Cool review, I run a Rane 72 but I sometimes miss 4 decks so constantly kicking around getting this mixer. My solution for instant tracks is loading them into Serato sample bays. I have numerous open spots to swap in a out special event tracks. 10 empty pads after my samples.
Hey thanks for your great review. It's been really informative. We play lots of mixed format stuff e.g. regular vinyl and serato. Would you be able to tell me what the pure phono channels are like with the effects? Many thanks.
What's up Sherwin and thanks for watching, The X1800 is a really great mixer. Some (not all) of the features that the Neon adds are already built into the Quattro and can be easily shared by two DJ's without the need to swap USB connections. There are pros and cons on both but it boils down to what's features are most important to the way you play. Hopefully this video helped you in answering some of your questions regarding the Quattro.
Not even a question that Quattro is a better deal. At the new price of $699 it's a steal with it's features, dual sound cards, the touch pads and midi mapping in user mode etc. I don't have to spend $1899 for a Rane 72.
Hi, great review! Can you tell me if you have problems with the pfl buttons on the headphones? Because in Mixars Primo controller they have the same buttons and it has problems when it is pressed multiple times. You can also see in Serato settings if Quattro supports in DJ Preferences, On Song Load, the "Enable Auto-cue" function? Best Regards Panos Greece
Hi man very nice and helpfull i wanna buy this mixer and wanna know if i can do some remapping and boom you show me the same remap that i wanna do at 13:10 echo effect on sync button, but i have 1 question please, when you ramap the sync button is possible the data type? i wanna use the echo effect by holding down for a fast echo effect by pressing once, it’ possible? Thanks
What's up Dave, Thanks for watching and sorry for just getting back with you. I believe you question is that you want to map to PRESS not TOGGLE an effect. The midi mapping is set for TOGGLE (meaning that when you press a button the mapped option will stay on until you press it again to turn it off). I don't believe Serato's midi mapping feature has an option to choose between PRESS and TOGGLE. It would be nice to have that option.
What's up DJeeCee and thanks for watching. The Quattro is still in my arsenal and I use it when a gig calls for 4-channels. In my opinion it's still worth the investment....if you can find one. I take care of my equipment, so mine still looks nearly mint and I love the Italian design. Thanks again for watching and please subscribe. - Peace!
Great Review, yours was part of what inspired me to get my Quattro which just arrived this week. As you are using Phase, I'm hoping you can be the man to help me with a query. Ive come from a Z2 on Traktor, on that I have decks and phase plugged in to Phono and Line respectively. I toggle the switch on the mixer to change between both. Serato is a bit new to me, so bare with me...I can't seem to get it to work with decks in Phono and Phase in Line. Ive had to plug the Phase into the Phono input and set the switch near the sockets to Line. Is that how it works? Thanks in advance.
What's up Jahnesh and thanks for watching. I installed the Galileo Crossfader. Here's the install video: th-cam.com/video/YY6VCP-JxK8/w-d-xo.html Thanks again and please subscribe.
Hey Mixlive, just a little question. I really want to get this one, I also have Serato DJ Pro already (bought it for my DDJ-SB2). I'm selling my older mixer+turntables, because I want to stick to Serato. What I can't find out, but sort of is confirmed by your video, but what I want to know for absolutely certain, is the following. I hope you get back to me on this, because no one takes time to reply to me. If I get this Quattro mixer, does it matter whát brand/model turntable and/or tabletop I add to it to control the decks ? I'm thinking of two Denon DJ LC6000's which áre Serato compatible, but also two Reloop RP4000's because I can get them for cheap from a buddy of mine who just received his XDJ-XZ controller. I really want to invest in a standalone mixer and tabletops + turntables, because I also perform in clubs and I might get booked again (quit that scene in 2008) for festivals. I'm a Techno/Deep (Tech) House/Psytrance DJ. Thanks in advance.
The brand of Turntable doesn't matter at all since the timecode for DVS comes from the vinyl or MWM Phase Controllers, not from the turntable. Music Vinyl is a normal phono audio signal, the mixer can take 4 of them. LC6000s are a great choice for Serato. Since they are just controllers they are only connected to serato not the mixer.
Bruh could you explain real quick how you midi mapped the echo to the sync button. I have this same mixer and I would like to map the break to the sync button.
What's up MixTech and thanks for watching. I just published an additional video addressing your question and more. Check it out. th-cam.com/video/ZQkH2pBju1w/w-d-xo.html

What's up Martin and thanks for watching. The two USB ports on the top left are for music. I recommend first to format the usb using Denon Engine music management desktop software. Please subscribe.
Hey there, awesome video! I just bought a mixar quattro and I'm trying to get my phase working with it without much luck. I've got the channels selected to USB on the mixer and the phase connect to the line inputs on those channels. My laptop is connected to the computer which seems to be working well. The song is loading but when I push play on the turntables the song isn't moving. I've also selected relative on serato dj. What am I doing wrong? So frustrating 😂 any help would be more than appreciated
Thanks for this video. I'm not familiar with this brand, can anybody speak about the longevity of this mixer? I'm afraid it'll work for 8 months, then it'll start to fall apart. Looks like this came out in 2017, has anyone been using theirs since then?
From what I've seen the effects in this sound a little water down when compared to Pioneer. I have an Pioneer EFX-500 and if I run that through the Quattro, would that water down the quality of the EFX-500?
Hi Gary and thanks for watching. Yes, I agree that the onboard effects are a bit watered down. Connecting your EFX-500 through the SEND/RETURN on the Quattro should give you great results.
@@DjVloggers Ok thanks, I think I'm going to go with this model. One more question; if I want to use the EFX500 to do an echo only on channel 1 is that possible? I don't see an button on the mixer for external efx on/off.
Hi , do you use the quattro with the pioneer efx? It works well ? I buy Quattro for send return and midi function, so i dont sorry about internal FX if it's good with efx or Rmx 👍
@@Iphixel I understand your concern. You should be able to get manufacture's support for the Scratch for years to come. The Mixars sound is much better, but crowds in most venues won't be able to notice. With that said, make a purchse that works best for you and your needs. Good luck and please subscribe.
Question.. if you have serato in relative mode and then set the mixer to transport mode do the pitch bend buttons work? That is something I currently do in Serato Scratch Live. I have two buttons per deck midi mapped to pitch bend buttons. It allows you to still have control via the vinyl but the added benefit of minor adjustments via the pitch bend buttons. Wondering if that also works in Serato DJ like it did in Serato Scratch.

Great review, very informative.
man i dont know how this passed my radar being a loyal Z2 user. this is the true descendent, except i have to make the switch to Serato.

Thanks. I'm debating between this and spend more for a Denon DJ X1800 paired with my Reloop Neon.

I've had mine for two years with no issues. Mixars is an Italian company.
Mixar is a brand by rcf...and they usually build mixers that have a six figure $$$ prize tag. You find their gear on 90% of the big events^^
