my aunt suffers from this last week. massive bleeding on the brain. when i saw the ct scan. i dont think someone can survive from that much blood on the brain doctors says it can fill a regular glass of water with that amount of blood. i just cry and cry. she stays in icu for 2 days then passed away. the most painful part is we are all helpless, we can't do anything and just wait for her to leave. i hope you found your peace aunte Gaga. after my hemorrhage from AVM and craniotomy i lost 2 gallons of blood and of course lived to tell about it
My husband had stroke 4 years ago been in and hospital since march, of this year he had a peg tube placed in stomach and the peg tube burst and stomach got infected he also developed pneumonia, it’s been a hard journey. Praying 🙏 faith believing that’s I can do.

This is really inspiring, my father had a stroke a few weeks ago and still is in the hospital, after pneumonia from aspiration but he is stable but seems very weak and less motivated, stories like these show how much recovery can still be made
How is ur dad now? My mom just had one. And I think she’s getting pneumonia as well
@@DeeQJohnson thank you for asking, unfortunately he passed, the pneumonia became septic shock which he actually overcame but eventually fight for 6 weeks in the hospital was too much and he had a heart attack. I will pray for you mom. Spend time with her and try be there when the doctors make rounds at this point they need to know you are at their side, that is all you can do until they recover.

@@prashantmahato655 I’m so sorry to hear that, I know how you are feeling, it’s been months now for me, I have learned to appreciate the time I did have and how lucky I was to have such a great father, it can also help if you are spiritual, I believe he is still watching us, I wish you the best, I would immediately get your family and friends to help you and get a lawyer for probate/estate, the work involved after the death can be just as taxing
@@SeanPannellamy girlfriend is also in stroke ICU,the emotional part is we fell in love the very moment she had been in the ICU. Its now over a month now and she can't verbally respond back but she can emotionally here and respond. I made a vow that if God can restore her life she will be the one I'm going to marry and build a family together,I love her so much

My father, at 76 yrs old, had a severe stroke in his cerebellum 5 yrs ago and was intubated and unresponsive. Was airlifted to a trauma hospital where they wanted to do this surgery but also advised he would end up a vegetable with no meaningful recovery. We chose not to operate. Later that day, he 'woke up' (still intubated) and his prognosis changed. Every doctor was shocked as they'd been preparing to move him to palliative care. It was a difficult recovery, his lungs had to keep getting fluid suctioned, he was on feeding tube etc. Eventually he survived being extubated successfully in ICU. He had to slowly get his mobility back in Stroke Rehab, and suffered motion sickness nausea for 6 months. BUT - he recovered to about 95% of what he was before the stroke. Just a little slower in walking but he could go up and down stairs, cook, he rebuilt a gate in the backyard, did light yard work, his mind was sharp as ever. It was incredible! Stroke in the cerebellum, if you can survive the initial week, offers good opportunity for high level of recovery without paralysis. Good luck to everyone out there. I am so proud of what my father accomplished and the quality of life he had in his last 5 years, and the help I was able to offer him during his recovery. He passed at 82 just recently. I miss him every day.

@@gnndabare3290 Thank you. After a month in the hospital testing for everything, doctors could not figure it out. He had locked-in syndrome and I could see his fear/terror in the early days (the worst thing in the world to see a loved one like that) and eventually became unresponsive. Every symptom he had leads me to believe it was a brain stem stroke in the pons (doctors thought this too based on his symptoms), though the MRI did not detect this - there is a level of inaccuracy with MRIs (10-20%) and the brain stem in one of the most difficult areas to look at, with lots of bony artifact in that area of the brain, plus he had significant damage in that general region from his stroke 5 years ago. I still in my heart believe that was the cause of his death. They ran every test imaginable over several weeks and couldn't come up with anything else that made sense. They were just about to run another MRI but his vitals were too unstable to be moved during his last days. It's so hard not to know. I spent all my nights while he was in hospital researching possibilities. I still research even now - it's very difficult to reconcile. :(

@@gnndabare3290 The doctors couldn't come up with a reason - they tested for everything. They had a dozen working hypothesis that all went nowhere and were discarded. They were going to do yet another MRI and Lumbar during his last few days but his vitals were far too unstable to handle such testing at that point. It was a horrible several weeks in hospital while he became more and more unresponsive and ups and downs of potential diagnosis. They thought in the end possibly viral meningitis as the last working hypothesis but he never had fever, or any signs of a virus leading up to this. Also mortality rate for viral meningitis is less than 1%. He is homebound, I was his carer, we didn't see anyone over holidays and I still wear masks in public because I'm paranoid and I have several autoimmune disorders as well. I was never sick, we saw nobody in the weeks leading up. Literally made zero sense it was that. They tested him for everything, all the scans, cancer biomarkers negative. It was so stressful. Because of the 'locked in syndrome' and certain other markers in his lumbar and bloodwork, a brainstem stroke (pons) that didn't show up on the MRI is the only thing that made sense to us. Doctors agreed based on all his symptoms. I wish we had known so we could have closure. Also, in case you're thinking about vaccines - he'd had his two initial vaccines way back when they first rolled out but no boosters since then. I am not vaxxed - I am ex-Big Pharma and never trusted the limited safety data on those.

He Survived. My Dad of 85 years didn't - he had the Hemorrhagic Stroke at 3am on Monday 13 February, and died in hospital at 5:15pm the same day.

What exactly did the recovery took... what was his diet, what were his exercise regimen.. what sort of therapy did he receive?

Well she may speaks from medical point of view !!! Older people r more susceptible for hemorrhage and its reoccurrence in addition recovery ll be harder . So at his age , 47, he is young for the above 👆🏾….
