(Thanks for pinning your testimonials so no one can get to the top and show an apposing view.) Yes your 2 vids were excellent except for one thing? You never played the straight white key only (for beginners) progression 1-4-3-6-2-5-1 with a white key only solo that you demoed and said you would play. Instead you went and did what everyone does, you marketed your book. Jamey Aebersold has books with music, and they are the standard. It's clear that you are an excellent musician, but you failed at the "Holy Grail" of teaching jazz to beginner's? (To show them how to sound like a jazz musician on the white keys only. The 1-4-3-6-2-5-1 played straight with no inversions is what beginner's want to learn in one weekend because they can play it! No beginner wants to start by learning 1500 chords. Hi Mark, Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I always appreciate constructive criticism, and you make some good points... (you said 2 so I assume you watched Part 1?) I will strongly consider using your suggestions in a future video. (I will write to you.) In addition I have a beginner level video that shows easy improvisation on a 2-5-1 progression using the white notes: see link below. Also in case you don't know, I have about 90 free scores available on my website, a few are easy levels. (see links). th-cam.com/video/wsDMOgLjCXA/w-d-xo.html www.kenthewitt.com/free-music-downloads
Hi Mark, as a jazz beginner, I completely understand what you're talking about not to emphasize the demos but only play simple things that beginners can understand and reproduce. But after watching plenty of piano jazz tutorials, I find Kent's ones the best to understand step by step. It's not easy to match everyone needs and levels but I thank people like Kent whos are giving us all these lessons for free with so much passion. About what you want, I think Kent is doing it at 26:08 of the first part : th-cam.com/video/fm_K54nML4c/w-d-xo.html He's only using the white keys with seventh chords. Maybe it's a bit short, but I can reproduce it and once done, I want to understand the next step.

Thanks! I'm a piano teacher & have any easy time playing jazz but lately have been asked by a student to teach him how to play jazz from the beginning. I was in school in the late '70's-'80's, & who knows where my school stuff is, so I'm happy to have found these videos. It reminds me of what I learned so long ago! I do remember my teacher saying that jazz begins with the 7th. So thank you again!
Hi Cindy....thanks so much for taking the time to watch and write to me. I've heard from a few piano teachers and it's very gratifying. Best wishes to you!
Hi Kent, Over the past few months from practicing and from their feel on the keyboard, I have learned most of the major and minor "7" chords and can play them without much hesitation, I am now working on learning to play the inversions from this video. Your teaching is clear, well done and also very much appreciated! Thank you again.

The only thing that would have made this video better, is if we would have had TH-cam when I was 16, and I would have known which book to get and what to learn and practice. Instead I learned classical and always wanted to play jazz. Now I'm older and feel like I'm just starting on my journey. For me, these are perfectly paced and layed out. I have enough theory to understand it, and the way you present it is really making me understand it for the first time. Many many thank yous from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks a lot, Kent, as usual! Your lessons are really helping me through a difficult time in life, making me feel less alone and more empowered to keep searching for my musical voice. I’ve played guitar for years hodge-podge and some piano but going over these from square one from a pro like yourself is helping me to grasp fundamentals I’ve never had down before and it’s very soothing and good on the brain and fingers. I already feel more free and happier in my expression improvising after your videos.
Greetings from Lisbon, Portugal. I just wanted to thank you for your generosity, time and passion for teaching. I always find your explanations clear and helpful and have learnt so much from your videos.
Thanks, Sally, I enjoy doing this and actually learn something myself. I glad to hear you comment and please keep watching! th-cam.com/channels/dmjw5sm9Kn83TB_rA_QBCw.htmlplaylists
Drummer for 30 years here, trying to catch up to speed on piano, which is frustrating. My head is way ahead of my hands. I love jazz and soul. These two videos thus far have been really helpful. You're filling in a lot of theory gaps for me. Really enjoyed following you as you explained things. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks. I've been working at it and making a lot of progress. That thing you do in the bridge where you reach your thumb under to hit the C is really throwing me though. Is that something I really need to work on or should I just try voicing it differently to avoid my hands running into each other. Thanks again. I'm learning a ton from you. Looking forward to completing this lesson and moving onto part 3!
This makes so much more sense than doing something that a teacher tells you with no understanding. What you're left with is all kinds or manners of disparate skills that are practically useless! I especially like the simplified version where you keep adding an additional note harmonically. I suspect that there are hundreds of songs that are based on the same or similar progressions that if understood from a chord scale perspective would automatically simplify learning and make playing more accessible. I am convinced that many teachers either don't know themselves or they want to keep you in a fog.
Could be. I think if you watch the Part 1 and the other Jazz for Beginners videos, you'll gain more perspective on that ...also I'd recommend my theory lessons. Go to playlists and click on the titles for Easy Jazz Lessons and Theory Lessons. Thanks for the comment! th-cam.com/channels/dmjw5sm9Kn83TB_rA_QBCw.htmlplaylists
I ‘m a drummer and play guitar trying to find my way into jazz- I just stumbled onto a years’ free lessons on your page, thankyou for making it clear, you are a very good intuitive teacher and I’m going to share your page with others. Excellent.

A light bulb moment - need to swing not beat-plonk (like I do when trying to pick out the changes), which came when you get rolling with the "That's All" simplified left hand chords. Loving these lessons easing me into jazz. Thank you again Kent.
I'm glad you're learning something new, and my teaching style is effective. Thanks for telling me, Stephen! Keep it up with this series. th-cam.com/channels/dmjw5sm9Kn83TB_rA_QBCw.htmlplaylists
Another great lesson. These jazz for beginners lessons allow me to play a good sounding version of a jazz tune in a short period of time. There are lots of jazz piano vids on TH-cam. Yours are the best!

Just love your chord explanations. I have never found a piano teacher who instructs on chord relationships and the theory behind it all. That is one of my favorite songs being played on a radio program in LA when I flew night trips from LA to NY as a flight attendant back in my hay day. I am just trying to learn to play cocktail music without sheet music and all by ear coordinating base chords with melody. Hard to find an instructor with those teaching talents. Your TH-cam seem to do just that. Shirley G.

Hello my name is Alberto Caicedo ,i just want to say thanks you so much for sharing your videos, i am a Colombian Latin musician, and i am hungry for learn jazz and i have to tell that your videos are helping me so much because your explanation are very specific's and precise, and that make my live easy to understand how Jazz works. Thank You So much Mr Hewitt. i apologize for the miss takes in my writing, English is not my first language ,but i Apreciate so much what you do for the music and for people that want's to learn Jazz.
Alberto, I can feel your heartfelt comment, which is affirmation for finding meaning in one's life...different for everyone...but absolutely necessary...thank you and swing loose, my brother.
Hello again, MAESTRO, is wonderful to be back in the Jazz Ranch, listen to your wonderful lessons, you great master of the patience , here I am back , not very far from you bought your good looking summer hats and the vendors carry twice as much the amount you saw, due to the absence of buyers like you who know how to enjoy the nice weather and the beat four by four that makes you swaying to the music and swing loose. Saludos and hugs from your Amigo.
You are a real funky jazz cat sir and I really appreciate your videos. I've trawled the internet and gained insights from many sources but yours is one of the best for depth of information and teaching style. I would recommend you to anyone.
Try the option to slow down the video by clicking on the settings button in lower right. You have to do it while the video is running or it doesn't work.
Just gone through this video slowly for the third time Kent. I'm sure it won't be the last time either. Your "Beginner Jazz" series videos are excellent. Thank you very much. Simple Jazz is just starting to get into my fingers...Regards Dave
That's very gratifying to me, Dave, because all my videos require a lot of work to pull off, and the best reward for me, is to hear from folks like you. Blessings!
Great player and great teacher. This video is so great at showing basic harmony theory, but Kent breaks it down so it is not so intimatating. Thanks Kent you are my hero. I really mean that.
I love the addition of swing rhythm to the simplified version at the end of the video. The whole tutorial is very useful: it gives me the emotional motivation to practice (very important) and a guide on what to practice (equally important). I'm using it daily. Thank you, Kent!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving... I sure am grateful for the ways your book and instructional videos have enhanced my musical understanding. Thanks, Kent, for being so generous with your time and knowledge!
True to my comment in Lesson one, I am now here on Part Two. Very challenging but I am digging in and loving that I actually understand what I'm doing! But I think it's gonna take more than the two weeks you suggest. LOL! Thank you again for your dedication to jazz education. Those of us who have stumbled upon your videos are truly blessed! Many thanks. 💕
dear Kent, THANK YOU so MUCH!!!!!!!!!! Your lessons make me happy about learning and understanding jazz theory!!! GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!
Ken - this is probably the most import fundamental tutorial for those starting out learning to play the piano and understanding chord tones and their values and how they apply to melodies. - Bravo!
This is such a great help for me. Even though I am taking lessons, every other week since I live so far. Your explanations work so well for me. I am slower than most, but unfortunately don't have a lot of patience. So I tend to want to play fast instead of going slowly first. I especially liked the 2 note left hand Shells. It's a great intro to lots of tunes until You master the 7 chords. I love my teacher, and I really enjoy your tutorials as well. With my teacher I have 1hour plus a few times a month. With your tutorials I can play them slower, over and over while practicing on the piano.
I really like your style! The road for beginners can be frustrating and uncertain at times. You're lessons make it possible for beginners to sound good playing tunes! Thanks for all that you share!!
thank you kent for the pieces studied they happen to be my favorites and so that makes it easy for me to learn and work almost every day (iam a beginner) i have made enormous progress thanks to you and the tunes you choose ; they are great, please carry on the good teaching!!!
Dear Mr. Hewitt, your lessons so far have the best. You teach us step by step with the top view of your hands and piano keys. You even pointed at particular fingers when moving from position II - V. I truly enjoyed learning and took notes from part 2 of Jazz beginner. However, I’d like to know if you sell your books volume I and II. I am interested in purchase it. Thanks
Hi Kent! I've been playing piano very casually and intermittently for the past ~20 years, but have never been serious about it and am still beginner to intermediate. In the last month I've gotten very interested in jazz piano for the first time. Found your videos yesterday and I love them! Such great explanations, and some good exercises to work on and I'm excited that I'm only on video 2 of this 6 part series! Thank you!
Hi JC, thanks for telling me your story. It's never too late to get into jazz piano...it will bring you a lot of joy if you stay with it. It does require work, but all your practicing will be like "money in the bank". That's what I've learned. Please follow my playlists for subjects that are most interesting to you. I started learning the types of 7th chords 3 weeks ago and i know them all now in 12 keys. I gotta practice on the 2-5-1s & their inversions. Thanks alot for your help 👍🏾🎹🎶
I'm so thankful for the day I received your invitation to subscribe to your channel. I was very intimidated at first but it's amazing how much I've learnt thus far. All that's needed is an open mind and a lot of practice. Thanks again.
So to recap: We have seven important chords to learn: Maj7 - min7 - 7 - min7b5 (or half dim) - min7bb7 (or full dim) - sus4 - sus2 Each has root and 3 inversions = 4 chord variations So, 7 chords x 4 = 28 variations multiplied by x 12 keys = total of 336 chord variation Oh boy !! this is a lot of work :))
You'll find answers to questions by going to my playlists and choosing a category. I'd stay w/ the Beginner Series to start. I don't think you have to learn all the chords and inversions in every key before getting into playing songs using the chords in a few easy keys like C, F, G, Bb, Eb to start. Thanks for the comment and please subscribe . th-cam.com/users/KentHewittpiano88playlists?view_as=subscriber
Kent, you are such a wonderful teacher. Having my fair share of crabby classical teachers, I am so happy I found you on TH-cam to start learning jazz. Thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us. I'll be buying your book as soon as I finishing typing this...
Kent, thanks for all that you do. I have just watched this again for the 5th or 6th time. I learn something every time I watch. Then when I go to the piano to apply what I have learned I grow even more. You are an amazing artist and teacher. Peace
Thanks, Chuck, for that great compliment...it will keep me going. Please check out my video on how to slow down and watch my videos here: th-cam.com/video/07Qlhd_-p0s/w-d-xo.html
Hi Kent! Just wanted to say, I'm picking up piano again as an adult after having taken a few lessons as a child, and your videos are amazing. In these first two beginner jazz videos I've already had several 'a-ha!' moments. Wish I would have watched these months ago.
I love this song. I've heard a few quartets and quintets play this as part of a London jazz gig including trumpeter Dick Pearce and others who've brought this lovely tune to us masses and its simple tune belies some complicated chords perhaps. To learn this tune alone will make investing completely in Kent Hewitt's book worthwhile for me. I shall be buying the downloaded version for fifty dollars which makes it around thirty eight English Pounds - those Christmas presents will have to wait :) Although I'm tempted to try to play the easier chords, I want to learn thoroughly and follow the comprehensive chord progressions shown. I thought I was doing well all those years ago when I was mastering the circle of fifths for my sax and clarinet but piano playing at this level is something I never realised I actually could perhaps not only want to do but perhaps could do to a competent level. So I'm happy to be one of your devoted followers Kent! By the way my cat is named Snowy on account of she's white and shouldn't go out in the sun too much - a bit like us jazz lovers!
Wow! You are such a great teacher, you build the student's interest by simplifying the subject matter, thereby inviting the student to more complicated chords with keen interest. I have enjoyed your simplicity and your focus to build the student's interest.
Finally, the inversions make sense .Thank you for showing this by giving your time, You are an amazing man. I have a lot of work, to do, and am grateful, for this experience.God Bless, take care. I will share someday. Richard B.
just watched this for second or third time over the last year. both your teaching and playing style are great, Kent. with time and daily practice, I'm getting this. looking forward to the book soon.

After many years on guitar and a few years on piano playing standards (and other genres of music) simply for the love of the songs, just to sing along to myself, I found myself in a bit of a rut. Decided to search up a bit of theory to kick me on to the next level and stumbled upon your videos. I feel like I've been invited into the magic circle. This is such an enormous and generous gift. Thank you. It's truly mesmerising. I feel my knowledge is being reinforced, augmented, unveiled, redressed, turned upside down, acknowledged and encouraged and when it gets too much I just sit back and watch in awe. One question - I know I can get a soft copy of your book from the UK but I'd like to get a hard copy if possible. Could you ship if I paid the extra shipping cost? Cheers.
Alan, I love this comment...and the idea of the "magic circle" This one will go into my archive of best all-time comments. Write to my email about the book request. kenthewitt@ hotmail.com Thanks so much!
Kent, your teachings are invaluable. I started learning your Guaraldi Christmas Time is Here lesson last season and am enjoying playing it so much this Christmas. Thank you for passing on your knowledge so openly and freely. I love your playing style. Thank you :D
that was another great lesson structural information from a professional musician and the professor kent what hold me back is Melody thanks to you I'm able to use more Improv scales licks and runs cannot say enough I have a better concept of music watching your lessons 🎼🎹
So much wisdom in a few minutes. Thank you very very much for sharing this to all beginners like me. The song is lovely sad and sweet. Would you please show a demo of Heart and Soul?
Jakatak I love going into the depths of these chords. You make it "easy" to understand and just as important fun and interesting to watch. I will need to listen to this lesson many many times, but look forward to it. Thanks for sharing your music with us all.
1 6 2 5..close together when we use economy of motion. Just some thoughts that have helped me. It helps to be aware of the enharmonic equivalent #s and flats. The bass player can play the actual bass note OR we can use slash chords if playing alone. Now if I go up chromatically.C Db OR C C# D ..I can choose to see the C# as the Major 3rd of A dominant type chords. We could play (C# E G A) basically (3 5 b7 Root A). So that takes care of the 6 chord. Also seeing the C# as as a Db lets me see the chord (DbG A) as a C13b9. b9 of C being Db. This could easily turn into other altered chords. One other thing..the next chord could be a Dmin7 ( D F A C) or a G7 (D F G B)..
Thank you for the second video! A year's worth of study for me and invaluable! The way you break things down makes it very understandable for me! Thanks again!

Thanks for a great comment, Aaron, that is so helpful to me, to know that I can inspire you at a time when you can strive for it.
Such a wonderful comment...makes me feel great ...that I can help you to enjoy your music more. God bless!
Thanks, Paul, that's very affirming to me. I'm glad that my lessons are helpful and I encourage you to keep "at it".
Excellent.
I appreciate your comment and hope you will share my videos. I suggest you watch my Beginner Series videos in order. Great video Kent. Learned more theory in 30 minutes than in 8 years of piano playing. Godspeed and thank you.
That's awesome
Thank you very much, Kent Hewitt for so generously sharing your abundant knowledge and skill. Very much appreciated!
You are very welcome
Thanks Donald, that's a very complimentary comment. All feedback is helpful to me to know if I'm on right track. So thanks for taking the time.

Thanks Shirley...I'm glad to help out. Check out my playlists for categories that will help you the most:

I really appreciate that...DJ. You honor me with you words!
Another masterpiece! Thank you so much! You are a blessed teacher.
Wow, that's a pretty generous compliment and helpful....I'll take it and wish you many blessings!
Great vidéo full of precious informations Thanks again and again !Et le beret basque vous va très bien !
Many thanks.
Distilled into this series is just the right amount of vocabulary for a beginner coming from guitar. Unbelievably helpful, the perfect blend.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment and affirmation...keeps me going!
Kent
Thank you for your life.
I appreciate that very much!
Probably the greatest jazz player and teacher today
Whom might that be?
I can already tell this will be a video I'll watch again and again until I know it by heart, thanks!
Try the option to slow down the video by clicking on the settings button in lower right. You have to do it while the video is running or it doesn't work.
Kent Hewitt you're so brilliant!!
God bless you for that comment!
Un beau cadeaux pour la fête du thanksgiving . Merci
A nice gift for the thanksgiving . Tk from Montréal.
Thank you a million for telling me, Richard, now you are my hero!
I love the addition of swing rhythm to the simplified version at the end of the video. The whole tutorial is very useful: it gives me the emotional motivation to practice (very important) and a guide on what to practice (equally important). I'm using it daily. Thank you, Kent!
Thanks for the detailed comment...that is helpful to me.!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving... I sure am grateful for the ways your book and instructional videos have enhanced my musical understanding. Thanks, Kent, for being so generous with your time and knowledge!
I am thankful and grateful to have the gift of music everyday and be able to share in this and in many other ways.
Thanks, Dawn, for your support and great feedback...that's what I truly need to keep going!
dear Kent, THANK YOU so MUCH!!!!!!!!!! Your lessons make me happy about learning and understanding jazz theory!!! GOD BLESS YOU and YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!
God bless you too!!!
Dear kent. These lessons are an amazing service. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to produce the videos. From experience I know is isn't easy.
Yes, it's not easy. But anything one does that requires study and hard work, will reap benefits...and my rewards are plentiful.
Hello Kent! Thanks a Lot...Your classes are Of great excellence.
Hugs from Brazil.
Many thanks, from Brazil....I appreciate the comment!
Love the meaty instruction. Not all that slow talking. A lot in 30 mins! Keep up the great work!
I'm glad my pace works well for you...that's good feedback...thanks!
@@KentHewittpiano88 even for a Dutchman like i am, it's paced well
God bless you sir. This video helped me so much. I can't even express my gratitude in proper words. Большое спасибо!! Thank you!!
You are most welcome
Ken - this is probably the most import fundamental tutorial for those starting out learning to play the piano and understanding chord tones and their values and how they apply to melodies. - Bravo!
Thanks for the great affirmation...I'm very grateful to know that I'm not wasting time w/ this.
Your videos are very inspiring. After almost every video I find myself at my keys doing the same chord progressions I saw you do.
I appreciate your telling me that my videos are beneficial!
I'm glad you have a good teacher, that is the best way to learn. I appreciate your telling me that my videos help also.
Really great class... Thanks! Greetings from Brazil!
You are welcome!
I really like your style! The road for beginners can be frustrating and uncertain at times. You're lessons make it possible for beginners to sound good playing tunes! Thanks for all that you share!!
Thanks for the comment...I'm not usually good w/ beginners , so that gives me hope.
thank you kent for the pieces studied they happen to be my favorites and so that makes it easy for me to learn and work almost every day (iam a beginner) i have made enormous progress thanks to you and the tunes you choose ; they are great, please carry on the good teaching!!!
Thank you for such a nice and affirming comment...that keeps me going. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate the things you do so much indeed.
Thank you!
Thanks
Many thanks! My book is companion to my videos, and is great for beginner jazz. Go to my website to purchase.
Wanting to learn jazz on my guitar, good thing i discovered your channel. Thank you for teaching us how jazz works.
Welcome!
Go here:

I started learning the types of 7th chords 3 weeks ago and i know them all now in 12 keys. I gotta practice on the 2-5-1s & their inversions.
Thanks alot for your help 👍🏾🎹🎶
Drills are good but applying the exercises and theory to songs completes the process. Thanks!
Kent Hewitt you inspiring me to work hard to play jazz 👍🏾
As a new disciple of Kent Hewitt, I'm shouting Hallelujah from the roof top!
Up on the roof is the best view.... so I'll say...thank you from the bottom and top of my heart!
Thanks for your highly instructive videos. You have inspired me to continue my piano playing in new directions.
Thanks, Mark, that's a great affirmation for me...all the best in your new directions. KH
I'm so thankful for the day I received your invitation to subscribe to your channel. I was very intimidated at first but it's amazing how much I've learnt thus far. All that's needed is an open mind and a lot of practice. Thanks again.
Thanks for the wise words and for supporting me. I'm grateful when someone tells me they have benefited from my lessons.
kent is so cool, generous, kind, right on, helpful, creative, heart of gold....
Best comment of the week...swing loose, my buddy and friend!
So to recap:
We have seven important chords to learn: Maj7 - min7 - 7 - min7b5 (or half dim) - min7bb7 (or full dim) - sus4 - sus2
Each has root and 3 inversions = 4 chord variations
So, 7 chords x 4 = 28 variations multiplied by x 12 keys = total of 336 chord variation
Oh boy !! this is a lot of work :))
Playing is beautiful, explanations are inspiring. Thank you!
Thanks.... Karen, taking the time to acknowledged is very much appreciated ...truly!
Kent, you are such a wonderful teacher. Having my fair share of crabby classical teachers, I am so happy I found you on TH-cam to start learning jazz. Thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us. I'll be buying your book as soon as I finishing typing this...
Hi Andy, thanks so much...that's really helpful to me! Please keep watching and write to me anytime.
I'm glad I could help out and bring out the a-ha moments!
Thank you for your generosity in sharing your experience, vast knowledge and time. Excellent videos.
I'm grateful to be able to do this and particularly when I hear from someone like you. Thank you!
Love listening to you! You're great at teaching, and making things clear as to what you are doing. " That's All" is one of my favorites.
Thanks Carol, that is a great affirmation and encouragement. Best wishes to you!
I shall be buying the downloaded version for fifty dollars which makes it around thirty eight English Pounds - those Christmas presents will have to wait :)
Although I'm tempted to try to play the easier chords, I want to learn thoroughly and follow the comprehensive chord progressions shown.
Thanks so much, David...I hope you will enjoy my book for many years. Swing loose!
Thanks Kent. Great lesson and 'That's All' is so much fun to play.
I'm glad you told me. I like that song very much, and it's relatively easy to learn, that's why I chose it for this series.
Watching again because, you are the best Kent. thank you!
Appreciated!
Excellent shearing thanks and God bless you
I'm really enjoying playing this piece of music and learning so much.
Thanks for the comment and support!
Kent Hewitt But the part where the hands cross is really difficult and rough on the wrist and fingers
Kent Hewitt you're welcome btw
Wow! You are such a great teacher, you build the student's interest by simplifying the subject matter, thereby inviting the student to more complicated chords with keen interest. I have enjoyed your simplicity and your focus to build the student's interest.
That's a great comment, and perceptive and helpful to me, to keep going. Thanks, William!
a very good teacher... thank you!
Thanks!
Great videos, I'm so glad that I stumbled upon your channel.
Welcome...I'm glad too!
Finally, the inversions make sense .Thank you for showing this by giving your time, You are an amazing man. I have a lot of work, to do, and am grateful, for this experience.God Bless, take care. I will share someday. Richard B.
Thank you for the kind words. This keeps me going. Wishing you all the best in your music studies.

Amazing lesson! loved just listening to you play near the end! :)
Me too. That's how I want to play.
Cheers.

I love going into the depths of these chords. You make it "easy" to understand and just as important fun and interesting to watch. I will need to listen to this lesson many many times, but look forward to it. Thanks for sharing your music with us all.
That's a great comment, and helpful to me...thanks!
I'm sure you're aware your name can be read as Ken the witt! The extra t doesn't diminish the idea!! Great tutorial, loved it!!!
Thanks...I've been called that before!
1 6 2 5..close together when we use economy of motion. Just some thoughts that have helped me. It helps to be aware of the enharmonic equivalent #s and flats. The bass player can play the actual bass note OR we can use slash chords if playing alone. Now
if I go up chromatically.C Db OR
C C# D ..I can choose to see the C# as the Major 3rd of A dominant type chords.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL THE TIME (for this wonderful share) ..stay safe and healthy "Mr.Kent" : )
Many, many, thanks and God bless!
Thank you for the second video! A year's worth of study for me and invaluable! The way you break things down makes it very understandable for me! Thanks again!
