Daytona Beach is known for its beaches, nightlife and Daytona International Speedway. The city is home of the Bethune Cookman Wildcats and the historic black college. The view is very nice and there are a lot of places that people would love to visit.
The first 7 minutes is a perfect example of what it looks like driving through most highways in the southern states. Whether it's Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama... if you were unknowingly dropped off on a random highway in these states, you might not know which state you're in.
I also enjoy this ride into Daytona coming from Deland...some people drive this way too fast however...the city has been doing work on this road on the east side making it the worst drive in the history of the world...in my opinion. If you value the suspension on your vehicle, do not travel east of the Halifax river.
What I find very funny is that pretty much every place is still the same after 40 years.Yes, they've been updated.Buildings and some buildings have been added but for the most part most buildings are still the same like they were in the early eighties when I was there literally to the T. I can see that Is the u haul center hasn't changed. Of course the new bridge to the beach side is nice Next time slow it down though you went entirely too fast.
