Vincent Comet's Tale - a wonderful ride on old and new Vincents
RIP Ted, you are missed and this video is a wonderful ride from back when John and Irene lived in the USA
This is the full version of the abbreviated video published earlier..
Took the day off work to have a ride out in the Columbia River Gorge with 3 other Vincent Comets.
It was very windy in the Gorge with winds up to 65 mph, so we diverted across the river from Oregon to Washington State and had a 90-mile return ride up to see Mount St. Helens.
We headed through Stevenson on State Road 14 to Carson in Skamania County and then up to Wind River highway to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and McClellan Observation Point to see the south side of Mount St. Helens.
Bikes featured:
1938 Series A Vincent Comet 500cc (on board for the second half of the video)
1950 Series C Vincent Comet 500cc (Touring Trim, touring/valanced fenders, higher handlebars)
1951 Series C Vincent Comet 500cc (on board for the first half of the video)
1950 Series C Vincent Comet 900cc (Special "Ducent" Project with Ducati 900SS Engine installed)
