Everything about this song is just right - the tempo, the back sounds, the lyrics, the melody - everything. And also, it is very much relevant to me personally at this point in time.
This song helped me guarantee my future when I was a teen .. In my country, Iran, you have to take a national university exam to enter grad school competing with hundreds of thousands of students just like you to get the chance and be among the few hundreds who go to good public universities for free ... You only had 250 minutes to dump all the knowledge you got in 4 years of high school ... only one shot! It doesn't matter if you're sick that day or you get to seat under a window without a shade ... I was way behind my competition ... ranking 2000+ in preliminary exams just 3-6 weeks behind the final exam day ... The Judgment Day ... This song plus "Loose Yourself" and "Run Rabbit Run" helped me fight back to go after what I deserved ... I had listened to these songs Evey Day and every hour to motivate myself and not give up! I ended up ranking 121 among the Nation and entered the best school without having to pay a dime! 15 years from then ... I have realized another dream ... I'm here in U.S. , secured 3 graduate degrees so far and now working for a fortune 6 company ... NEVER EVER GIVE UP! A true story and a message from heart to all young people who want to change things for the better.
I only wish I could thank him in person. Grew up on Eminem.. Little kid from India.....feelin this shit. Grew up on it and jus happen to talk this way. The world will mourn this man when he's gone... Thank you sir.

There is no song by Eminem that I don't absolutely love! Nearly every one of his songs has a message that I can relate to in one way or another and the ones that don't, I may not be able to relate however I can understand to some extent what he is going through because of the way he puts it. He really knows how to relay a msg while entertaining the world. The song survival is definitely top three for me. Eminem is an absolute Beast! Much love and God bless. Eminem, thank you for sharing your talent with the world. Your songs have gotten me through so much I just only wish you knew!

@@humanbeing4492 that one is an absolute masterpiece, no other rapper would dare to write a fresh song that lyrical and funny (which is a diss towards the media) and put it as the opening song of the greatest hits album.
That railroad sound at the beginning was a lot of our childhoods.
Especially if u grew up on the worse side of the tracks if you know what I mean
Grew up an half hour north of Detroit. I hear train tracks all the time at night and have for years.
I live in Detroit and i'm addicted to the sound of the railroad. All through my childhood to the point where now i live almost right on train tracks
I really don't know why but I also associate the sound with my childhood. I don't know if it comes from this song or something deeper but it'd like a massive flood of flashback memories every time I hear it
Or the wrong edge of the railing
How can you not respect this man
One of his best masterpieces! ❤
This song might be his best ever ever ever. Legendary
That's awesome man
Keep it up !!!
Quite similar with my country.🙃
It was great reading this compelling story... congratulations! 😎👍
"Yeah, fuck the Free World!"
"Shut the fuck up Cheddar!"
Poppa Doc has one!
The Boss MC BOB
The Boss cheddars the man, he's needs his beer surgically removed from his hand!
The Boss MC Bob?
The Boss 😂😂
An uplifting song for hustlers on not to give up. This song is something else.
I only wish I could thank him in person.
Grew up on Eminem..
Little kid from India.....feelin this shit.
Grew up on it and jus happen to talk this way.
The world will mourn this man when he's gone...
Thank you sir.
It's kinda sad just hardcore em fans know this song, I love Lose Yourself, but this this song is almost at Lose Yourslef's level, and it's not even close in popularity as that one. Oh well I guess lose yslf it's way more motivational and ""pop""
Yeah Lose Yourself was better tbh but this is way too underrated.
I Love this Song So much
But Somehow Dumbass people only Know Eminem's Most famous songs I mean this song is a 9/10
And Lose Yourself is 10/10
But even if it's 9 it Still didn't get half the fame *Lose Yourself* Did.
But Great to see people coming back to this song too Such a Brilliant song.
bruh hardcore fans know about his originals not shit from his movie soundtrack. (it's okay) being an example of one.
*Lose yourself* was *10×* better than this Song.
*Lose Yourself* is the best song Ever.
@@SHADYLYRIX İ like this more, when i was ten i found eminem and started listening all his songs, i liked lose yourself too but this song is always in top 5 for me for some reason especially the last verse. this and sing for the moment i used to listen these 2 all day long eleven years ago hoooly shit. i didnt even know english back then but still got hooked.
@@mehmetabdullah250 Tbh any Eminem song can get you to run a Eminem marathon For me the list is
1.Lose Yourself.
2.Sing For the Moment.
3.Buffalo Bill.
4.Not Afraid.
5.Till i Collapse.
But tbh no matter what Eminem song is anyone's fav i think Everyone can agree he's the best Rapper.
one of the most underrated songs in the history of hip hop music
Man the beat, the bars, the flow and overall is making such a spectacular song. I love it so much 😍
I got every ingredient
All I need is the courage
Like I already got the beat
All I need is the words
Got the urge
Suddenly its a surge
Suddenly a new burst of energy has occurred
I'm no longer scared now I'm free as a bird
Fire, one of his best songs.
This one is one of the most underrated Eminem songs, I think it's my fav, so awesome the beat and the lyrics.
It's like a really long but great poem
man you gay as fuk
man you gay as fuk
+Mohamed Sy fuck* & if you're going to cuss someone out at least fix your grammar 😉.
+Mohamed Sy nigga i got my gramar
Nigga shut the fuk up with yo gay ass
Most definitely one of his most Underrated songs, this Song changed My Life, we will always Love you Em 💔
Man Em is on another level. he put us into every mood on his songs. no one can reach the level of The Rap God, GOAT. Some put 2pac, Big, Rakim on their top tier so do i. But man em hits just different. He can make every types of music. This is why he is special and most famous. I respect all rappers who improve the culture but for me Em is the GOAT all around.
Just one of many proofs Em is a rap genius. The flow on this has anyone who is sitting alone (or maybe not) sliding their head from side to side. And the realness and amount of the lyrics are completely off the chart. 6 fuckin' minute song! And it never drags, just steadily gains momentum.
IN YOUR FACE!
Tim Russell you actually do deserve a cookie for that
HAHA
Today is my first day,
Listening to 8 mile,
Eminem rippin' to shreds,
Spitten' rhymes; he is dialed,
In to the beat, every which way.
Woaa
Literally one of Em's best joints.
Did the production himself.
Chanelling Jimmy 100%
What a masterpiece.
It's relatable and it's got a hungry motive behind it. This song is his best my opinion.
One of his best
K
?i dont even know if i meant to comment
+RavRaynRose damnnn you dont know shit
Sing for the moment is the best hands down.
This song is so perfect. I love the reference he makes to his name in the chorus.
I started dreaming. This song gives me a lot of strength.
I'm from Mexico, I started to hear and try to sing this song since 2016-2017 those days where so hard, I lived in a dangerous neighborhood and got a lot of pressure because my divorce... a lot of things happened to me but... I could make my life better... so much better :)
This song saves lives. It is too underrated (as is Em)
The legacy behind this song and instrumental is indescribable
Listening to this always gives me hope that everything is going to be alright!
Beats, flow ,voice, rhymes all perfect one of the greatest to ever do it🙌
one of the most beautiful songs... LEGEND!
I listen to this in my dream and I came here like if you mind that Eminem is the G.O.A.T
this song makes cry everytime i listern it,it puts me back into the game everytime i try to quit, long live legend eminem
Man I still get chills. I was like 8 when I first heard this and I just always felt this in my soul
Love how he incorporated the train going along the tracks into the beat,.you can hear the train going past outside his old house on Dresden, Detroit
I love this song. It explains what everyone feels like
Damn,I can't believe 8 mile road came out 17 yrs ago. Only 22. Anyhow, this is no doubt EM'S greatest hit he ever created. Wasn't popular on 8 mile road album like "lose yourself.". But,this is definitely up there like "Rabbit run."
IMO, this is his best song. There’s so much hunger and determination in it.
I remember when the movie first came out. I was 16 & after me n my boyz watched it in the theaters, it changed our life. Everybody was battling again & shit. We blasted this track all day especially the instrumental. Those were the days.
one of the most underrated Em song, masterpiece
Seriously how can anyone dislike this masterpiece?

Here I'm again three years later found my comment. My english was awful:D
