- In this video I sketch out 3 various ideas for comic drawings. This is know as thumbnail sketches. This can be a great way to get the creative gears turning and a great time saving technique when working on commissions for a client.

Yes. Sometimes I'll get part way through a drawing and think "I can't see any resemblance to the original idea."

This was pretty helpful. I sketched my comic character similarly and got a tolerably good drawing of her crouched like Gollum on a chair to escape a tiny spider. Not exactly a superhero but she does her best.

Hi Rob. I've been watching your videos and I really enjoy them. I'm trying to get back into comic art. I want to make the jump to a digital platform with a stylus and tablet. I have some Adobe background. What software/tablet would you recommend that would be cost effective but also give me some room to grow?

What is your favourite painting program and why?
Rob dont worry about those fanboys, they are being picky as hell, his hand doesn't need to be tilted that much, his web shooters are wrist mounted, not hand mounted, his middle and ring fingers being pushed down to shoot the webbing leave more than enough room to not have to have his wrist practically bent backwards to where it looks like its broken 😂

No he draws in procreate using apple pencil
animatrix 5 clip studio in this one tho, and by the sound of the pencil he’s probably using a wacom tablet this time :p
It’s hard to draw with a mouse. I recommend getting a small tablet. Cheap ones cost about 75$ ish
