He wrote doomed in type instead of ID. However, I think you are really funny. Boat name: doomed, KMDT name: Explosion. I am in. I wish you'd do more playthroughs of this.
I found this game to be incredibly rewarding if you really get into the roleplaying aspect. I kept a patrol log and would roll for individual ship IDs. It made things a lot more tense, and that much more exciting when you happen to come across the biggest freighter in the game! I really want to get The Hunters and try for a full war campaign.
Thank you for doing this. There are several playthroughs of The Hunters available but I think yours is the first playthrough of The Hunted. My brain has been a little scrambled by the changes in technology from The Hunters so I've been wanting to see a playthrough.
I know this is late, but you forgot the +1 modifier on the detection roll for it being a capital ship in the June 1944 patrol. I don't think it made a difference since you rolled a 3. I think 4 or lower got you away.
Mike, I know that you no longer have this game and not every game is for everybody. I recently started playing the hunted as my first game in the series. I agree that it can be a brutal game and have died on my first patrol too. However, I found that the game is more fun when I immerse myself more into it. I think that your names of doomed and explosion as well as the choice to use standard tonnage because it is faster may have actually taken away from your enjoyment. By naming the captain something more realistic and using the actual U-boat IDs as well as rolling for tonnage with actual ship names I have found that I get more into the game and have more fun. I subsequently played the hunters and found it less brutal and easier after trial by fire with the hunted. I would encourage anyone playing this game to try to immerse yourself into it more to enhance the enjoyment.
Suicide in a Box might be a better title. But I still enjoy the experience. A better rulebook would have been nice. There is some "carryover" from The Hunters and an odd reference to Italian subs. Just returning alive from a patrol constitutes "success" in this game. Never mind your tonnage.
@@OneStopCoopShop we actually tried to play some similar games in the late 80s, fighting to understand the rules... In the end it was hardly worth the time. I'm glad that games have evolved into something bigger, and more beautiful 😁
@@bryannothem1505 thanks! For the record, I HOPED to like it. If I expect to hate a game, I usually won't take the time to play it 5-10 times for a review :)
Finally, I was looking for Spreadsheets the game :p great playthrough
HAHAHAHAHA, thanks for watching.

That’s awesome! Hope you make it happen some day :)
I found Empress of Britain in The Hunters. And 3 out of 4 torpedoes missed and the forth one was a dud after 41.
great playthrough thanks.
Thanks!

Glad it was helpful!
I love this entire series of games! Great playthrough.
Thanks for watching!

Great advice! Glad you are having a good time with it

Haha, your title is fully apt ;)
Hey! Great video! Please make more that cover more types of U boats and patrol missions to help explain certain rules. Thanks!!!
I didn’t keep the game, sorry!
Really nice session, though I'm sorry to see your bad luck at the end. I'm hoping to break out this game on the weekend. I've only played Hunters.
This one is pretty tough compared to Hunters! Best of luck!!
Love the solo sub games. By the way, torpedo damage is a 2d6 not a 1d6
The 2d6 is a rule typo that was corrected in the errata. 1d6 is correct.
The 7b was a poor choice in 43 either 7c or 9b/c
That sub still did its best! Lol.
I know this video is 2 years old but you can't exceed test depth on the first round if you did a surface attack.
Ha, better late than never. Thanks.
Wow. This looks like 1988... 😁
I’m glad they still make these kinds of games, even if I didn’t love this one in particular ;)

@@OneStopCoopShop I love that you play games you dont exactly like, just to show what kind of game it is and see if others are interested
