The legendary STEREO CHORUS FLANGER was the first TC Electronic product. Ever! Our founder, who is also a musician, was annoyed with the quality of effect pedals available back in the 70s - they were just so noisy. So, being an engineer, he set out to design a pedal that would live up to his expectations and high standards. That was how the SCF was born all the way back in 1976, and the rest is history as they say. But hey! No one said the story was over. On the contrary, we’re adding to that history. In fact, it has come full circle and we’re really entering a new era of the SCF tales. Please meet SCF GOLD - a legendary pedal to be!

If you ever decide to make a lesson package for how you approach cover songs and make arrangements, I'd be the first to buy it! Most covers are so bland, but yours are really unique and creative!

As always you are super inspired and very talented. Thank for the "Head over heels" cover and this amazing demo. Cheers from Canada.

I was literally just talking to someone about this pedal and then I come onto TH-cam and you uploaded this 2 seconds earlier 😂 I feel like you’re reading my mind Mike 😂
    Great demo as always!

If any of you are familiar with the Ike Willis era of Frank Zappa, this is the pedal that Ike used on stage(and still uses). It can be heard in just about every live version of Outside Now. Just saw him play over the weekend (4/29/2023) and it was right there on stage with an Ibanez Tube Screamer. That's all he uses.

It's been years since I (foolishly, regrettably) sold my original tc electronic Chorus+ , so I really can't tell if this reissue sounds the same. But Mike sure makes it sound good!

I'm not sure I understand the difference between Width and Intensity. Is Intensity a blend control?
Btw, I love the way you demo pedals. You make me want so many xD

Depends on the setting. With Chorus its Effectmix, with flanger its Resonance.

As previously said, it depends on which mode you’re in. In chorus mode, intensity acts as the blend between dry and wet whereas width acts as a depth control for how ‘deep’ of a chorusing effect you want (like how much you want it to detune). Hope this helps!

Which is better, this TC SCF or the BOSS CE-2W?

Seeing as there’s a new demo for it does that mean they will be available again to buy? They’ve been mostly AWOL for close to a year.

Also - great use of the flanger. Most people either ignore it or say it’s not good but I’ve always thought the SCF had a great flanger setting.

Good pedal, but I'd rather buy used Polychorus for this price

I dont own this pedal but i own a ehx polychorus and that thing gives a massive volume push when activated and has troubles with hotter signals...So i came here to see if this can replace my polychorus...

Great classic, however is not sounding like the old one at all, if you want that magic, you have to buy a black old one ... your demo and your playing are always inspiring and beautiful anyway!

That’s ridiculous. I have both, and they’re so similar I’d defy you to tell me which was which in a blind test. Come on.

    • @rodolpheponthus2948
      @rodolpheponthus2948 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@davidj.steiger3178 It's just exactly the same. And as always for electronic musical devices, should they be pedals, amps, analog synths, the old 80's radio on your bridge, components AGE and deteriorate, and modify the overall sound, for the better or the worse, that's another debate..
This is why people crave on old stuff.. and think they sound better.. they just sound like aged electrolitic caps and worn in transformers..

I have both, also,I can tell. “Come on” yourself. They’re both outstanding.

Had a few of these. Theyre not that great. And the built in power supply WILL cause noise issues with your board. Just get the Carl Martin x2 or equivalent. Youre welcome.
