Every video fra Ujie-san is greatly appreciated. His demo videos for the Motif XF helped me decide to buy the Motif XF6 a few weeks ago. I love his old analog synth demos too. Don't care if he speaks japanese, he is very good at showing what he's doing. But i've heard him speak english in some Yamaha promotion videos too. I guess japanese is most natural for him.

I agree that SY85 was a bit of an uninspiring instrument, but I wouldn't say that '90s or even '80s digital effects were crappy, I guess you haven't heard SPX1000 equiped SY99. SY77 and SY99 were fabulous machines. Nothing (aside from VL-series) to this day impressed me more from Yamaha than SY77 and SY99.
I just checked a video of what a Yamaha SY85 sounded like compared to this and the MOX6 totally blows it out of the water. And the reason why a SY85 costs a fraction of the price is because it's really old. Do you just not like this keyboard for some reason? I find myself just like not liking things for no good reason other than not feeling comfortable with them. I can't explain it.
The yamaha is a paste. Sounds like a vst, filters are toys, toy sound. Dedicated arp is the best you have and some batteries, the rest is a lie. The control cubase is also very good. The Krome is the same size but with fatter sound .. I like more .. I sold the two keyboards and am now a happy owner of a Kurzweil PC3K!
