Fortresses and Mustang are two units that just feel very strong right now. Obviously mustangs offer so much with amazing damage, anti-air, anti-chaff, and anti- everything with enough levels. However, I've noticed mass fortresses appearing most games now as well. Shield was always useful, but now with punch they can hard counter close aggression and with anti-air working they can pretty hard counter any air as well. They are both pretty solid anti-everything units these days.
I like how compared to earlier videos of yours, you give more in depth explanations of your thought processes. Now maybe if I watch enough of your videos, I as well will play at 2000 MMR one day :b
Well, that's the MMR level these matches are being played at, so getting to that level is obviously possible. Now, if you're asking about the likelihood of that happening, that's another story entirely 😅@@HolgFromHell
@@TwoGish No, not really. Most of the players above 2000 are the ones which were already there in the early access phase, and got a high start MMR bonus for it. If you now "start from scratch", I assume it is nearly impossible to reach 2000 points or above.
I mean, if you consistently beat players who have a higher MMR than you do, your MMR is going to go up. If the players with very high MMR were basically "given" that MMR, as you're suggesting, they will lose some of it over time as the skill gap between them and newer players shrinks. It's just a matter of time? In that case, perhaps the average MMR would sink as well and maybe an MMR of 2000 would become harder and harder to reach, but it's my understanding that with MMR systems in general, the trend when a game gains players goes more towards "MMR inflation"? So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. @@HolgFromHell
@@HolgFromHellI I started before MMR was introduced and I have in have a bit over 230 games now. My MMR is mid 1700 and in the beginning i was winning a lot, as in ten wins for one loss. Gradually, my win/loss rate equalized around 1800 MMR. Anybody can get at 2k as long as they are good enough.
I wonder if the fang tech on the fortress would have work as well as the range. Also, it would be interesting to see how the punch works vs aggro. As someone else said, the Fortress is definitely in the meta since it can deal with everything on the ground and is decent vs air.

Nice dream! I wonder whether it is possible with the current MMR approach to increase your own MMR to such a value.

That was a fun match to watch. And you are definetly improving in explaining your tactical reasoning. Keep up the good work :)
