in faceit level 10 we don't use "roles" aside from a central caller. you simply cannot make it in today's cs landscape if u limit yourself to a single role the era of bitch roles died with the covid era and the dawn of the utility era. back when I started it was common to have a single or maybe max 3 ppl depending on the execute who's roles were "stand here throw X smoke" this just simply isn't viable anymore with changes to maps i.e the removal of skyboxes and the ability to execute smokes from virtually anywhere on a map. idk if it's for the better or for the worse that this change has happened but one thing I can say for a fact is that it's raised the minimum bar for entry as a competitor higher than it ever has been.
