Good information Ralph. I generally will walk the first 30 second of my recovery interval and then slow jog the rest of it until my next interval. I use time based anymore.,4x4 min w 2 min recov or 6x2 min w/1 min recov. Keep up your good work.

Great information, Keith! Thanks for your interval routine.

Good advice. Always felt guilty if I had to walk a bit during the rest interval. If you plan it in (and you can always plan to reduce it over time), theres no guilt. You're just train8ng 'to plan'😅 its all in the mind....

My only speed work out these days is running for the lights on my way to the from work. Most satisfying speed work out ever (if I cautiously make it 😅). The other time is when a film my 45 min treadmill runs on TH-cam twice a year. The rest are just for fun, I let vo2 max do whatever it does.

I love your traffic light comment! 🤣 One reason I enjoy running is the broad range of activity a runner can do. Not everyone will want to run intervals, and that's great. I enjoy running no matter what i do. Thanks for contributing to this topic!
