(584) MASSIVE Marbled Alcohol Ink Painting

- Hi everyone, in this video, I created a marbled alcohol ink painting on Yupo Paper!
Follow along!
To create the marbled effect on this painting I used 3 shades of black and grey, as well as a stir stick and rubbing alcohol.
I tried something different for this piece, I mixed my ink with alcohol before using it on the yupo paper.
Alcohol ink is different from acrylic and I LOVE learning how to use new mediums. I really enjoyed making it!!

That turned out great. Big or small whichever you decide it’s always nice to see new technics on large scale as well. I wonder if this would work as a background on a gallery canvas smoothed with acrylic gesso?
a trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.

I only have a couple of videos as I don't use alcohol inks too much.
Im sitting here like “why on EARTH haven’t I been using my hands?!?” 😂 Such a simple way to blend out lines to get more gradient! Thanks for the tip!!

You can use gold or silver alcohol ink to make have a metallic color.
This is making and so cool to watch! Do you think sort of alcohol ink painting work on canvas or can it only be done on yupo paper
Thank you! Some people use canvas but it will work a little differently than using Yupo paper.
Can watermarked polyurethane be used to seal it

I don't know, I've only used spray varnishes. If that is a liquid varnish I don't know if it would reactivate the ink at all.

I use synthetic paper. Yupo, Nara, etc. There are a few different brands.
