  • Me and Pat hiked from Meldon Reservoir, braved the rain and headed across the moor and up to Dartmoor’s highest peak, “High Willhays” for INTERNATIONAL BIVVY CAMP DAY (standing at 621m above sea level, it’s technically classed as a mountain)

Ahh thanks a lot man :) nice! Where you to? I'd love to live closer to the moor! We loved the Christmas camp up West Mill Tor last year, hope we get some decent weather for it again this year!

Hi mate not the nicest weather for a bivvy. Last time I was out just with a bivvy bag I had to abandon due to thunder and lightning so you are better men than me, I think I will only do it again when I am guaranteed sun lol. Pat said it was his first time on a bivvy camp had you done it before ? I have the sawyer mini and just got the bfree filter, the bfree is a lot faster but the sawyer just seems like it does a better job, probably all just in my head. Great footage of the waterfalls but not sure it's worth dying for lol. What's the mic u use ? It's really good in that wind also seen it strapped to you, is it fairly waterproof? I had not subbed to you but I have fixed that now. Cheers for sharing, ATB Gus

Sorry mate! I try and make a point of replying to comments but this one must have slipped through! I do apologise!
Yeah it was Pat's first time, and maybe my 4th or 5th I think? 3rd up on the moors, and I've done it a couple of times in the woods before :)
I've since lost my sawyer and bought a kayadyn, prefer it already!
Mic is the Rode WirelessGo 2, yeah seems pretty waterproof so far, dunno if I'd take it out in torrential rain though, but I do use it with the gopro media mod which protects the ports from the rain a bit :)
All the best, cheers for the sub and views mate :)
