The reason why Gf was shaking and holding her head and why Bf won was because they were in the "Ballistic Zone" Whitty created, which basically increases everyone's powers to the max at the cost of their sanity(Making those affected by it attack everyone around them and, like Gf did) and stamina(Which is why Bf and Gf are extremely exhausted at the end of the battle).
