Great detailed video I’ve been trying to understand my remote and it’s been very hard to find a video in English that is as detailed as yours great job
Omgggg thank you for making this video. We just moved into our house and I've been going out of my mind trying to find the right manual for our unit (its a really old one, like early 2000's so info is hard to find) and all the manuals I found are really poorly translated and missing lots of info. I am definitely saving this video directly to my phone 😅
Self cleaning question: pressing mode and fan doesn't result in self cleaning mode. I see the CL on the remote, but the unit does not self clean. What should I do? Thank you.
I put my unit in Auto mode. It warms the room until it reaches higher than the set temperature, then it switches to cool mode and stays there no matter how cold it gets. It was 62 when I came back later. I cycle through the modes again to auto. It does the same thing again, warms the room up past the setpoint then switches to cool mode and lets the room freeze.
Thanks for the question Haneen. We understand how that can be frustrating. The tree represents "Health Mode". This is a function that is not available in the North American market and does not affect the operation of North American units.
I have this ac and this exact remote, I'm here because my unit is blowing hot air, check connections no leaks, condenser is new and filters and airways are clean
Same. It’s not blowing out anywhere near as cool of air as last season with the same outdoor temps. House was 70 with the units on. Same settings house is now 74.5
@Paul M this will probably be the last time I buy Gree AC units and I won't recommend this brand for anyone, I'm not the only one having this issue either, I have friends who have this issue with Gree
Don’t necessarily blame the unit...maybe the person hooking it up didn’t pressure test properly and your unit had the gas leak out from the connections they hooked up. I’m assuming your trying it in AC or dry mode. This will happen with low gas. My guess is it’s an installation problem. Gree is usually a very good product.
I'm in heating mode, and it's like 0c outside, I cannot get greater / hotter than 20c indoors, no matter if I set it to 26 or 23.... The unit doesn't push hot air. So I do not know why this is happening. Also you haven't explain the little pine tree. I have it shown on the LCD of the remote and I have no clue what it's about and how it is set...
The remote screen only shows degrees, clock icon, time and a light icon below. It turns on and off by itself, the timer on/off buttons don't seem to work and I've tried all the options listed in the video or comments. What do I do?
The wall unit normally will show the set temperature. If you hit temp, it will now shwo the current internal temperature for a moment and then each time you make an adjustment with the controller it will briefly flash the current temp in the room instead of our set temperature.
We just got one of these yesterday but my question is does it ever cut off not like permanently but it just hasn't stopped running like a regular unit. Does this question make since.
The system ramps down once the set temp point is reached and basically just holds the temp while using very little energy at this reduced capacity. This helps minimize hot and cold swings you get with a typical unit that runs at 100% capacity, then 0%, then back at 100% etc
I'm struggling with connecting the Gree+ app on phone to the unit. I use the mode + Turbo button for this when the unit is off but is it possible there isn't a wifi an my model? In Canada. I search for the unit but it's never detected to establish the connection. Not found either when trying manual method.
Hi, Could you please reply me that how can I get benefit from saving energy mode of a non inverter 1 ton Gree AC, as we know a non inverter AC consumes same electricity about 1400 watt,, consistently. Or If I set temperature on 30 C, then will AC consume less energy??
How do I prevent the unit from automatically turning on when we're gone on vacations and I absolutely do want it to turn on at all, is there a way to achieve this without removing the fuse from the electrical box?
If the unit is kicking on automatically when unwanted, this could be due to the Timer On/Off function as described here th-cam.com/video/gR8xmI02Ab4/w-d-xo.html. The unit can also be powered down using the remote, or if the remote is missing, use the aux button as explained here th-cam.com/video/gR8xmI02Ab4/w-d-xo.html. Hope this helps!

I can't seem to get the ON/OFF to show simultaneously after programming. Its one or the other which means only 1 timer is working. Any ideas? Also, if the app and the timer on the remote are both engaged at same time settings, does one override the other?

When in AC mode the unit continues to run even when it reaches the set point...the temp doesn't seem to further reduce so seems it changes to just fan running ... essentially the unit never shuts off completely...is that how it's designed to operate or is something wrong?
I have 3 units in our small home and one of them literally freezes, causing dripping when the ice defrosts. What could possibly be causing this? Also, the units will blow cold air for an hour when the condenser is unplugged and plugged back in (manual restart).

I want to set it to go off a couple hrs so I can sleep, but I cant sleep otherwise as I'm scared itll stay on all night and my electric bill will bill huge. Should the off stay showing? Mine blinks as I set the off time, then continues to blink then disappears. But nothing seems to set. This remote either isnt working or I'm missing something
