Very slick table Karl! I have an Olhausen and when I had the cloth and cushions redone, I had the pockets tightened up to make it tough to work on accuracy. I've owned the table for about 3 and a half years now and it's been one the best purchases I've ever made, especially throughout all the covid lockdowns. That aside, hoping to see you post a video, at some point, about 8 ball strategy. I feel the biggest challenge for me at the moment is managing runouts and learning when not to try and clear the table and when it's time to play a safe or move a ball closer to a pocket etc. Keep spreading the good word Karl :)

Hey my man. Very nice video. Your table is stunning!! The grey top is phenomenal and so smart. If I had a bigger house I would go for a steel clash table. They are phenomenal tables. Love the fact you got the dip in the back on your pockets. (smart idea) and the fact you can get all 15 balls in the pocket with round to go. Not played on them no not seen pro events using them, grey I felt it’s modern so for the channel I thought it would look cool, however I think blue will pop better

Hi Karl! Guess the big bounce has something to do with humidity✌🏻better set a table in a climate controlled room or a room where humidity is reduced✌🏻

In my opinion this is the best table in Europe at the moment. Very well engineered and manufactured.
What about Rasson vs Clash?
@@Krushard Rasson: overpriced Chinese product. Clash: made in Europe and 1000 € lower. No brainer to me.
@@hannesluettringhaus1615 I mean, major snooker tournaments are played on Xingpai and Mosconi is on Rasson. I don't care where it's made, maybe Europe needs to start being competitive instead of relying on customers loyalty.

a good fitter cant messup the clash with that amazing frame, but a poor one surely still could. Dynamic has always been very hit n miss. Always liked the GoldCrown4 from brunswick the most, and the older Diamond tables.
We've 14 of these tables in our Clubhouse. It's a great table.

These huge buckets are great, we have similar ones in my club. Also they are far less noisy than the plastic ones.
There's this one particular brand of plastic buckets that tapers a lot towards the bottom, you can only fit like 5 balls in at once. They are the absolute worst. Somehow I also manage to cut my hand open on them.
Just get in the habit of removing only two balls at once, you will stop hurting your hand. I do know what you're talking about, though.
Always thought your table looked sharp. Love the color of the felt. It's the same color as mine.
I had had an issue where one of the slates "popped" and caused that little bump. The person who repaired it said it's due to a number of reasons. Firstly, it wasn't installed correctly, and he isn't even sure that the slate I have is what the original table came with. Second, it wasn't leveled correctly. Third, weather condition changes.
Anyway, loved the video. Talk about bucket pockets, eh?! Hahahaha!!

I love your technical term “big bounce.” My theory is that big bounces happen because the rubber is either too high or too low where the ball collides into it. I’ve seen it happen where the ball runs into it, and if it’s too low, the ball almost bounces upwards, and when it comes down, the rubber imparts some topspin on it, causing it to roll back faster. If it’s too high, it imparts more topspin onto the ball during impact as well. I’ve played in a pool hall where the cushions were too low and the cue ball was larger than the rest of the balls (even though this was a non-coin-operated 9-foot table). Needless to say, ball control was comically hard. Not sure if maybe the rubber shrinks if it’s too cold like how you mentioned about the air conditioning?
Chalk mark on the cushion will give you a big bounce

The weird bounce off the rails is a combination of dirty balls from humidity and the angle of the point of the rail itself. The angle is most likely a bit low and when the ball hits it it grabs more than usual from the humidity causing it to jump.

Curious why you got rid of the Diamond? I don't believe the Clash tables are available in Canada, but i do like the the color combo.

I got rid of it when I stopped touring, and then when I decided to set this channel up I thought the clash looked really nice

Great table…..but I would prefer some kind of blue the cloth. that would be a better contrast to the walls (and balls) 😅

I don't like the look of those fabric pockets. Seems like they could get damaged and fail eventually, and then you'd be at the mercy of whether the company is still in business.
Then again, don't Diamond tables have fabric pockets? Not sure, even though I owned a Diamond at one time. I can't really remember.
