Pre-baiting tends to be very productive. The problem in my area (CA) is it is rare to get the spot you pre-baited due to the number of anglers. You are very fortunate to fish areas where you are not surrounded by anglers. Enjoyed the video....tight lines!!!
You are very lucky to have such great places to fish and most of the time by yourself. What a great day of fishing, Really enjoy your fishing trips. I really enjoy that you are always trying to improve your fishing skills from one trip to the next and pass on that information to us. Thanks
I think the large quantities of bait. Can sometime run the bigger carp off. Just something I have noticed. I tend to catch the bigger fish with bigger baits or small traps in the right area.
I had one lake where my friend and I caught more than thirty 1-2 pound carp fishing there all night. His g/f was ticked off that he stayed out fishing with me all night but sometimes you just gotta fish
You should try using cracked corn instead of feed corn for prebating. It cooks WAY faster and they have to work harder to get it. The water temperature dropping wil have carp feeding nonstop till it gets into the low 50s to upper 40s. Good session and great video.
One good way to avoid catfish is to add cinnamon powder to your packbait, don't know why but I've fished ponds stocked for keeping catfish with the stuff and been able to target the carp while any other bait was catfish after catfish
I fish in Iowa also, after fishing pack bait all summer I am going to a boilie approach this fall and next summer in hopes of larger fish. Wondering what your opinion is on the pack bait vs. boilie for larger fish.
I've caught tiny fish on big boilies, and huge fish on a few kernels of sweet corn. I'm not a believer in big fish baits, but I am a believer in doing something different if you're not getting the results you want. Worst case scenario, you learn something. You may find switching locations to be more productive than switching baits, at least that has been my experience. Good luck!
Do you have a favorite reel between the emcast, avenger, kastking, carnivore. Carnivore out of stock, Have an inquiry if they will be restocking. I see in reviews several people don't like the flex on the kastking. Thanks I was looking at your rod selections, I'm waiting till Sept 1 ugly stick coming out with new gx2 I'm looking at the 9' medium rod. I m curios how close this rod would be to the daiwa black widow 3.50 wgt. Rod.
This is my first year of targeting carp and almost never get as many hits with a tight line vs a slightly belly in the line. Do you think I have a setup issue or just picky fish? Me and my wife watch your videos every night, keep up the great content.
Glad you enjoy the videos, thanks. Hard to know what the issue may be. Maybe check out this video about my rig and you might get some ideas th-cam.com/video/36KSNKLIoss/w-d-xo.html
I don’t know if you have ever had this problem but the fin on the top of the back is serrated on the Carp I catch I can never release from the net I have a hard enough time getting them out after netting
Is there a need for the spomb for that small water ? Or you just wanted to concentrate your bait? I mean you could have easily used the baiting spoon to rain down your bait there
Hey Tom, I'm ready to drop some.coin on your method leads. Thanks for supplying the.E bay link but tell me, do you have a merch page? I've looked on your videos and haven't found one.
Yeah buddy that's some great problems to have not being able to keep 3 rods in the water. Love videos from this spot. Technically the more commons you wade through the odds go up for a big grass or mirror. Would love to see you get a bucket lister from a river, would be an arm burner no doubt.

Sounds like a country music song I've heard before, "I'm gonna miss her...."

It's horse feed.
@@OutsidewithTom thanks for that TOM

I’m thinking about trying the same thing. I have had really good luck with pellet. And it’s so easy to use. But I would like to find some larger fish.

My Daiwa reels are better than all the others by a long shot. cabelas.xhuc.net/YgEv2j

Yep, happens all the time.
Will tiger nuts still produce once they get the alcohol smell and taste and turn really gooey?
Yep. th-cam.com/video/OJUbwyFKImM/w-d-xo.html
Hi mate, i noticed most of the fish hooked themselves, do you use the bolt rig or just a running sinker ?
It's a bolt rig, details here. th-cam.com/video/36KSNKLIoss/w-d-xo.html

It is farther than it appears on your 2D screen.
Where did you get the net
