I was in the original opening cast for this parade as a Sprite girl. The original choreographer from France taught us the routine in the studio for 6 weeks before the opening day pass. We all worked so hard to make this special. Fun times and fun people. I performed this parade 6 nights a week for over a year from October 1999 until December 2000. Then my college class schedule changed and I had to give up the job. I hope we brought joy to many people. It’s nice to see this video here. I recognized a lot of my old friends from the college program.
I still remember this parade to this day. I’m now 30 and I remember it from my childhood probably in the late 90s/early 2000s. I bet I was on the sidelines watching!
Thank you for sharing that. I saw the parade live in December 2000, so I may well have seen you. Thanks for an incredible performance that I remember to this very day.
This has already been said but it bears repeating: Yes, this was the greatest Disney parade ever...but the most important thing is WHY it was the best. It wasn't an ad for anything. It didn't promote Disney's latest venture.... It was just a celebration. And it's message was about human harmony and world peace.
Let's face it, if Epcot gets a new parade it won't be anything beautiful and inspiring like this. It'll probably be "A Tribute to all Disney Movies but Mostly Frozen."
I wish I could have seen this. If I would have seen this live, it would be my favorite parade. One parade I have seen light is the Main Street Electrical Parade and that parade is amazing
I've been going to disney world since i was literally a baby in 1995. The last time i was there in 2021, it was not the magical place it used to be anymore. Genuinely one of the most depressing things that has ever happened to me; the parks in their 2000 form are a deeply rooted part of who i am.
You and your colleagues helped create so many lasting memories between my two brothers and I. I'll never forget being 11 or 12 and getting chosen to dance with one of the puppets at 11:07 somewhere around the Canada pavilion. Tapestry of Dreams/Nations and Illuminations are still among my favorite productions that disney has ever put on, and while I'm sad that the last remnents of the millennium shows are disappearing as of this summer, I'm so excited to see what disney comes up with next. It'll likely inspire another generation as these shows did for me.
This parade literally propelled me into wanting to work Theme Park entertainment. Literally the guide to my walk of life. And I have been part of Universal's daily ops parade for the past 5 years and still going strong. Thank you so so much for being a part of my most pivital and precious memories. :)
The best Disney times... ever! This parade rocked. You’d have to have been there to understand the feelings that the great millennium walk conjures up.
Long before I lived in Orlando and became a regular at the parks with my annual pass, I saw this parade and was hooked on the magic when one of those reticulated man puppets leaned down and shook my hand. Best parade they've ever done. I know they'll never bring it back, but at least I get to hear the music at park closing time! Thank you for posting this - wiping s tear away.
I miss this parade. EPCOT needs to bring this back. EPCOT has gone through changes but Its missing a heart beat and this was it. Without the World Showcase, EPCOT would be nothing. This music and parade brought everyone together and the having it in World Showcase it was perfect.
This was the best parade ever! The music is phenomenal. Costumes were exquisite. I saw this five times. If they ever bring it back, I will fly to Orlando just to see it again!
Stephanie West great idea. Disney can bring back the nostalgia to get more people to visit (although the crowds are already heavy enough). Call it Tapestry of Wonder or something in time for the 40th anniversary. Have both new and old style floats and costumes, and a new modernized version of the old soundtrack.
EPCOT need to do some sort of nations parade again during the day, would bring the world showcase to life and help show that we are stronger as one world.
I’m so glad that I got to see this parade in January of 2000. When I went to Disney World with my family. Not my first trip to Disney World. But, it was my first time as a wheelchair user at Disney World. This parade lifted my spirits, and soul in many ways.
I saw this in person. Highlight of my life. Have the CD & have it on my phone so can listen to the music as I walk. Saw this when visited WDW with my son and his family...grandkids were then about 10 & 5. Loved the PARADE.
My mom was a float driver for this parade and she was pregnant with me during the time and 17 years later hearing the soundtrack for the first time since my mom was pregnant with me, it all sounds so familiar. Thank you for sharing! My mom loves it!
I miss this parade so much. I saw this when I was about 10/11. The music always gives me goosebumps. Every trip my mom and I go on we always play this soundtrack. Then again even a quick errand that we do we still blast this music. R.I.P: Tapestry Of Nations/Dreams Parade
Heck, I was born while this parade was running, I was THERE when I was 6 months old, and it's like I never saw it. I wish I could have truly experienced this.
Sadly I never got to see this parade, although did see the SpectroMagic a few times (1998, 2010, possibly 2002 and 2005) and even performed in the Spectro with my school’s marching band in 2008.
This was an amazing event, I'm really sorry you guys didn't get to see it in person. I very clearly remember both the original and "Dreams" version of the parade, so vividly in fact that I was surpised when I realised both versions only ran for a combined 4-ish years. I remember the anticipation I felt all year long waiting to go back and see this show. I was devestated when it ended.
Jessie B since Disney has cashed in on so much nostalgia lately, it would be quite something to see another version of Tapestry come back. Knowing what the Bobs want (Iger and Chapek) it would probably feature a lot of intellectual properties though. Still the main theme of the soundtrack is iconic.
I can't believe its been 18 years since I saw this wonderful parade. Disney had something really special back then, add on the Illuminations - Reflections of Earth show and you had an experience that I shall certainly treasure for the rest of my days. Thank you for posting and, to all of the Disney staff involved with this show, you did great guys ! :-) ( I now have to go and wipe my eyes )
I just came home from the end of Illuminations a few weeks ago and cried like a baby. This was such a wondrous time at Epcot and so many beautiful memories were made with my then 5 year old son who will be 24 this year. I'd forgotten about the parade that went with the show. 20 years of beautiful Epcot memories. Thanks ever so much for posting this.
Thank you for sharing this! I miss this parade so much!! Back then I was 5. I remember I cried when they shake hand with another kid beside me, I reach out my hand for a long time, but no one answer..... Then came a beautiful lady in parade with a big and sweet smile on her face, and literally give me a hand. I felt warm and be loved at that time, and I respond her with a big smile too! I would like to thank the lady if possible. She is really an angle!
The music is so memorable. The parade unlike any other. This was truly 1 of a kind! Brings me to tears every time I see and hear this. Epcot always puts me in a mellow mood. And this Tapestry Of Nations is the pinnacle!
You can also hear this great song after Illuminations, after the song 'we go on' is replayed. I often stick around after the fireworks to listen to it :)
Absolutely the best parade Disney ever did! Some of the musical score is highlighted in the new Epcot Forever show & I just had to see this parade again! I was there in Sept 2000 too!
My mother and I loved this parade! The interaction, music and the puppetry were amazing! I remember one of those big guys at 8:59 leaning down towards her. They were huge and those winged things at 16:38 sailing over our heads. I'm tearing up a bit here. : ( I also still have the soundtrack and still love to listen to it. Brings back a lot of memories. My Mom and I saw it 6 times and like here, everyone would applaud at the end. We used to also hear this music after Illuminations and we would turn to each other with tears in our eyes. My Mom has since passed on now but I feel blessed that I got to share this with her.
My parents saw this a few times during its run. I was born in the year 2000 and they took me to see it too, though unfortunately I was too young to remember anything. I'm thankful for videos like this that exist so that I can see it all these years later.
I just found this video and it brought so many wonderful memories. You see I was a cast member and I danced at this parade. I it to handle 4 of them: Astec, Tin Man, Angel and Marionette. Best experience of my life. I will never forget it.
I still feel honored to have been able to witness this parade in real life. On my college program, there were a lot of kids who hadn't even heard of it. Seriously makes me feel lucky
I was only 5 when this parade closed but one of my earliest memories is looking up and being amazed by the puppets! Tapestry of Nations really started my love for Disney magic and hearing the music after Illuminations always makes me so happy. This parade and Illuminations are everything Epcot is supposed to be about - I just hope that magic and sense of coming together isn't lost with the new firework show.
Thanks so much for the uploaded video. It is great to see this parade again, I was there in November of 2000 and just remember the feeling of optimism and excitement of the celebration.
Watching this parade is honestly one of my first memories in life haha I was six years old in 2000, and I still remember being fascinated by all the different colors and flags
A few months back my family was converting old camcorder tapes into video files on our computer and we ran into a tape of this. It was a nostalgia overload for me.
So cool! I was only 7 at the time but I remember the music (as it now plays after IllumiNations) and I remember seeing the Epcot ball with the hand and wand on it in 2000. Thank you for posting! World Showcase is now my absolutely undisputed favorite place in WDW :)
Sara Jolly I was there for my fourth Birthday. Had my birthday dinner and cake at the Garden Grill. This music, and the whole Millennium Celebration CD gives me goosebumps.
This was the last parade I saw with my grandparents, in 2001. I was moved by the the music, the puppetry. This is one of my favorite parades Disney has ever done, and it’s a beautiful reminder of those cherished moments with my grandparents, and that we are all stronger together than we are separated.
This parade, innoventions music/sidewalk lights, and illuminations really marked the best time in Disney world history. If I could time travel I would go back.
This is one of the best parades that Disney ever produced. The cast members all worked so hard to produce and perform an absolutely stunning spectacle.
What a soundtrack and quite some floats. While Disney is busy coming up with all kinds of Intellectual Property (IP) type renovations to Epcot, who knows if they will bring a parade back. It may go hand in hand with the new fireworks show. Currently the Magic Kingdom doesn’t even have a nighttime parade which is a joke. Who knows if we will see a Tapestry of IP’s or something. Since there’s quite some time in the evening available before the fireworks.
I saw this parade when I was 5 years old and I still remember it to this day (now 18yrs old). Sometimes I find myself humming along to the music while out and about because the music is just so great. Miss this! :')
I am so glad this was uploaded and really amazing quality. My daughter watched this in amazement and I was so happy she got to see it if this was the only way. I totally agree the best parade they ever did followed by ILLUMINATIONS at night. Some of the best times at Disney were here.
Best Disney park experience I ever had was this parade. It was magnificent, but also because one of the puppet operators saw me (alone) bouncing with the music, and came over and bowed and interacted with me for a few seconds.
I visited Epcot in late 1999. I remember this parade. Weeks later I was at home watching the 2000 Today television special. The parade was shown that day.
Thank you for sharing this Jeremy I saw this parade in December of 2000 as a graduation gift from my parents I graduated from High School in 2000 We also did the Disney Cruise that year too Disney Wonder I still have the poster of the Wonder from that year too Where we watched the parade was in front of The Crown & Crest store in the UK Pavilion
Oh I remember this parade! I was there in 1999. The drummers were my favorite. I love looking at the crowd as well. Clothes are still 90s right at the end of it lol.
No matter how many times we saw this -- and we saw it as often as possible -- it never lost the magic. Loved the costumes the performers and the music. Well done.
It was one of those parades where It freaked me out but at the same time I thought it was cool! I was too little to really understand too....but I do remember this parade
Let's face it, if Epcot gets a new parade it won't be anything beautiful and inspiring like this. It'll probably be "A Tribute to all Disney Movies but Mostly Frozen."
Why would Epcot have a parade like that? Wouldn’t a parade of Disney Movies be better place at Disney Hollywood Studios instead? Since that park is all about movies
@@andrewpriester6994 Oh I agree completely but Disney doesn't care about theming consistency anymore. Everything has to be an advertisement for their IP now.
I remember this parade I was 7 turning 8 and my brother was 8 turning 9 it was the best and the most amazing parade I have ever seen and I still love the sound track heck I own it and my kids now 3 and 2 love it as well
Have seen it in person, and it always amazes me that with all this beautiful music and pageantry, so many people are not even paying attention. Why the hell did you come?
During the Milennium Celebration, McDonald's should have had Happy Meal toys of the Tapestry of Nations puppets: The Sage of Time, the rolling clock unit with the drummers, Aztec Man, Disc Man, Hammered Man, The Sprite, Inverted Marionette, Bird Man, Wiggle Girl and Angel Girl!
Thank you for making my 7th birthday special that year. November 8 1999. My favorite parade and first trip to Disney!
I still remember this parade to this day. I’m now 30 and I remember it from my childhood probably in the late 90s/early 2000s. I bet I was on the sidelines watching!
This is so special to me!! And I listened to the soundtrack on repeat
Thank you for sharing that. I saw the parade live in December 2000, so I may well have seen you. Thanks for an incredible performance that I remember to this very day.
Thank you did my favorite parade as a child
This has already been said but it bears repeating:

I like disc man

Well said, I can't add anything.

I am the Sage in this video, honored, humbled, amazed and proud to have opened and closed this remarkable event. A milestone in my life
Which one were you, the one at the beginning from Morocco to United Kingdom or the one at the middle and end from Germany to Morocco?
If you are still on here can I ask you about your role?
These were the BEST days of Disney in my opinion. Everything the imagineers created was magic and warmed my heart. To have that Disney again!!!
As someone who was born after this show existed, I feel like Epcot today is really missing this from the past.
I've been going to disney world since i was literally a baby in 1995. The last time i was there in 2021, it was not the magical place it used to be anymore. Genuinely one of the most depressing things that has ever happened to me; the parks in their 2000 form are a deeply rooted part of who i am.
I was in this parade, miss the people I worked with.
You should be very proud. It is, in my opinion the best parade Disney has ever done. Thank you! (and yes I was there to see it live in 2000.)
This will forever be my favorite parade and the one that I will never forget! The performance by everyone in the parade was beautiful!!

JustDaz we need this parade now more than ever
JustDaz yeah but at nighttime though. Even preceding Illuminations.
JustDaz Yeah! Hopefully they can do that for Epcot’s 40th anniversary in 2022 and the parade should be called “World of Dreams”!
I think Epcot should have a new Tapestry parade celebrating the end of the COVID-19 pandemic!
@@HighonBoots Thats the one I saw back in October 2000. SUCH A AMAZING PART at EPCOT

Thanks so much for the uploaded video. It is great to see this parade again, I was there in November of 2000 and just remember the feeling of optimism and excitement of the celebration.
I swear 2000 to 2010 were the golden years of Disney
Thanks to the cast members who brought us this fantastic parade. Job well done
Wow!! What a great parade that was..I miss the good old days at Disney world. ☺
Watching this parade is honestly one of my first memories in life haha I was six years old in 2000, and I still remember being fascinated by all the different colors and flags
thank you thank you thank you! one of the most magical times in my life. watching my 2 and 4 yo be AMAZED was magical!
This was such a good parade glad my wife and I could see it. This was when Disney was good at what they did. Thanks for sharing.
A few months back my family was converting old camcorder tapes into video files on our computer and we ran into a tape of this. It was a nostalgia overload for me.
Jupiter9099 for me this is tied with Paint the Night for obvious reasons. This ties for me because of nostalgia.

What a magical evening...will never forget it!
This was the best memory my kids have of Epcot and by far the best parade that WDW put on. Jeremy thank you for sharing!
This was the last parade I saw with my grandparents, in 2001. I was moved by the the music, the puppetry. This is one of my favorite parades Disney has ever done, and it’s a beautiful reminder of those cherished moments with my grandparents, and that we are all stronger together than we are separated.
My favorite parade that Disney ever had. I wish they would revive that for the anniversary.
This parade, innoventions music/sidewalk lights, and illuminations really marked the best time in Disney world history. If I could time travel I would go back.
This is one of the best parades that Disney ever produced. The cast members all worked so hard to produce and perform an absolutely stunning spectacle.
this parade is full of memories for me, thanks for sharing this footage. it is so precious.
I was there when they were having the Tapestry of Nations Parades, I found it Kinda creepy, but that made it all even more memorable and mystical
Our first trip WDW was 2000. My Daughter was 5 back then. Now almost 20, with a child of her own to bring there now. Wow time flies..
Epcot Forever brought me here. Lol
only good thing about epcot forever is that it's bringing people here!! 😂😂

I saw this when we first went down to Disney. I was only 3 at the time but I still remember this so vividly. I really miss this ;3;
For being filmed in 2000 the video is great quality. Great job!
I absolutely love how it’s been 19 years and yet the logo on the banners for world showcase remain the same
I wish I had been around for this. I was born a year after this.
Great video! Thanks for sharing this. This is one of the better quality videos out there. GR8 Job! ;-)
The music is so beautiful 😢😭💔 I don't know how I didn't bawl my eyes out when I was 14. Maybe I'm just nostalgic... What I would give to go back 😔
One of the best parades Disney ever produced. Brings back memories...nice job shooting this. Thanks!
Have always loved this. So glad they still play the music at Epcot. I hope that isn't lost with all the changes.
I saw this parade when I was 5 years old and I still remember it to this day (now 18yrs old). Sometimes I find myself humming along to the music while out and about because the music is just so great. Miss this! :')
First time I went to Disney World was in May 2000! I loved this Parade so much!
Was there for this at 8 years old. Just wow. I’ll never forget it
This brings me back so many memories. i still remember the same music being played. Such happy times :')
In 2000 we saw this parade. Our children were small, and they just loved it! I wish they would bring it back-one of my favorites!
I experienced this parade Jan 2000. Greatest day/vacation of my life. With my dream girl ❤️
I definitely remember seeing this parade at epcot. Best parade ever.
This parade had me crying like a baby the first time I saw it. I wish they could make this work again.
A truly magical parade...
I am so glad this was uploaded and really amazing quality. My daughter watched this in amazement and I was so happy she got to see it if this was the only way. I totally agree the best parade they ever did followed by ILLUMINATIONS at night. Some of the best times at Disney were here.
Thank you for this! This will go down as the greats in history
Best Disney park experience I ever had was this parade. It was magnificent, but also because one of the puppet operators saw me (alone) bouncing with the music, and came over and bowed and interacted with me for a few seconds.
Awww thank you SO much for sharing this! My parents used to take me to Dis often and ToN was one of my favourites. Miss being able to go to Dis.
I saw this parade when I was 7. :) It really stuck with me. So much imagination!
I remember seeing this parade but never knew what it was called. Glad to see it again
I visited Epcot in late 1999. I remember this parade. Weeks later I was at home watching the 2000 Today television special. The parade was shown that day.
They should bring this back. Great parade at Epcot
Thank you for sharing this Jeremy
I saw this parade in December of 2000 as a graduation gift from my parents
I graduated from High School in 2000
We also did the Disney Cruise that year too
Disney Wonder
I still have the poster of the Wonder from that year too
Where we watched the parade was in front of The Crown & Crest store in the UK Pavilion
There was some kind of magic in this parade that felt real. It made us better for seeing it.
In Jan 2001 I danced with the girl of my dreams at this parade. Best times of my life. I need a tissue
I loved that parade.... my favorite by far, even though I love most things at Epcot World Showcase.
Oh I remember this parade! I was there in 1999. The drummers were my favorite. I love looking at the crowd as well. Clothes are still 90s right at the end of it lol.
Such a beautiful and powerful parade, wish i could of seen it live
Truly an amazing parade! I remember seeing this as a young child and just being in awe!
It was the most beautiful parade I saw! I was 11 at the time. Wish I could see it live again!
I saw this when I first went to Disney at age 6. I still remember the music so clearly.
No matter how many times we saw this -- and we saw it as often as possible -- it never lost the magic. Loved the costumes the performers and the music. Well done.
I really hope they revive this parade one day. I'd kill to experience it.
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying. 😂
I remember this parade I was 7 turning 8 and my brother was 8 turning 9 it was the best and the most amazing parade I have ever seen and I still love the sound track heck I own it and my kids now 3 and 2 love it as well
What a wonderful parade! Good old memories. I have missed it so much...
Thank you for posting this, still my favorite parade
I miss this parade so much.
i remember watching this 16 years ago, bought the CD, time flies
If only time travel was possible so i can travel back in time to see this amazing and beautiful parade
I saw this as part of PBS's Millenium coverage! Millions, I'm sure, saw it happen as it happened!
Have seen it in person, and it always amazes me that with all this beautiful music and pageantry, so many people are not even paying attention. Why the hell did you come?
Please Disney bring back this beautiful parade. Oh how I miss it.
