I would say that the Zodiac Killer whoever he was has already passed away by now and has probably been gone from this world for quite some time. But is he is still alive he would be 80+ years by now and there is always the slim possibility of a deathbed confession. I'd be amazed if that were to ever happen, for as he would say "why spoil the game"?

This came up in my TH-cam. I’ve always been fascinated by this. By the way I was an actor in Fincher movie and an extra. Both as I was bumped up. Was on those sets about 20 days. Also my family lives in Pacific Heights and I have checked out many of the locations around there: the cab location, the park location where he escaped after walking right by the cops. The reason I started this message is because I remember reading about some guy from Brooklyn who may have killed that girl in South Lake Tahoe and I remember going into that rabbit hole for a few days, a few years ago. On some Zodiac site I remember it said he wasn’t the guy. Best to you!
P.s. I just spent an hour looking at that Brooklyn guy Kane. He was definitely a bad dude. I think he was a part of the Zodiac “team” or “cult” as it may have been a bunch of people doing things. Kane coming from Brooklyn makes him my number 1. Was married to the #1 hit maker of 1950 (remarkable) she dumped him (makes me think of Bundy, good looking guy rejected by a woman he wanted set him loose.) and he would never have it so good.
He doesn't really address the question of whether the crimes themselves could be unrelated. Instead it sounds like he's responding to whether he thinks a journalist at the Chronicle could've been the killer. My theory: Killing people turned out to be too hard, and didn't bring the killer the satisfaction/enjoyment he thought it would. (Two out of his first half-dozen victims survived, after all, and the lady with her baby got away from him as well) So he decided to just keep writing letters taking credit for random crimes. When the cops and media stopped paying attention, he tapered off.

Reddit is just plain garbage. Plesse let me tell you what i found by accident. I hit the wrong keys one day before I left. They have your internal id number. Someway they are capturing your emails. What they had on me, was everything zodiac captured and sorted in alphabetical order. I did ask Edward Snowden on Twitter about it, and he told me always stay away from Reddit. This case is actually one of the easiest cases to solve once you understand the simple key to solving it. The Zodiac killer walked away from his last murder, killing a cab driver in the Presidio Heights neighborhood. He was last seen by a police officer named Don Fouke. Zodiac faked him out and misdirected Fouke to go search in no-man's-land. Ok, this gave Zodiac about a 2 minute window to vanish into thin air. Where did he go? Remember that he was walking away from the crime scene. SFPD are swarming towards the scene from all directions. For nearly 40 year's officer Fouke lied and said he last saw Zodiac go down to the Presidio Park. In 2007 he admitted that he actually last saw Zodiac going up the steps of 3---- Jackson Street. The 7 dogs that searched the Presidio Park never picked up a scent. Well no wonder, Fouke finally admitted that he never saw Zodiac going to the Presidio Park. Ok now at this point you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out how to solve this crime. Simply start at the address Fouke mentioned 3---- Jackson Street and simply go house to house and "canvas the Presidio Heights neighborhood (research everyone who lived in the area) well guess what, NOBODY ever did. I was the first person to ever "canvas " house to house to house in a systematic & methodical way. Well I knew Zodiac had to get behind closed doors -and fast. So he couldn't have gone too far, remember he's walking. Okay well across the street from the last known sighting of the Zodiac, is a man named John Parr Cox. I have this guy - John Parr Cox on tape discussing how - just like the Zodiac killer - he too would walk up to kids in parked cars with his gun, and they would think he was a police officer. Well the Zodiac killer walked up to kids in parked cars with his gun and they thought he was a police officer - the exact same M.O. Also John Parr Cox's handwriting is identical to the Zodiac killers. He even was at the intersection of Mason and Geary the very night Zodiac was picked up there. That was honestly him Adam. The Zodiac killer. I heard they questioned him anyway, and let him go. When Cheri was first killed someone did turn him in. He was brought in for questioning and they gave him a handwriting test. He aced it, but then again he writes two ways. When i first found him, his name was in the FBI archives as a potential suspect. The FBI removed that page when they finally listened and knew he wasnt cleared. They did listen later that day. . he got away from them not once, but TWO TIMES. i KID YOU NOT. His police reports probably still exist, but not the page in the FBI archives. I did a little test. I posted his picture in a zodiac site yesterday. NOT ONE PERSON KNEW WHO HE WAS. My father, a GS 11 at the Presidio was given Zodiac stuff to decode. He worked on it at home while the TV was showing ball games. He worked communications at Headquarters for his second twenty years, having retired active duty in the late 1970's. Born in 1907.
The zodiac ciphers are super easy to solve. Get a file that allows special characters to go in google translator, drag and drop the word phrase or line. Let translator detect language, press enter. The answer is on right and it will be automatically correct. They aent ciphers, he could not do that. Yep, that is all there is to the translations. you dont decipher anything. It takes about an hour to do them all. I turned in mine and they sent me Don Olsens address for approval. They were approved. His name was in Z340 and Z408. Did he know Chester? He was working there in 70's for 3 L. He worked with radar. He was an advanced weaponry specialist. Only 4 lines of Z340 were done, you will need to do those lines over because they are incorrect, then lines 5-20 has never been seen by the public. It is Zodiacs personal information. Remember Red Drawer, thats where the killing stuff was, and you will know then I solved them. Law enforcement has them. If you dont want to solve, send to an arabic translation company. Z was fluent in 3 languages.
Interesting video, love it. Thank you for sharing....but serial killers do stop cold turkey, in my opinion. BTK did it, and so did the Golden State killer. They might not have stopped taunting, but they didn't have any further killings.

My personal theory is that of the top 3 FBI suspects, all of them committed at least one of the murders. Claiming credit for kills he didnt do fits the psychologist profile as the FBI BSU profile says that the main factor was "proving his intellectual superiority to compinsate for an inferiority complex" I think Laurence Kane, Aurthur Lee and Jack Tarrance are all likley to hage commited one of the murders at least. For me the question is how the kills are divided between these suspecys
I really find the people that keep trying to link all the murders of serial killers to just one person or group annoying. No, the Manson family isn't responsible for every unsolved thrill-seeking murder in California in the late 60's and 70's. Whoever the Zodiac is/was, you probably haven't heard of him before unless it's one of the main suspects the FBI were following back during the time these crimes occurred. He was definitely a loner in his 30's or 40's, and he probably wasn't in the best of shape. I assume he was of above average intelligence but never really did anything meaningful with his life. Probably drank a lot and was extremely resentful of young couples since there is a good chance he wasn't in any long-term relationship or had much romantic success himself. The anger was focused primarily on the women; I don't think it's just that they made easier targets, I think he was resentful he couldn't find a date of his own so these murders were a way of 'taking back power' from those who have denied him in the past and who he probably blamed for lowering his sense of self-worth. He was also probably for the most part estranged from his family apart from some holiday get-together's perhaps, and probably didn't have many friends at work. Arthur Leigh Allen, in terms of physical and character description still seems like the closest guy to match the profile of the Zodiac. He was a semi-criminal, semi-recluse social deviant that lived in his mothers basement until he moved out into a trailer park. He died of a heart attack in 1991 and I feel even if he wasn't the Zodiac, then whomever was probably shared a similar fate dying in their 50's or 60's after a life of loneliness and excessive drinking, eating and smoking.

I was in the 6th Grade in San Francisco during the Zodiac killings and rode a school bus. He threatened to attack a school bus and "Just shoot out the front tires and then pick off the kiddies as they come bouncing out". We were told to lay on the bus floor if anything happened and the driver was to just keep moving and not to stop. Crazy time.

Here is as much as I will say without being prejudice to my own work. Oranchak’s mathematical guy said he found a pattern that picked lines or letters at a skip of 1/2 2/3 3/4 etc. Which means he extracted an embedded code at best. The Zodiac did have multiple levels of coding, so that is possible. If in fact that extracted code was truly a substitution transposed cipher and by some means Oranchak found the ‘key’ - He did not, repeat did not solve the z340 cipher. The z340 cipher is a plain text cipher in English, with truncated words, abbreviations, anagrams, acronyms and Morse code, that code in all directions with each line depending on the intersecting lines to complete the phrases and the complete message. It is not a substitution with a ‘key’ and the few characters that are transposed as to position are ‘reversed’ to indicate a position replacement or other characters direct the reader to the application direction , so as to not transpose characters. His solution adds absolutely nothing on the planet earth to the case. So in the end it’s irrelevant.. Lastly, a code or cryptology is what the code maker wants it to be - what ‘error’ did you find and where did you get a direction to randomly remove text to complete the result that just seems to appeal to you versus having that ‘rightness’ you feel when decoding is done accurately? Excellent video, sir! I agree with getting the info out there. Kaczynski is a perfect example (and being Polish-American as well, we don’t claim him) but I’ve heard people seriously criticize True Crime podcasts, CrimeCon, etc but I see them as modern day America’s Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries, among others. If it wasn’t for Most Wanted, John List would have never come to justice. 25 years later, and 2,000 miles from where it took place. When it comes to newspapers printing thing at the request of the killer, they can only give themselves away. BTK was foiled by new technology he didn’t thoroughly understand. If you guys print his stuff, he’ll probably continue making contact, and at some point he’ll slip up. Not just Zodiac, but any criminal. I think the good you make possible far outweighs any bad.
I found his name, it was in Z340 and Z408, it has been gived to the FBI and editor of SF chronicle with proof. HE WAS THE FIRST TEEN SERIAL KILLER. DNA was a match. Based upon the 2007 Zodiac movie: I think the Zodiac was possibly two people. One who wrote the letters (left handed as a right handed person ambidextrously), and another who was a murderer. I think that is why the suspect's hand writing never match the Zodiac's hand writing. And the Zodiac's murders were possibly two people wanting to try to outsmart the judicial system, and wanting to hurt other people. I hope this can help in some way. I think the people who focus on the Zodiac (except Police Officials) relish in the darkness with life stupidly. I hope for justice for those who where affected. And I hope we go on too with life.

The killing stuff was always kept in a Red Drawer and that is towards the bottom of Z340 in the 16 lines never solved on TV. He also bitched about the atmosphere, he mentioned Black Panthera, he said "My worst enemy is G" he said execution or life in prison, there is much more. He is bitching about many different things. Ok, the identity is found like this: You go to right fist, his name is towards the top, first letter of last name only (full name is in Z408) , now you go out to the middle, you pick randomly, you wind like a snake, you then go clear to the bottom picking letters, it will look like a sine wave. Its plain English First letter will be in the four lines David supposedly solved. He didnt solve Z340.

You realize that 4 lines was only solved right ?? Z340 has 20. I did the remaining 16 lines and told David what they were. EVERY so called cipher is an offshoot of the arabic language in a rare format. Put the word or whole line including special char into google translator and see what you get. The name found in two so called ciphers matched up to the "edited by" on the front of Lady of Doom. Its one reissue, and that was the thing that was different between them all. Thats why he was putting the words he said in an X
I have a theory about D. B. Cooper. The reason it’s been so hard to find evidence on him is 1. He never existed and 2. No one ever jumped out of the plane .. The only thing better than having a bomb and high-jacking a plane for ransom and then jumping out of it - is to make people believe that is what happened..

There are similarities between Zodiac and BTK, but motive is different. Zodiac´s murders are not driven by obvious sexual deviation as in case of BTK and also his m.o was very different. Plus AFAIK BTK was confirmed to be somewhere else (at the time of murders I think he was in army), than where Zodiac crimes were commited.
By the way, from known serial killers who really were active in SF area at that period, I always thought Traillside Killer was fairly good suspect for Zodiac (despite the fact that his motive was also sexual deviation, which is not the case of Zodiac) - he actually was suspect for Zodiac, but he was in jail at the time of first December murder.
Hi Kevin. I reached out to you several years ago on a candidate. I have continued to research him and I can tell you with absolute certainty that he checks every box on the Zodiac crimes. There is no angle from which he does not answer. IF there is ever the possibility of a sleuth coming along and presenting a legitimate case for who the Zodiac Killer is, this has to be the one. I should have been able to rule him out. There is a wealth of material available on this individual. It should have been easy to rule him out. Yet nothing has been found that enables me to do so. When I spoke with you, you rejected this individual as a potential suspect out of hand though you said you could be wrong. This is not a criticism because I fully appreciate your position here and it was a logical response on your part. So he remains, not only a viable and compelling candidate, but an absolute gold standard prototype for who the Zodiac Killer was.

1.) I am actually quite optimistic and I think that Zodiac case will be solved in next 10 - 15 years..... and AI will probably help too. 2.) I have no idea who Zodiac killer was, but I think that police and armed forces should search in their archives from 50s or early 60s. Zodiac clearly had something to do with armed forces (regarding recent rumours - I do NOT think it was Hoffman) and it was someone who failed to join armed forces or was fired / left with shame..... He did he did, what he was copying was his uncles pulp murders, he wrote mostly for Black ace, and Black Mask and he worked for Stan Lee also, he was an editor for one reissue of Lady of Doom. Translator will tell you the answers or an arabic translation co. You will know his name by Z340 and Z408. Its right there.
I always got the same idea that that collecting slaves was just bs. I'm not sure why he talked about it but I have NEVER believed he actually believes that. About that personal connection part with one of the victims I don't think so but it's totally possible. That would also explain why he seemingly stopped but there are countless other possible reason for that I think it's importart to remember that intially police investigated the crimes just like any homicides by trying to figure out who would want to kill those teens. That's how you find suspicious people etc who had nothing to do with the killing. The idea that Zodiac knew one of the victims does deserve some more investigating but at this point I don't believe so. Military connection of some type seems very possible. Letters should be looked gor physical evidence like DNA and they have at least palm print from one of them. I also believe Zodiac was clever enough to create false leads in his letters so everything he says should be taken with grain of salt however I do think he might have slipped something about himself for example when he mentioned having basement in one of those letters. Even that could be intentional false clue but one thing Z340 solution proved Zodiac does sometimes give hints. He used almost identical wording in his later letters the frase "I hope you are having" and the fact he used diaconal writing on envelopes including the one Z340 was sent in. So I wonder if he give some other real hints aswell.

Jack the Ripper was Charles Allen Lechmere (the guy who was found at the scene of Polly Nichols murder). QC James Scobie says the case against him is strong enough for a modern murder trial. Never give up, I guess.

I would say that the Zodiac Killer whoever he was has already passed away by now and has probably been gone from this world for quite some time. But is he is still alive he would be 80+ years by now and there is always the slim possibility of a deathbed confession. I'd be amazed if that were to ever happen, for as he would say "why spoil the game"?

This came up in my TH-cam. I’ve always been fascinated by this. By the way I was an actor in Fincher movie and an extra. Both as I was bumped up. Was on those sets about 20 days. Also my family lives in Pacific Heights and I have checked out many of the locations around there: the cab location, the park location where he escaped after walking right by the cops. The reason I started this message is because I remember reading about some guy from Brooklyn who may have killed that girl in South Lake Tahoe and I remember going into that rabbit hole for a few days, a few years ago. On some Zodiac site I remember it said he wasn’t the guy. Best to you!

He doesn't really address the question of whether the crimes themselves could be unrelated. Instead it sounds like he's responding to whether he thinks a journalist at the Chronicle could've been the killer.
My theory: Killing people turned out to be too hard, and didn't bring the killer the satisfaction/enjoyment he thought it would. (Two out of his first half-dozen victims survived, after all, and the lady with her baby got away from him as well) So he decided to just keep writing letters taking credit for random crimes. When the cops and media stopped paying attention, he tapered off.

This case is actually one of the easiest cases to solve once you understand the simple key to solving it. The Zodiac killer walked away from his last murder, killing a cab driver in the Presidio Heights neighborhood. He was last seen by a police officer named Don Fouke. Zodiac faked him out and misdirected Fouke to go search in no-man's-land. Ok, this gave Zodiac about a 2 minute window to vanish into thin air. Where did he go? Remember that he was walking away from the crime scene. SFPD are swarming towards the scene from all directions. For nearly 40 year's officer Fouke lied and said he last saw Zodiac go down to the Presidio Park. In 2007 he admitted that he actually last saw Zodiac going up the steps of 3---- Jackson Street. The 7 dogs that searched the Presidio Park never picked up a scent. Well no wonder, Fouke finally admitted that he never saw Zodiac going to the Presidio Park. Ok now at this point you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out how to solve this crime. Simply start at the address Fouke mentioned 3---- Jackson Street and simply go house to house and "canvas the Presidio Heights neighborhood (research everyone who lived in the area) well guess what, NOBODY ever did. I was the first person to ever "canvas " house to house to house in a systematic & methodical way. Well I knew Zodiac had to get behind closed doors -and fast. So he couldn't have gone too far, remember he's walking. Okay well across the street from the last known sighting of the Zodiac, is a man named John Parr Cox. I have this guy - John Parr Cox on tape discussing how - just like the Zodiac killer - he too would walk up to kids in parked cars with his gun, and they would think he was a police officer. Well the Zodiac killer walked up to kids in parked cars with his gun and they thought he was a police officer - the exact same M.O. Also John Parr Cox's handwriting is identical to the Zodiac killers. He even was at the intersection of Mason and Geary the very night Zodiac was picked up there. The zodiac ciphers are super easy to solve. Get a file that allows special characters to go in google translator, drag and drop the word phrase or line. Let translator detect language, press enter. The answer is on right and it will be automatically correct. They aent ciphers, he could not do that. Yep, that is all there is to the translations. you dont decipher anything. It takes about an hour to do them all. I turned in mine and they sent me Don Olsens address for approval. They were approved. His name was in Z340 and Z408. Did he know Chester? He was working there in 70's for 3 L. He worked with radar. He was an advanced weaponry specialist. Only 4 lines of Z340 were done, you will need to do those lines over because they are incorrect, then lines 5-20 has never been seen by the public. It is Zodiacs personal information. Remember Red Drawer, thats where the killing stuff was, and you will know then I solved them. Law enforcement has them. If you dont want to solve, send to an arabic translation company. Z was fluent in 3 languages.

My personal theory is that of the top 3 FBI suspects, all of them committed at least one of the murders.
Claiming credit for kills he didnt do fits the psychologist profile as the FBI BSU profile says that the main factor was "proving his intellectual superiority to compinsate for an inferiority complex"
I think Laurence Kane, Aurthur Lee and Jack Tarrance are all likley to hage commited one of the murders at least.

I really find the people that keep trying to link all the murders of serial killers to just one person or group annoying. No, the Manson family isn't responsible for every unsolved thrill-seeking murder in California in the late 60's and 70's. Whoever the Zodiac is/was, you probably haven't heard of him before unless it's one of the main suspects the FBI were following back during the time these crimes occurred. He was definitely a loner in his 30's or 40's, and he probably wasn't in the best of shape. I assume he was of above average intelligence but never really did anything meaningful with his life. Probably drank a lot and was extremely resentful of young couples since there is a good chance he wasn't in any long-term relationship or had much romantic success himself. The anger was focused primarily on the women; I don't think it's just that they made easier targets, I think he was resentful he couldn't find a date of his own so these murders were a way of 'taking back power' from those who have denied him in the past and who he probably blamed for lowering his sense of self-worth. He was also probably for the most part estranged from his family apart from some holiday get-together's perhaps, and probably didn't have many friends at work. Arthur Leigh Allen, in terms of physical and character description still seems like the closest guy to match the profile of the Zodiac. He was a semi-criminal, semi-recluse social deviant that lived in his mothers basement until he moved out into a trailer park. He died of a heart attack in 1991 and I feel even if he wasn't the Zodiac, then whomever was probably shared a similar fate dying in their 50's or 60's after a life of loneliness and excessive drinking, eating and smoking.

He threatened to attack a school bus and "Just shoot out the front tires and then pick off the kiddies as they come bouncing out". Prove your claims
Here is as much as I will say without being prejudice to my own work. Oranchak’s mathematical guy said he found a pattern that picked lines or letters at a skip of 1/2 2/3 3/4 etc.
Which means he extracted an embedded code at best. The Zodiac did have multiple levels of coding, so that is possible.
If in fact that extracted code was truly a substitution transposed cipher and by some means Oranchak found the ‘key’ - He did not, repeat did not solve the z340 cipher.
The z340 cipher is a plain text cipher in English, with truncated words, abbreviations, anagrams, acronyms and Morse code, that code in all directions with each line depending on the intersecting lines to complete the phrases and the complete message.
It is not a substitution with a ‘key’ and the few characters that are transposed as to position are ‘reversed’ to indicate a position replacement or other characters direct the reader to the application direction , so as to not transpose characters.
His solution adds absolutely nothing on the planet earth to the case.
So in the end it’s irrelevant..
Lastly, a code or cryptology is what the code maker wants it to be - what ‘error’ did you find and where did you get a direction to randomly remove text to complete the result that just seems to appeal to you versus having that ‘rightness’ you feel when decoding is done accurately?
To me it’s an- invalid result, and forced..

Kaczynski is a perfect example (and being Polish-American as well, we don’t claim him) but I’ve heard people seriously criticize True Crime podcasts, CrimeCon, etc but I see them as modern day America’s Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries, among others. If it wasn’t for Most Wanted, John List would have never come to justice. 25 years later, and 2,000 miles from where it took place. When it comes to newspapers printing thing at the request of the killer, they can only give themselves away. BTK was foiled by new technology he didn’t thoroughly understand. Based upon the 2007 Zodiac movie: I think the Zodiac was possibly two people. One who wrote the letters (left handed as a right handed person ambidextrously), and another who was a murderer. I think that is why the suspect's hand writing never match the Zodiac's hand writing. And the Zodiac's murders were possibly two people wanting to try to outsmart the judicial system, and wanting to hurt other people. I hope this can help in some way. I think the people who focus on the Zodiac (except Police Officials) relish in the darkness with life stupidly. I hope for justice for those who where affected. And I hope we go on too with life.

I believe it was 3 people, The cab 🚕 driver in San Francisco was just a fluke and random killer , but the zodiac killer took credit for it.

The killing stuff was always kept in a Red Drawer and that is towards the bottom of Z340 in the 16 lines never solved on TV. He also bitched about the atmosphere, he mentioned Black Panthera, he said "My worst enemy is G" he said execution or life in prison, there is much more. He is bitching about many different things. Ok, the identity is found like this: You go to right fist, his name is towards the top, first letter of last name only (full name is in Z408) , now you go out to the middle, you pick randomly, you wind like a snake, you then go clear to the bottom picking letters, it will look like a sine wave. Its plain English First letter will be in the four lines David supposedly solved. He didnt solve Z340.
I wish you would listen to your own words.. Real people died!! Real families are in anguish.. and they deserve the ‘truth’ - no one on the planet creates one of the most unique ciphers in history to just say - I like killing ..

Thats why I solved them. I heard Cheris dad collapsed, I wonder how many others. Found his name. Gave to LE, DOJ and FBI. It was him. But there were no other victims in those so called ciphers, (those are other languages too) I will tell you his name and send pics if you like. Its him all right, dna and confession, no one knows till now.
I really do not know if they told families, but seems it would have leaked out. But then they are now looking at Cheri and Donna with new eyes. Its a step. David did 4 lines only in error out of a 20 line "cipher" Had he continued he would have seen Zodiac's name. He can solve the entire Z340 now, I told him how. Those are not ciphers. Those are diff languages and you just solve them like foreign languages. Send to a translation co if you have to. Thousands believe Oranchak but he didnt solve Z340, even some people on here still believe it. His story that he ran about David Oranchak cracking the z340 was due to reliance on ‘Cameron Polin’ the PR person for the San Francisco division of the FBI, who for some reason thought it would be good to ‘plant’ a false story about the z340 being cracked and David Oranchak’s 15 year deep desire to be famous and significant in the zodiac case allowed him to be the perfect patsy ..
Kevin - is restricted by his editors and management and they have the ‘truth’ from us about the case, but due to real people with real motives and real opportunities and who have self-identified in the actual cracked ciphers and codes, he is not allowed permission to publish that information unless the police ‘officially’ name them as suspects ..

You realize that 4 lines was only solved right ?? Z340 has 20. I did the remaining 16 lines and told David what they were. EVERY so called cipher is an offshoot of the arabic language in a rare format. Put the word or whole line including special char into google translator and see what you get. YOU DO NOT DECIPHER/ What line 4 ends with is ABROAD not DEATH. This is followed up by "I am leaving you people with .......thats line 5. They have been telling you they solved Z340, no, 16 lines were not done, and the 4 done has errors and missing words. Zodiac said if you solve Z408 and Z340 you will have me. His name was in there, both Z340 and Z408. If you are a friend of Kevins please tell him to go the Zodiac task force in SF (Scott)and ask for any new development in the Zodiac case. Those ciphers were not ciphers, I have now explained this to David. 4 lines solved with errors and missing word "abroad" I did lines 5-20 and that had more than enough clues to Zodiac identity. The name found in two so called ciphers matched up to the "edited by" on the front of Lady of Doom. Its one reissue, and that was the thing that was different between them all. Thats why he was putting the words he said in an X

There are similarities between Zodiac and BTK, but motive is different. Zodiac´s murders are not driven by obvious sexual deviation as in case of BTK and also his m.o was very different. Plus AFAIK BTK was confirmed to be somewhere else (at the time of murders I think he was in army), than where Zodiac crimes were commited.
By the way, from known serial killers who really were active in SF area at that period, I always thought Traillside Killer was fairly good suspect for Zodiac (despite the fact that his motive was also sexual deviation, which is not the case of Zodiac) - he actually was suspect for Zodiac, but he was in jail at the time of first December murder.
Hi Kevin. I reached out to you several years ago on a candidate. I have continued to research him and I can tell you with absolute certainty that he checks every box on the Zodiac crimes. There is no angle from which he does not answer. IF there is ever the possibility of a sleuth coming along and presenting a legitimate case for who the Zodiac Killer is, this has to be the one. I should have been able to rule him out. There is a wealth of material available on this individual. It should have been easy to rule him out. Yet nothing has been found that enables me to do so. When I spoke with you, you rejected this individual as a potential suspect out of hand though you said you could be wrong. This is not a criticism because I fully appreciate your position here and it was a logical response on your part. So he remains, not only a viable and compelling candidate, but an absolute gold standard prototype for who the Zodiac Killer was.

1.) I am actually quite optimistic and I think that Zodiac case will be solved in next 10 - 15 years..... and AI will probably help too.
2.) I have no idea who Zodiac killer was, but I think that police and armed forces should search in their archives from 50s or early 60s. Zodiac clearly had something to do with armed forces (regarding recent rumours - I do NOT think it was Hoffman) and it was someone who failed to join armed forces or was fired / left with shame..... I actually think that we never really found real motive for murders yet - but I suppose it was some sort of revenge - I´ll make fools from you.
3.) My suggestion.... Letters, ciphers.... get rid off it and investigate it like if they never existed. Dont search for a clue which never existed. They are false lead, probably "made up" to create false direction of investigation. They say actually nothing relevant about killer.... "collecting slaves for afterlife"? Give me a break..... No. I would suggest one more idea. Great insight. Yes it was revenge. It may be this year it is solved, its real real close. Those ciphers are actually obsecure languages. Translator will tell you the answers or an arabic translation co. You will know his name by Z340 and Z408. Its right there.
I always got the same idea that that collecting slaves was just bs. I'm not sure why he talked about it but I have NEVER believed he actually believes that. About that personal connection part with one of the victims I don't think so but it's totally possible. That would also explain why he seemingly stopped but there are countless other possible reason for that
I think it's importart to remember that intially police investigated the crimes just like any homicides by trying to figure out who would want to kill those teens. That's how you find suspicious people etc who had nothing to do with the killing. The idea that Zodiac knew one of the victims does deserve some more investigating but at this point I don't believe so. Military connection of some type seems very possible. Letters should be looked gor physical evidence like DNA and they have at least palm print from one of them. I also believe Zodiac was clever enough to create false leads in his letters so everything he says should be taken with grain of salt however I do think he might have slipped something about himself for example when he mentioned having basement in one of those letters. Even that could be intentional false clue but one thing Z340 solution proved Zodiac does sometimes give hints. He used almost identical wording in his later letters the frase "I hope you are having" and the fact he used diaconal writing on envelopes including the one Z340 was sent in. So I wonder if he give some other real hints aswell.

Actually dna from semen proved the Jack the Ripper cases were actually by several different people all unrelated and most of them were immigrants who would go on to leave the country. ALA was only Zodiac if all the evidence is wrong: the bloody fingerprints, the palm print, the eyewitness descriptions, the handwriting. Modern FBI profilers also rule out ALA because he was a pedophile: his victims were children. There has never been a case of a pedophile who was also a serial killer of adults.
