100% agree, when you can make Travis Kelce the least annoying and douchy brother then that's a problem. They needed some fat, lovable ex athlete to fill the Michael Strahan void that is depleting.
Missed you last night. You normally help me through the 60 minutes of hell this season. Knew it was going to be a blowout so I don't even think you could have helped! Keep the watch parties going - when we have a chance I love them.
Its pretty obvious that our front office hasn't done much during the off season. Still have the same problems from the past season now compounded with this season. Hate to see it.
It makes perfect sense if you understand Kyle. He wants a guy who is going to stay on schedule and trust the system. Allen has been in the system longer and with other coaches from his tree or tree-adjacent. Dobbs has only had this one offseason so the level of trust isn’t there.
@@indianajim I hear ya man. I still feel like Dobbs based on what he did last year filling in back up roles still gives you a better chance to win. And he still looked better than Allen in preseason That’s what I’m going off.
I used to follow Larry Krueger but to put it kindly I find LK to be a "blowhard." For example before training camp LK was singing the praises of Ricky Pearsall (14). There were other players he was promoting that either did or didn't make the roster. Damon on the other hand prefers to take a wait and see attitude in a game situation before extolling the virtue of certain players. Is LK just a "sock puppet" for the 49er upper management? We don't know! Ricky Pearsall (14) makes one ponder maybe. The unspoken rule in scouting potential players is always draft the best available athlete and a "good big man" is always better than a "good small man." Well what happened when the Niners turn came up to draft. Was Pearsall better than any other large big man at that position? I suspect the Niners selected a small WR to imitate those teams who had success in drafting a smaller WR etc., Rams and New England. Closer examination would show that those teams who drafted or signed a smaller receiver did not make them there number #1 draft choice. In my opinion the selection for Ricky Pearsall (#14) had to be made by upper management. I'm not saying he shouldn't have been drafted but not a number #1,#2 or #3. The same goes for Trey Lance a few years before. It seems to me that management is gambling that these players have a hidden talent that no other team has uncovered. There gambling on the fact that if these somewhat unknown players deliver talent-wise, perhaps when they negotiate a long term contract it will at a "lower" price than if they were highly acclaimed. This was the strategy the late Al Davis of the Raiders used when he created the Raider Dynasty in the 1970's. In summary the Niners just like any business is trying to keep cost down anyway they can.
Damon, I’ve seen a lot of disagreement amongst the Faithful as to what the problem has been this year (offensive line, playcalling, special teams, etc). Is it fair to say that there’s just a lack of unity amongst this group? Is that why it seems as though each unit takes turns messing up? I get that this isn’t necessarily what people want to hear, but as a high school football coach, this just seems indicative of a team that isn’t on the same page.
1:35 just think about that for a second. Out of all the terrible 49er teams in somewhat recent history, last night was apparently the worst loss they’ve against Green Bay ever. Ever. That’s how bad this team is. That really says it all for me. Sobering to say the least.
Found Damon Bruce from a Larry Krueger video, after the video I unsubbed to Larry and subbed to Damon! Damon is a realist and I appreciate that he speaks his mind instead of coddling Kyle’s ego! Love the content, love the way you keep Larry from just spewing biased BS!
I gave up hope two years ago when we lost the first Superbowl with a lead.......................................................Good I hope he fucking walks away.....$14M a year for this product???? Umm no fucking thank you.
- The only good news is that nobody in the division can separate from anyone so there is still a chance to make the playoffs and with Kyle's history, anything can happen at that point. - The bad is that our lack of depth and Kyle's questionable at best situational management were on full display for the fire Kyle crowd. Probably the best example of bad situational management in a non SB game ever. - In fairness, when you are so good for so long in any sport, your coaches and backups all get hired and signed away elsewhere so the drain effect was inevitable. - The Lenoir signing seems to indicate that they've finally learned to get guys signed early. PS Scout any player's potential replacement pre-draft so you can trade his ass to Carolina, where he can get his money but be miserable for holding a franchise hostage, i.e., Belichick and Jamie Collins. By that I mean Aiyuk should have been traded to Jacksonville pre-draft for Brian Thomas Jr and instead of Pearsall you could have found an extra O Line piece instead of having Puni block 2 guys at once. - Speaking of Pearsall, I want to give him an Incomplete for the offseason he had but so far I haven't seen one thing when I'm watch him play and think "okay I get it". - Special teams... The one thing all dynasties have in common is that they are excellent situationally - I don't get Kyles obsession with CMC, yes OPOY, cool great awesome but even last season the conversation was "we got him for a full camp watch out" okay he was OPOY but even then I thought it didn't seem as creative as it was the year we first got him. He only had about 100 more receiving yards, maybe if we used him as a receiver more he might of been healthier this season. - If Kyle is this in love with CMC, we should have traded Mason while he still had value. It probably could have gotten us an extra pick in a decent round. - Not to beat the dead horse on the way out after the bottle pull but why weren't Sorensen and Staley left in GB? I'm at the point that nobody can convince me that John and Kyle had a conversation with Belichick where there was legit interest but TV offered more money.
Being a 9er fan since the 80s this isn't nearly as bad as it looks. Are fans forgetting this team has been decimated by injuries to key players and has not ONCE had the full team intact from last year to find the consistency it needs? Does anyone even realize the impact of even losing Armstead has? Not having Greenlaw? Or Ward consistently? Theres too many factors to name but now maybe fans will realize how special a year last year was even with a loss in SB. It's hard to win year after year in this league that's what makes KC so special. But 9ers have been right there with 4 NFCCG's and 2 Superbowl's in last 5 years alone!!! The reason 9ers have played the way they have is mainly due to injuries. Thats it. Nothing to question. Plain and simple. If anyone wants Kyle fired needs their heads examined. And this fall hasn't been overnight. ITS INJURIES!!! IT happens. Give this coach and team the damn benefit of the doubt. They deserve that at least.
How would you feel if you paid to go to GB and saw that game in person? I did and it was demoralizing, depressing and embarrassing. The GB fans actually felt bad for the 49ers fan in attendance. They were a class act for sure.

Lack of unity, dwarfed by the lack of tackling, play making, open holes, defensive pressure. Problems aren't attitude, it's talent or lack there of.
Penalties are a direct reflection of coaching
