Classic Redittors literally on week 1 of Classic just decided that no, no one deserves boe epics by class, all are entitled to need because they need the gold the item worth more, than the character in question needing the item to progress....
Oh and they also decided it's "OUR LOCKED CHEST LOOT" so rogues must hand over for rolling the contents of any chest they pick....
Hope you didn't run much into that brainrot after these years. Back then it was absolute cancer.
@Narukami9333 I think as long as people are reasonable with loot they need, even week 1, it's more worth it to give it to the class instead of just trying to make gold off it. A lot of people have been in the mindset of playing the game solo to just finish their character and not care about helping other people that have previously helped them. The thing that made the game good in the first place was the community you worked together with, not the credit card people use to buy their items now. It's an instant gratification problem.

I remember in 2005 or 2006 in BRD with a group of 5 we had 2 epics dropping, a ring and a staff. I still have goose bump thinking of that 😊

I found staff of Jordan off a Ape in the jungle of strangle thorn valley on classic release 3 years ago was a great way to start the new wow release of classic

My first ever boe epic was a dwarven hand cannon and I was able to get over the hump to get epic ground mount because of it. Man, that was a good day
Similar thing happened for the non epic mount. I was opening up clams and came across the golden pearl (I think that's what its called). Looks it up on the AH and I sold it for like 50g 😂
These dropped for me on two characters (cloth and mail) and had no problems selling it for insane gold back in the day
My first boe epic ever has been a staff of jordan in OG Vanilla in 2006, which dropped in scarlet monastery. In classic 2019 i was so damn lucky, i got 2 pair of edgemasters, one while helping out a friend through Jintha Alor elites, 2nd one while farming elemental water in feralas. On top of that, got a myrmidons signet while solo farming LBRS with my rogue for the mage pattern. Maybe i shouldve started to play the lottery.

Back during TBC, I was pickpocketing Ogres in Nagrand to level up my lockpock skills because you get lockboxes from them. I could not believe I opened an epic BOE Thrown wep, "Spinesever"
I won a roll for Hand of Edward the Odd in Alterac Valley shortly after reaching 60. The chances of that are astronomically small but the gold was massive on a fresh 60.
On my leveling journey in SoD so far I’ve seen the Bow of Searring Arrows drop , the Flurry Axe ( which I won the roll on and am currently trying to sell ) and another purple I can’t really remember , think it was a random chest piece or a shield . . Definitely a great feeling , even when a blue drops I’m like 😯😯😬😬
I remember when the bow of searing arrows dropped in tanaris. Was my first epic, truly memorable 🎉

I had assassination blade drop for me back in the day on retail. Funded several characters after that.
it is, I got freezing band on burning steeps once.. it was awesome

Man classic was such a rush when it first came out, I remember freaking the fuck out when I was grinding solo and got the Edgemasters Handgaurds
got them too in brd few first mobs and won the roll even before 60. Cash for mount was history😂❤
First epic I ever found was a nightblade (I think it was called that anyway) questing in Tenaris. Ah it felt good. It was a 2H sword and I played rogue so I sold it, but man I got some good gear with that gold. I was dueling level 60s at 45-50 and dominating.

I only had one epic drop and I did 300+ Mara pulls frequently back in classic

i found a epic good ring in sunken temple but out, 14 stamina and a active 1000 amor
My best find was on tbc. It was my first play through. Fighting random scarlet crusade mobs. Found 2 crusader enchant recipes 1 after another. Didn’t think they were rare or anything so learnt 1 and gave the other to my friend. Come to find out it was selling for 400g and I had about 2 gold lol

For me it was staff of jordan and the one designed to be the agi equivalent of staff of jordan :P

I had a Staff of Jordan and Fiery War Axe drop in the same SM Cath run. I LITERALLY tied on both of them, yet didn’t win either of them. Moral of the story: don’t click need first.

Mp5 for paladins.. I didn't play paladin until bc but I'm sure it wasn't a complete waste
@anthonyseveri9652 Paladins in Vanilla receive mana every time they are being healed by an ally. So, for Holy Paladins for example you do need Spirit, but you can get that from wearing full cloth armor, Prot gets mana from being healed and Ret is non existing in Vanilla so don't need to care about them xD

WoW is dead and for good reason. Been playing a month now and the ability to earn silver or gold is very very bad. Lvl 22 paladin “gold farming” over here for FIVE HOURS and realized I only earned 50 silver. I also just realized I need to train from pally trainer, which will wipe out my massive fortune of 3 gold, which I was saving for that 100 gold mount, AFTER I buy the 20 gold riding skill. In total 120 gold is needed. And o have only 3 which will be wiped out after the trainer. This game is really really bad and that explains the horridly low population. I’ll never return to another blizzard game ever again. This is ridiculous.

Getting an epic drop feels pretty good regardless and these went to a buddy of mine
Then you realise they are wank and worth nothing. Got two of them to drop and made 180 gold. Did a day of large venom sack farming and made 1.1k
Made this short when unofficial hardcore was happening. Only had about 20 people at 60 on the horse so it was pretty useful for one of our tanks
