Hell yeah brother. Best change I ever made to my suspension was fiddling with the tokens. Once I got the harsh bottom out gone I stopped reaching for the pedal switch.

Nice video, you're getting really good at storytelling. That guy on the drop bar bike has insane handling skills.

"actively spent every descent just scanning the trail looking for every, jibby lip that I could possibly find and instinctively steered the bike towards it :)"
Sounds like a really fun ride. Great looking bike. Love the Marino Panther, too. Spinny is rad cuz he likes to ride.

You should upgrade the rear shock on the Marino, maybe a Float X or even a super deluxe

I 2nd that …100% will make the most difference … suntour www.srsuntour.com/products/rear-shock/TRIAir2-3CR-Standard-Mount-7020.html also makes a nice rear shock that will match your forks suspension. The suntour fork your running is really tuneable and super easy to work on. The fork has high and low speed compression and I believe your fork also has high and low speed rebound. I recommend finding a short downhill section and finding middle grounds ( clicks on the dials ) and counting the clicks ( start with factory recommended setting) Take as many runs a as it takes to find the best feeling suspension settings for you. Grab a pad and pen and write down what your settings (click count) where for each run and dial it in. Also there is 100 suspension tuning videos on here to reference. Also tire pressure for the conditions is a big factor as little as 2 psi can really change the way the bike sticks to the ground in the wet conditions you where riding and sliding out in the corners on the Marino.

You have to be nice to Brent, we remember the "Fixed Gears as Road Bikes" video (which you're remaking with the Vigorelli!), 160km brakeless on his first real time on a rixed gear...

I have a 2004 intense M1. The suspension was set up when I raced it and set up perfectly I also have a intense M6 the bike is newer better parts and yet it rides different and yes the suspension is not set up how I’m used to ..so as of now I’m getting it set up so I can ride it better oh by the way they are both downhill mtb bikes.

Here's a question. Is it the bike that makes the rider or is it the rider that makes the bike??? We all know the answer.
Love your vids Eric, and keep on doing what it is that you are doing, we all love it. Bikes=smiles 🙂

If you liked that. Try a Ibis Ripmo v2 or AF
