@Jai Bhim try raw food, fruitarianism, breatharianism (no food and drink), food just from sun energy (proofen by being in the botom of a pool in a couple of days or more). Veda and Yogi has it all, you can choose which one is your favourite. But being vegetarian is already a great leap, since it already successful in avoiding violence (ahimsa whic is paramo dharmaH, the highest duty).

If you treat them with love and tenderness and also better still if you can walking them in some occasions to enjoy nature then no problem.
