Yeah as stated, Thugra is a guaranteed spawn at Thurga's Stand which is a Dafari camp on the cliff northwest of the desert obelisk by the Sinkhole. He always spawns on the cliff at the eastern edge of the camp and is overlooking the valley below. This makes it easy to come up from the west entrance and clear the camp before dealing with him. Watch out though, I've gotten some good T4 thralls randomly spawning in that camp. If you spot them, get them FIRST as Thugra is always there. He's pretty easy to get early on but you need to be aware that with only basic gear and no bonuses to concussive damage he will be a bit of a fight especially since they buffed his damage and he can EASILY take you out.
@@josegomez-rivera92 Yes they did. This video and comment were before the nerf. Last I checked (about a month ago) the best early game thralls overall are Darfari T3 Fighters. They level fast and hit hard. Like all Darfari they are lacking in HP, but there are no shortage of them. I use them all the way up to the Cimmerian Berserker which is the only thrall that I know of that beats them in damage. Just make sure that you always keep them in the highest defense armour available to you for protection and that you feed them nothing but steaks from day one to boost their vitality. I'd have to double check Darfari T3 arches again in vanilla, but I think that they might have a slightly better range damage stat. The Darfari T3 Fighters have a really high range damage stat and it's high enough that I might not bother with getting archers specifically. I don't remember the vanilla values though because I use the 'Archers are Archers' mod which boosts range damage and nerfs melee for archers while reducing range damage for fighters.
Playing through the Age of War and leveling new thralls with the focus on vitality and survivability, and anything below 4000 HP and not using a sword and board might not survive. Had some close calls with some 3200 - 3500 HP thralls in the beginning, so I retired them and leveled some new ones. Working very well so far. I had one thrall lose over 3500 HP with nerf update.
I’m SO glad you made this video. I’m new to Conan Exiles and I was running with a cannibal brute when an older player joined me. He said they were rubbish & we should only use his named thralls… I thought my brute was quite good and now I know ☺ also the server owner was very nice and gave me an Arena champion… I think to piss off the older player really 😂😂 he still thinks his thralls are better than my Arena champion who I’ve named as my body guard but…I don’t care. I’ve become weirdly attached to those who’ve kept me from dying in dungeons 😝
@@darkcat.gaming Also there's the "Ritualist" which should have similar/same stats as the brute. They're all alone in E4 just a bit south and east of Riverwatch Camp. They used to die to the local hyenas a lot, but these days NPCs mow through local wildlife, so they'd probably be the easiest to snag of all of them.
I got so attached to lian... He was my go to for years. Killed me to se him utterly decimated by some desert dogs. I am adapting now tho. I like the south... Noob river is pretty, and the opt in element of age of war 2 makes building in single player something i can much more creative with, and diversity my settlements a bit. Doesnt hurt that those those easier thralls are more worth my time.
Just Played 16 hours straight to get Lian to level 20 with 4k health. While wearing the Best thrall Armor Redeemed Dragon with Dragon we both just now got destroyed by the Warmaker last Boss. We went through that Dungeon with no problems untill that Boss. Hit me 3 times and him 4 time's and that was it. I'm so disappointed. All that time wasted.
Not sure if you know or not, but my Main base is on Noob river, right off the desert where you start. Have around 20 Thrall's, including some T4 Thralls working the Benches and around 20 pet's from Sand reaper queen to Rhinos and every Bench the game has to offer. Was worried because after so much time building and collecting Thralls I heard the Tavern you can set up and the Purges would not work there but they do. Just had 13 NPCs visit my Bar. Bought a decent named thrall and started my first Purge and did very well. Tried the 2nd and did well also. Gonna wait to level up some higher thralls and Pets before I try 3. I had 3 level 20 Thralls I recently lost to the Arena champion. It sucked so bad. The time wasted hurt lol. Pretty sure no thralls can last against the Arena Champion. Well thought I'd let you know because the South river is so relaxing and pretty and also gets some T4 Thralls that spawn. I found 2 literally 100 ft from my Base in a small camp and also the Dregg Camp spawns some also and the Cannibal brute spawns there every 15 minutes. Next I'm gonna try the 3 or 4 reanimated Zombie's against the Area Champion. Wish me luck lol. Well good luck my friend.

Best "Fighter" thrall I've found are the Purge named darfari archers. Way more health, insignificant multiplier difference (3.12 vs 3.096...0.016 difference). The one I got is Takfor Detdu. Once leveled, Thugra stayed at the base.
Just got Liam topped out top to 20 with 4K. Don't know how people says it takes 2 hours to level them to 20. Took me 16 hours strait just killing everything in the unnamed city. We both just got destroyed by the Warmaker. Him in 4 hits me in 3 hits, him wearing Redeemed legion with Dragon . The very best. We went through that Dungeon easily but wasn't expecting That last Boss to be so difficult. I feel sick, ugh. All them hours down the drain. I've used Cannibal Brutes, Thugra, Cimmerian zerkers, Relic treasure hunters all level 20 with Steaks in the inventory non stop. They not once ran out and I have not once got over 4k health? Please help.
Ur channel became my fav by far of conan. Insane content. I gotta ask you, how i can make the thralls work better? Cause withe the light armor pvp people just pull then and run from them poking them with spears and venom and they just end missing everything and dying. Ofc i mean defending a base, following is another thing. Keep with your content its just awesome!!!

That armor set up I have been using forever, it is ridiculous. If you have the pictish dlc replace the boots with pictish and if you are low on armor scraps do the same with gloves.

Only if use agility weapons and thrall have more agility then strength.But bad agility weapons side-combos have to many moves between hits so damage is less

Haha, someone in Funcom fat fingered that damage multiplier for sure. I'm sure it's going to get patched soon.. sadly, because I kind of like the idea of having a special glass cannon thrall in the game.
It may be intentional. This about has been all about making us play the game more. Grinding new thralls is one way. Just like giving us a reason to collect legendaries.
Applies to armor too, was looking at my past armors before the update that had kits on em, durablity cut in half. Yep, just confirmed it. Any kit applied to a weapon,tool, or armor will NOT have durablity reduced at all.
I suggest you try one handed maces rather than two handers. They do less dmg per hit but dps wise they are superior since they attack faster, have less downtime and the thrall can make really nasty combos with them. A good one handed mace can kill the frost giant in a single combo if you spec in authority with the right perks. Keep in mind that you must NOT use a shield for offhand cause it glitches the AI and your thrall stands still without attacking trying to block attacks. Regarding PvP I can not say much since I play single player only but if you have problems with people blocking attacks you could try using a mace with the shieldsmash effect so they don't bounce back when blocked. Generally speaking maces are better weapons for thralls since they have high armor penetration stats and inflict sunder armor debuffs. This is very visible when you try to fight enemies with really high defense like the the King Rhino.

If you are using maxed authority, one thrall following is better for PVE content, but when levelling your thralls two thralls following you give fastest results. For PVP I wouldn't waste points to authority at all, so you can't have two thralls anyway.
@@darkcat.gaming Not quite. The chest piece indeed provides a bonus to agility dmg, however - the gloves give +str dmg. Overall - Silent Legion (and Voidforged ones, from what I recall) are those sets that have multiple stats, depending on the piece.
So that's why I thought thrall damage was so unbalanced, I even lowered the setting from the server settings xD... I just started playing this game and Thugra was my first thrall
Way ahead of you here man, you saw the google spreadsheat? If you still have the arena champion truncheons you can also knock out the cannibal champion who has an even higher modifier than brute. My cannibal brute has 4k HP with some good perks but levelling them is a pain in the ass when they die to a gentle breeze until they get some levels.

something to consider, berserkers start with 15 str thats 2.24, 33.6% thugra and brute start at 0 so a god zerker max is 79 and brute and thugra will be 64 , so zerker can have 177 max dmg bonus where a thugra could have 204 max, but lets not forget angry drunk also gives more - vitality lol so id say berserkers are still alot more usable lol, the zerkers have 30 vit starting rolling the best perks for vit would leave thugra with 46 str ( to match zerkers hp), plus in pvp how are u every gonna get these crazy god rolls id still recommend zzerkers
For guards i use Cim Zerks armed with 2h sword and a mace Relic hunter with cripple + bleed daggers/katana and a bow and golems that do gas damage. You have those around your base good luck to what or whoever is looking to raid you.
Nah still thinking u are making some mistakes the calculation can be wrong . U can go single players and test a 1 v 1 between bereserker and a cannibal brute I'm 200% sure the cannibal will win it's not even close 😂
the relic hunters were the best, especially the wine cellar spears, kind of a secret, but now it's deception, from 3030 lv 0 to 2000 something,, I don't know if it's just me, but I only take female thralls, , before that everyone was running to get temos,, we really need more diversity

Even before the nerf the arena champion I doing 500-1000 damage per hit , I've only seen a bearer compete with the arena champion because they can actually take a hit equipped with a good 1 hand and shield can almost solo the arena champion, none of these others come close
Damage multiplier is great but if their hp is so low and they die easily, it's not worth it. Sounds like the cannibal is only good in endgame when you can gear them in epics.

@@darkcat.gaming I wrote about this in the first comment, you yourself know about it. Take any thralls and at some point they will have an extra 0.1 added to the multiplier.
Their lack of HP stilll makes him a lil less desirable for me cuz id rather have a fighter live longer compared to hit harder. I di enough damage so a sponge is more useful for how i play the game but dammnnn what did they do to Teimos lmfao. Devs definitely got tired of seeing him i suppose
She's basically the same as a berserker damage wise but gains slightly more HP per point in vitality at 38.3 compared to 35.57 for Berserker, she also starts with about 200 more HP.
idk having 23 strength and down almost 2 k health to a dalen. doesnt make up for the multiplier bud. Maybe vs dugeon creatures but over all dale. will slap that fool.

@@transittramp51 Gave him a Legendary Ax, The Act of Violence. No Shield. So far I don't think any Thrall can last with the Arena Champion. The whole Dungeon was pretty easy besides that Boss. Shield's seem so wonky on Thrall's, like they use them at the wrong time's.

the thing is that damage multiplayer is not all that matters, its the combination of the build, 2 good Lians with good armor, sorc and perks on follow kills arena champion in like 9 seconds, Arena champion dont even get one hit in cause shes on the floor and never rise again :)

if you want more damage you can give them salted pork black lotus 30% strength damage and heavy armor 5 pieces strength 25%. i just use zombies haha 8K hp 3 followers and they are cheap no need for level

Yea the reason I stopped play was the whole poke roll crap, they just need to make roll take mor e stamina at least, or give you a number of rolls before it has to recharge, and each lvl of grit will give you 1 extra roll, but you start with 1 or 2 base lvl

Thugra and the Brute hit hard now but a stiff breeze will kill them. overall, the best fighting thrall right now spawns in a Cimmerian purge in the snow region near frost temple. he comes out of the wheel with 700+ hp. it doesn't matter how hard a thrall hits when it's dead on the fucking ground. age of war is thrall survivability not strength. unless you enjoy grinding out replacement thrall levels like a damn zombie. i don't.

Thugra location is the cliff just north of sinkhole obelisk. The cliff by where the age of sorcery wagon use to sit.

Thugras stand up from where the caravan used to be near the sinkhole. Thugra used to be the worse thrall in the game

Side note Ritualist same as CB and arena champ has 100% armor pen in her kit
except arena champion has 9k+ hp.. in any situation where its thrall vs thrall those thralls get destroyed

You should consider the Perfected Heavy armor which gives 5% str AND 5% agi damage.

Anybody else notice when you put a master weapon fitting, no durablity is lost!!?? Redoing all my legendaries & putting the master weapon fittings.

What is better, one buffed up thrall, or two un-buffed thralls?
If you are using maxed authority, one thrall following is better for PVE content, but when levelling your thralls two thralls following you give fastest results. For PVP I wouldn't waste points to authority at all, so you can't have two thralls anyway.

@@darkcat.gaming Not quite. The chest piece indeed provides a bonus to agility dmg, however - the gloves give +str dmg. Overall - Silent Legion (and Voidforged ones, from what I recall) are those sets that have multiple stats, depending on the piece.
Also reminds me of early day Conan when they 1st added thrall levels i found a Thugra with 100% vit and agl and 90% str growth haha

Way ahead of you here man, you saw the google spreadsheat? If you still have the arena champion truncheons you can also knock out the cannibal champion who has an even higher modifier than brute. My cannibal brute has 4k HP with some good perks but levelling them is a pain in the ass when they die to a gentle breeze until they get some levels.
Take them to the jungle and kill monkeys, They level pretty quick

something to consider, berserkers start with 15 str thats 2.24, 33.6% thugra and brute start at 0 so a god zerker max is 79 and brute and thugra will be 64 , so zerker can have 177 max dmg bonus where a thugra could have 204 max, but lets not forget angry drunk also gives more - vitality lol so id say berserkers are still alot more usable lol, the zerkers have 30 vit starting rolling the best perks for vit would leave thugra with 46 str ( to match zerkers hp), plus in pvp how are u every gonna get these crazy god rolls id still recommend zzerkers

Relic hunter with cripple + bleed daggers/katana and a bow
and golems that do gas damage. You have those around your base good luck to what or whoever is looking to raid you.
Nah still thinking u are making some mistakes the calculation can be wrong . U can go single players and test a 1 v 1 between bereserker and a cannibal brute I'm 200% sure the cannibal will win it's not even close 😂

Hey, the Ritualist is a 100 percent spawn, just east of the dreggs on the cliff. Its basically the Brute.. 3.1 damage modifier..

I noticed my Sabers have Bearer HP now smh. 8k, 10K and 9HP between the 3 of them.
teir 3 bearers in the exiled lands can get up to 16k health now easily 22K if you use the one auth perk

Even before the nerf the arena champion I doing 500-1000 damage per hit , I've only seen a bearer compete with the arena champion because they can actually take a hit equipped with a good 1 hand and shield can almost solo the arena champion, none of these others come close

@@darkcat.gaming I wrote about this in the first comment, you yourself know about it. Take any thralls and at some point they will have an extra 0.1 added to the multiplier.

If we are basing off of unobtainable thralls- Valis the Loyal is the strongest followed by Sobek Boss & then the Arena Champion

She's basically the same as a berserker damage wise but gains slightly more HP per point in vitality at 38.3 compared to 35.57 for Berserker, she also starts with about 200 more HP.

idk having 23 strength and down almost 2 k health to a dalen. doesnt make up for the multiplier bud. Maybe vs dugeon creatures but over all dale. will slap that fool.

@@transittramp51 Gave him a Legendary Ax, The Act of Violence. No Shield. So far I don't think any Thrall can last with the Arena Champion. The whole Dungeon was pretty easy besides that Boss. Shield's seem so wonky on Thrall's, like they use them at the wrong time's.

the thing is that damage multiplayer is not all that matters, its the combination of the build, 2 good Lians with good armor, sorc and perks on follow kills arena champion in like 9 seconds, Arena champion dont even get one hit in cause shes on the floor and never rise again :)

if you want more damage you can give them salted pork black lotus 30% strength damage and heavy armor 5 pieces strength 25%. i just use zombies haha 8K hp 3 followers and they are cheap no need for level

Game needs an overhaul, stopped playing, the new stamina is trash, infinite rolls
Yea the reason I stopped play was the whole poke roll crap, they just need to make roll take mor e stamina at least, or give you a number of rolls before it has to recharge, and each lvl of grit will give you 1 extra roll, but you start with 1 or 2 base lvl
@@MaroonGoonethey need to put an internal cooldown on rolling thrust. Like 10 seconds or something. As it is now with the new system its beyond broken. They also need to do something about last stand. Imo just delete it.

Thugra and the Brute hit hard now but a stiff breeze will kill them. overall, the best fighting thrall right now spawns in a Cimmerian purge in the snow region near frost temple. he comes out of the wheel with 700+ hp. it doesn't matter how hard a thrall hits when it's dead on the fucking ground. age of war is thrall survivability not strength. unless you enjoy grinding out replacement thrall levels like a damn zombie. i don't.
