Hey dudes! Thanks for reacting to "Will I Run?" and for always being the coolest. Nath isn't as cool as Johnny, though, because he played hooky from our interview. Glad you guys liked the track! Your concerns at the end are definitely valid. I've never claimed to be a perfect singer, and there are a lot of layers on the recording, but that's mostly backing screams and harmonies. We always back track harmonies for the most part, but for a song like this, we would definitely have a someone singing backing vocals to allow me to get better breath support with some of these huge singing parts. With that said, we've never played this song live, so there's going to be a whole lot of practicing, between now and then. But for the most part, I'm never concerned with being perfect. Just putting on a good show.
Nathan, its like you don't realize that in a live setting, not ever vocal harmony is sung or even used as production. Or that maybe live any of the other 3 people up front will sing certain parts (band member and probably 2 touring musicians). Think the old bassist for Northlane. Never recorded any vocals, yet in that Roundhouse concert video, he's mic'd up.
This will definitely be what we do, get someone to help me sing the transition parts, so I can try to not die hitting that high note. Which I probably still will lmfao
