This demonstrates that there are more ways to spend time in the Word than just reading (not to take away from that, because READING the Word, daily, is crucial to developing our relationship with God.) Podcasts, meditating on a single verse, art. There are lovely ways to mix it up. Pretty page. xoxo In Good Faith, ~The HARLOWS
Sandy, I’m so grateful that we are blessed by spending time in the Word together, I thank the Lord for this gift! There is no one like Him!!! It’s great that you used a combination of colored pencils to show us how easily we can achieve shading in our own bibles. Thank you for sharing this pretty art work in great colors lovely lady!!!
Thank you for showing this in mostly real time. I like to see you use the colored pencils most of us can afford. God Bless you for sharing your talent.
I am a Hindu Ive started journaling in my scripture with all the creative stuff that you share here. I am so inspired by you. Thank you so much. You are too good though. Mines all elementary. Lol. I do offer them for the Lord thats the point anyway. Thanks once again
Also the blending pencils work like the white does only it has no pigment so will not lighten the colors. You do need a good amount of pigment on the page though. It won't work with just one light layer of pencil but as you are using multiple layers here with blending the colors it will work just fine.
Wow, so informative😊 Loved this video I have a ton of colored pencils and would love to use them more especially in my bible journaling. I would love if you would do more videos using colored pencils if possible❤
this is beautiful ‼️♥️☺️thanks so much for sharing - i have an inspire bible that i bought a few weeks ago and i have been watching video after video, for ideas, tips and inspiration ~ haven’t started journaling yet i just got to do it ! no mistakes , right ? it’s All To The Glory of God 🙌🏽🙏🏾‼️
If you use derwent blending and burnishing pencils after you color it blends and smooths them out and then puts a shine on it. I love using my prisamcolors then those. It takes that extra wax off too.
Not sure if this will help anyone but i do a lot of colored pencil art, and if you want a very nice blend that will also help get rid of the wax build up from prismacolors try odorless mineral spirits. There are many videos on how to use it and my favorite is Lachri fine art here on you tube, but there are many others. I DO NOT recommend using baby oil or anything like it as it is an oil and therefore will NEVER dry. The OMS works with any art quality pencils, and they don't have to be really expensive. The big difference in price is usually due to lightfast qualities which you are not worried about when it is inside of a book!! Hope that helps!!
♡♡♡🌸Hello dear sweet sister ! I started bible journaling a year ago, and i was very inspired by what you do in the united states, because in my country; in France, there are few people who practice it. A big thank you for this beautiful video which will give me ideas to use !!!! Be blessed ! 🥂🍾🍷𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓭 from la FRANCE 𝓒ⒽⒶ𝓜ⓟ𝓐𝓰𝓝𝓔 𝓢Ⓨ𝓛𝓥𝓘𝓔 ♡♡♡🌸𝓑𝓔 𝓑𝓛𝓔𝓢𝓢 𝓲𝓷 J𝓔𝓢𝓤𝓢 𝓝𝓐𝓜𝓔☆。*。☆。
Happy Sunday Sandy! This page came out really beautiful. I have the prismacolor pencils but I find that they are really hard to sharpen; they tend to break apart even when I use the prismacolor sharpener. Is there a sharpener you recommend? Thanks and God bless! :)
I use a Quietsharp. But if you have a whole set that’s breaking it likely was damaged in shipping. Ive never had breakage issues in decades after going through a lot of sets.

I’m not a fan of shine but I know some are 😍
@@biblejournalingwithsandyal6004 I like the derwent blending pencil a lot. The burnished pencil I can live without nowadays. So I understand
Very pretty tfs

Thanks! I don’t use any solutions in my Bible as they leave stains on the paper, but I do in my other art. 😍

Hi Karen,
I purchased Derwent Super point pencil sharpener and it's great! Some of my Prismacolors still break but not so much than before.
