I have two pens of 3ft by 5ft but I need to reduce the numbers of snails in the pens by preparing to use 8 tyres today. Very quickly how many snails can be put into the tyres as yours at a time? How often do you clean the snails drops (poopoo)? Lastly, do I need to increase the soil if I discover it's reducing as a result of cleaning because anytime I'm removing the poopoo some soil go away with it? Sorry to hear that , first off all bring all of them out put thm in clean water and treat the soil by cooking it to kill every insect in then after then feed them with okro leafs , moringa and dandelion also make sure they are not exposed to heat or sun
Make sure u don't collect the eggs with ordinary hands rather collect the eggs with spoon or rubber or plastic spoon. If u collect the eggs with bare hands then the eggs won't hatch
The volume is too low for elders to hear properly so we missed some crucial points, especially on how much soil should go into tyre, whether we put soil in the openings of tyre or just on the concrete up to just below opening of tyre.
If u have concrete just put the treated soil on if yu don’t put some something like sack and place treated soil on befr and place tyre on pls with this system yu need proper monitoring like taking away waste feeds and removing their waste regularly
Quick notice ,after review, please treat soil outside and let it dry before you put it in tire especially those on iron sheet or any object protecting the snails from ants
