Thorns have had some of women's football's best technical players over the years (Heath, Boquete, Horan, Henry, etc.) and Sugita can hold her own with any of them. Superb skills and a football mind that's a step or two ahead all the time. Japan's turning out amazing players.

I always assumed that the soccer powerhouses of the world would eventually catch up and level the playing field....if their cultures allowed for it.
