  • This Beneteau Antares 11 is their flagship of their outboard cruisers. It is packed full of utility, features and value. I had to make the video quick as it was constantly being viewed and actually sold first thing in the morning on the preview day of the show.

    The ultimate weekender. As an owner of the little sister (Antares 9) the wider gunnels, the copious storage (including space for the trash can to boot), and walk space behind the U-shaped sitting area of the cockpit are nice touches. I like how the service access is actually accessible unlike with my boat having to climb into the aft cabin to start the generator and check breakers. Keep up the good videos. Looking forward to more of your videos.

      Thank you for the kind words and your insight on some differences between the two! The 9 is on my short list for my first "big" boat in a few years once they start coming to the used market here in the US.

    I recently saw an Antares 11 in person. It’s a half year old 2nd hand… I was so disappointed w the general finish of the boat - the fiberglass edges were all rough and unfinished… don’t know if this is the norm for this boat? Any owners here ? Thoughts?

    Good overview of the boat. The Antares 11 has considerably more features than the similarly sized Jeneneau 1095 NC however, the 1095 is priced around $370K I think. Where does the $356K price come from? Is it for this actual boat?

      $356k was the advertised price of this particular boat at the show last year. It was sold within hours of the show opening. They must have under estimated the market and thought it was necessary to mark it down to a special price for the show. I believe the same boat would be around $400k today.

    I still remember Beneteau kicked off the Antares 11 at 117,000 USD in the U.S Market when it first came out.

      Wow! They were giving it away back at that price point.

      @@TheBoatDude I saw it on their website. After a while, they decided to raise the base price as you can see now.

    Hi, thanks for the review. I saw an Antares 11 last week in the Adriatic Sea. She had three solar panels and the owner told me that he produces more than he consumes. Though he told me he regretted not having purchased the flyer option... Now reading some other comments I can see that the one with the fly bright would allow only one (1) solar pannel which actually would not be enough to produce more than consumption... Could you find a way to put more than one pannel on that version? What's your opinion about it ?

    • @TheBoatDude
      @TheBoatDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first thing that comes to mind would be having a way to mount a panel on either side of the boat. I would picture it to be something that would be put in place when you're docked or anchored, and put on the side seeing the sun. The downside would be an obstructed view from inside the salon, as well as not being able to walk down that gunwale.

      @@TheBoatDude thanks for that insight... What boat do you think of that is slightly bigger and still can be purchased in a similar price range or just slightly more?

    • @TheBoatDude
      @TheBoatDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drswish5605 Honestly, I feel that the Antares 11 or it's sister brand Jeanneau with the NC 1095 or NC 37 offer a lot of value for the price for boats in the 35-38 foot range. The first boat outside of those two brands that comes to mind that I would look into is the Regal Grand Coupe 38 or 42. A Cruisers 39 Express Coupe or 42 Cantius also come to mind.

      @@drswish5605 Silly me, I almost forgot one of my favorite brands. Galeon! They have up to six different boats in the size range you're interested in, depending on what region of the world you live in.

    expensive even w/o the teak option. hope the tv is mounted on the clg to swing down. otherwise awkward. other site show this with options at $300k

      If you've found a brand new one for $300k that's available today, buy it! I believe there's at least a six month wait if you order a new one today. You could enjoy the bargain yourself or turn around and sell it for $350k very easily.
