As someone who actively considers Iggy to be a guilty pleasure i never picked up on this but my Roommate saw me playing and was like "are you gonna beat up Iggy Azalea?" and staring right at one of the shots of her ass "uhhh n-no she's BRITISH" XD
I'm surprised Travis isn't the mayor of Santa Destroy yet. He cleans up the city, owns the only hotel in the city, helps in force the law and plants tress. Plus if any group of assassin's try to take over the city he'll just climb to number 1 again.
I love the implication that once Jeane started talking, he got dragged into long arguments with travis over stupid shit like "what *is* culture anyway?" at 3:43:00
Honestly after playing through half of the game I don't miss the stages at all. All they were was just running through the same rooms anyway and you get that here with the designated missions but you don't HAVE to do all of them if you don't want to. It's win/win.
Sure. But I can't be the only one who thinks the gameplay, no matter where you're at, feels awful but only sometimes. Sonetimes it's FANTASTIC. And other times mechanics just don't work. It's odd, but my experience with the perfect dodge, for example, feels like it works 70% of the time. I've tested it, same timing, same enemy type. It literally stops working or doesn't proc sometimes even on the same frame where it works before. I'm just shocked the gameplay feels this...old? It feels like I'm playing a buggy remaster of a game from 2014. It's bizarre, and I adore the normal Suda 51 weird shit: wrestling moves, chats with bishop, aliens, the weird plot. But the gameplay, the combat just...feels worse than the fucking Avengers game from last year. And that combat was barely average at best. Idk im here for Suda and will finish this shit, but im horribly disappointed in this one. And that's a bad feel
Started playing this and I'm in love with everything about it. It does bug me that my less than 2 year old Switch runs it like trash in the overworld though.
I wasn't keen on some of these alien designs but I like that a few get Letz Shake'd. But, you know, you still get to fight a boss instead of 6 goons in a hallway. Vanishing Point seemed like he'd be cool to fight, though. Kimmy was a nice callback to NMH2 and her fight gave me vibes of Harvey from the first game, fighting on stage with the camera doing weird things. I was kinda underwhelmed by this game at first but it's growing on me pretty quick.
It's cool you get to fight Kimmy but honestly I wish there were more NMH1 callbacks. You can still go to the thunder ryu building but can't do anything there. Feels like this game is more about sudas universe than NMH specifically sometimes.
The worst part of the bed shitting story is probby that the guy had a woman whose reaction to seeing him literally shitting the bed was giving him another chance and offering to help him, and he tried to lie his way out of it rather than accepting said help. Talk about keepers, so many people would just walk out the door. Good for her tho.

I'm trying to get around NMH3's story, but it seems to be, even more than the others, a parody of Mikami-style action games, anime culture and at players who took NMH's games at face value.
Pats like half right when he says that Suda should just be allowed to make an anime. Its more like Suda should be allowed to combine his passions and keep making games with anime style plots. I just think that while its cool that games get anime adaptations they aren't the best things ever. Like Persona and Devil May Cry are better as games rather than animes.

What’s hilarious is that Travis’ inspiration, Johnny Knoxville, is the kind of person that would totally wear that “Fuck Racism” hoodie. So the people that claim it’s ‘off-brand’ or ‘out-of-character’ for Travis to wear such a thing are actually more out of touch with the character. Not to mention how he’s good friends with black fellow weeb Shinobu, loves Japanese media in general (not just the animes, ya losers), married and have kids with a French woman, Sylvia and models a third of his fight style with wrestling moves from luchadors, whom he has great respect for. Travis doesn’t just have a problem with racism. Racism has a problem with Travis Touchdown.

In all seriousness though, I do feel it's sorta out of character for Travis to wear anything that isn't emblazened with either Rocky references or anime girls, let alone a hoodie that would imply any sense of empathy besides his caveman-like empathy towards women. Now that I think about it, really the only hoodie I could imagine Travis wearing is an ahegao one...
