Fading Steps
- Debulk if needed
- Set in guideline with open lever
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, guard blend up
- 2 guard blend up
- 3 guard blend up
- Clipper over comb if needed
- Blend guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Set in bald guideline w trimmer
- Blend out with clipper lever closed, half way, 3/4, then fully open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Trim top to desired length
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

I love your work , but I’m just a bit curious, why bring the lining on the back on the neck in so far, I was taught to keep it as wide as possible , just curious? No hate or nothing
Because i don’t like him. Lol jk. So in my opinion I push my line ups a bit back so they can look sharper but not to much where there’s so much growth showing if that makes sense. When you stay to natural the lines don’t look as sharp and I’ve noticed clients get more compliments with stronger lineups if that makes sense. But of course there’s a fine line you can’t push it to far

Honestly when I first started is when I used different clipper to find which just felt best in hand once I found my clipper I just stuck with it, in my opinion it’s best to find your tool and just become great with it if that makes sense. But jrl just sent me some tools so I’ll probably try those out here soon on a video

Yes! I like my tool to cut sharp and close to the skin
I have a question when I cut my own hair for some old reason when I’m fading my side becomes how it supposed to be but going towards the back it’s darker why is that?
the hair is more dense a majority of the time in the back of the head so it usually requires a little more attention & work to get it to match
@@AmpedLab so should I use a more shorter guard when going to the back so it blends ?
yeah but not too much shorter & that’ll depend on the area you’re working in. For example, if you’re using your 1.5guard closed and still feel like the area is super dark then you could go into that area with your 1guard Open since it’s slightly shorter than the 1.5Closed. && then just play with the lever on the 1Guard until you get it how you like where it’s even with the sides
