I’ve been listening to this song for over a decade and I had no idea Steven did backing vocals on this track or any others outside of BWP. Makes sense though since he produced it.
Steven needs to produce another Opeth album! I dont care if it doesnt have growls, this collab needs to happen again, or at least a new Storm Corrosion album!
I think Mike said the 4 albums of prog rock era he did is over and the new one is the start of a new era so I don't know honestly how many growls the next one will have
Thanks for this! Having gotten to Steven Wilson's solo and PT work only after Opeth, apparently I've known Steven Wilson's voice longer than I thought.
You probably know this by now but SW also produced Blackwater Park, you can also hear his back vocals in The Drapery Falls ("Waking up to your sound again...")
Thanks a lot man, I'm currently working on a Windowpane cover and am pulling my hair about the dual back vocals in the last verse (there is one back vocal in the second verse but two in the last one). I'm still not 100% sure about what I hear but your video has been good help.

@@Yupppi he was a co-producer. Back then Mikael was already the main producer. Steven only showed up once the fundamentals of most songs were recorded to put his magic touch on top. He still made a big impact on the records doing that, of course, but Mikael was still the overall visionary.
