    Thanks geordiarose16 I absolutely love the way you teach guitar n the songs u choose to teach. I'm very much a beginner guitar player n lose it altogether when I try sing n play together but I'm sure it will come with practice? But thanks again for ur tutorials. I used to be an electronic underground DJ n on the B side of personal jesus there is the acoustic version which I loved so much and am having real fun now learning it on guitar because of you 😎 and the attention I get as soon as I attempt to play it is amazing from any of my friends who hear me play it quietly in the corner of the room. But I can't wait to be able to both play n sing it 1 day for some fun with friends, and anyone I know who plays guitar ask straight away how the hell do u play that?? Ha ha especially with the little intro at the start of the song. Makes me seem a lot better than I actually am. Great Craic altogether 🇨🇮🤘🇬🇧

    Does not come up good on acoustic: Comes up frickin' GREAT!! The vox also great! Excellent tonal take on this acoustically. Awesome song to add in an Eighties set: Unexpected, sounds hard plays easy, iconic alt-charter! Thank you for talking the time! ROKKON! \m/

    Another great video. Can i suggest you tell people to use their ears regarding strumming patterns. Its a great exercise. Not to sound mean. Its a great trick to practice.

    • @AshtrayAnnie
      @AshtrayAnnie 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Strumming patterns don't matter all that much,it's about timing. Tons of cover artists don't use the same patterns as the original artist and can still get the same sound. Take 'led zeppelin-whole lotta love' for example,almost every cover band that play this song use all down strokes, jimmy page alternate picks the riff,

    • @gothknight6
      @gothknight6 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree but you do get a lot of people asking and it can be very difficult when you do it naturally without really thinking about the up's and downs :)

    • @TheHongKongHermit
      @TheHongKongHermit 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The best beginner advice I got from both Pete and Justinguitar was that at some point you just need to "feel" the strum, and not try and slavishly imitate it. I'm a fairly rubbish guitar player, but the one thing I'm confident about is my strumming precisely because I just play whatever feels right over the chords. I really do think that as early as possible we need to stop asking for strumming patterns and just start moving our hand and see what comes out naturally.

    • @sammyslam1
      @sammyslam1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Strumming pattern imitation can make you overly stiff and robotic as a player, especially if you accompany yourself on vocals.
      It's okay if you accompany someone else and they are singing but even then, you are not getting a feel for how your singer enjoys singing but rather locking them into a structure and hindering their natural creativity...
      It's better to use the chords or the tutorial you are using a base.
      From there creatw your own version and even play with changing tempo and key...
      Make it your own...
      I play this completely different on acoustic guitar....
