So the phantom of the auditorium was Brian, the boy who was supposed to play the phantom in the first production. Poor kid died after the trapdoor malfunctioned and he fell to his death. And became a spirit that was trapped in the auditorium for decades. He waited and waited for the perfect chance to reprise his role So he can finally rest in peace.
I NEVER REALIZED AS A KID HOW SAD THIS PART ACTUALLY IS. Poor Brian fell to his death on the night he had been working so hard for. 😢 He came back and met Brooke and Zeke and finally performed the role he desperately wanted to play for seventy two years. I love how in the musical he isn't "evil" whereas in the movie and book, he wanted to drag Brooke down to the eternal darkness or the trapdoor. This almost made me cry!
my biggest regret is that i have ONLY found the soundtrack for my all time favorite goosebumps’ novel into an amazing broadway show which i got didn’t get to see. 😢PLEASE GO ON BROADWAY ONCE MORE I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.🎉🎉

It never went on Broadway (yet anyway). Just this concept album and performing at a few other theaters.

My school did a play like this but we never go to see who the Phantom was and my friend came up with a theory that it was actually Emile.
